Warriors Choice Foundation looks to redefine veteran resources
(NewsNation) — Anthony Longo, founder of Warriors Choice Foundation, is helping connect veterans with service dogs and other holistic treatments.
The nonprofit tailors PTSD-treatment plans for each veteran it helps, offering resources in one-on-one counseling, occupational therapy, wellness retreats, sensory deprivation float tanks and more.
'We try to make it our mission to being able to provide essentially that choice back to the individual, being able to say, 'Hey, look, what do I need for me to get better?' and to take it from there and just kind of give them that sovereignty,' Longo told 'Morning in America' on Memorial Day.

By taking veterans' care from the one-size-fits-all mold, Longo said it's possible to recognize 'what's accessible and available out there that isn't really covered through insurance a lot of the times.'
Longo said his own service dog, Bourbon, is 'the founder of this organization.'
'Through his lines and litter, we had 17 puppies that went out to veterans initially, and then as we started growing with the organization,' he said.

Matter of fact, one of the leading surgeons in the world is working with me and he was diagnosed with the same exact thing 32 years ago,' Biden said. 'He's alive and well, doing very well.' Biden spoke with reporters as he left the annual Memorial Day event at Veterans Memorial Park in New Castle, Delaware, which coincided with the 10th anniversary of his son Beau Biden's death. It was also the first time Biden spoke to reporters since a book was published raising questions about his physical and mental fitness while he was president. A White House spokeswoman alleged Thursday that former first lady Jill Biden conspired to keep her husband's health from the American people. Initiatives backed by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. have filled social media feeds with polarizing topics, including questions about raw milk, unmedicated childbirth, ultraprocessed foods and vaccinations.
