Who is Opal Suchata Chuangsri?
Opal Suchata Chuangsri hails from Phuket, Thailand. She was born on September 30, 2003, into a family that owns and operates a hospitality business. She studied at Kajonkietsuksa School and later at Triam Udom Suksa School, where she developed strong communication skills and became culturally fluent.
According to LiveMint, the Miss World 2025 is multilingual, fluent in Thai, Chinese, and English. Uniquely, she can play the ukulele backwards.
At just 16, she launched her own campaign called "Opal For Her," inspired by her personal experience with a benign breast lump that required surgery. This journey motivated her to support women's health through awareness and education.
Her campaign became the centerpiece of her Beauty with a Purpose project at Miss World. She told the judges she wishes to continue this mission and use the platform to contribute to meaningful causes.
Before winning Miss World 2025, she also represented Thailand at Miss Universe 2024. There, she finished as the third runner-up and won the Voice for Change – Silver award. She was crowned Miss World Thailand 2025 on April 22, just days before heading to Hyderabad for the global finale of the 72nd Miss World pageant.

‘Sangarsha Ghadana' movie review: Krishand's rumination on the futility of war brims with quiet inventiveness
The anticipation of violence is as mind-numbing as violence itself — the expectation that someone who has taken a hit will retaliate, with several ways to do so. In Sangarsha Ghadana - The Art of Warfare, which begins with a violent hit by one gang on another, filmmaker Krishand prolongs this anticipation to upset the audience's expectations of what would transpire during that period. Kodamazha Suni (Sanup Padaveedan), a former gangster who has moved on and is now living a respectable life, has just lost four of his trusted lieutenants in a brutal attack by an unknown gang led by Kunjan (Vishnu Agasthya). One would expect the man to be plotting his revenge, especially when he sits with the other members of his former gang. The comical policemen tailing him also probably expected the same. But go closer, and the conversations are about a pepper drink and special masala dosa that Suni would like to have before leaving the city. This sequence is representative of the brand of delicious, understated humour that Sangarsha Ghadana, just like in Krishand's previous films, is filled with. In another scene, a gang member admonishes a cook who adds Ajinomoto in a dish — 'There are people out there to kill us. You don't need to'. At the heart of the film lies Chinese military strategist Sun Tzu's ancient work 'The Art of War', which has inspired many political and military leaders over the centuries. But Krishand, while seemingly applying the strategies in the book to the local gang war, is also questioning the futility of the endless cycles of violence. Sangarsha Ghadana- The Art of Warfare (Malayalam) Director: Kirshand Cast: Vishnu Agasthya, Sanup Padaveedan, Mrudula Murali, Zhinz Shan, Rahul Rajagopal Runtime: 107 minutes Storyline: Four of a retired gangster's trusted lieutenants are eliminated by an unknown gang, leading to a hunt for the suspects and an anticipation for revenge Along with lessons from the military treatise, he juxtaposes the episodes in the violent gang war with references to actual wars and the toll they have taken on humanity — the unvanquished Alexander's invasions, the Napoleonic wars, the world wars, the war in Syria and the ongoing brutal occupation of Israel in Palestine, all play along with this relatively minor gang war in a corner of Kerala. But the underlying emotions, as well as motivations and overt actions and reactions, are very much universal, a point which Krishand doesn't attempt to drill into our heads but let it seep in ever so slowly. Actors like Zhinz Shan and Rahul Rajagopal, who have featured in Krishand's past films, feature in key roles, but it is Vishnu Agasthya who steals the scene. Filmmaker Manoj Kana also has some memorable moments as a police officer interrogating the gangsters. The police procedural almost ends up as a self-aware spoof of many recent police stories. The distinct visual and narrative style, which was evident in Krishand's previous works like Aavasavyuhamand Purusha Pretham, is very much on view here, with a few nods to masters like Wong Kar-Wai. It is by no means a repetition, but a signature, of a filmmaker who has an original voice and ideas that are not derivative. Freakier Friday movie review: Lindsay Lohan, Jamie Lee Curtis film raises racial-ethnic-mix bar, serves a bit of Karan Johar
Freakier Friday Movie Review & Rating: There's much that's similar between the 2003 Freaky Friday and the 2025 Freakier Friday, starting with the central body-swapping premise, and the return of two main stars, Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan. The films may be separated by more than two decades, but the vibe is very much the same: get the sentiments out, but keep it broad and light, and make things right. In the previous one, Dr Tess Coleman (Jamie Lee Curtis) and teenage daughter Anna (Lindsay Lohan) are at loggerheads by the former's impending marriage, with the latter not thrilled at the prospect of a stepdad. This time around, it is the turn of former rocker-present celebrity events manager Anna's Gen Z daughter Harper (Julia Butters) to be unhappy at the former falling hard for single hot dad Eric (Manny Jacinto), who is in possession of a daughter of his own, the very British Lily (Sophia Hammons), said girl being satisfactorily snooty and stand-offish, and therefore Harper's enemy number one. Confusion gets seriously confounded when the swap this time is split four ways, with the foursome becoming recipients of each other's bodies. And innermost secrets. It took me a while to figure out who is whom, and I will let you do the discovering for yourself, but while all of this is going on, and fun and games ensue, a couple of things do rise to the surface. Even all those years back, the fact that a Chinese restaurant and fortune cookies and a Chinese woman was responsible for the body-swap, felt stereotyped: you know, these exotic slit-eyed Easterners and their peculiar ways, who could even magic up an earthquake, the last of which is the tipping point in the new film too. It must be noted that this sequel feels as if director Nisha Ganatra, Canadian-American-of-Indian-descent, wants to address, and rectify, some of those elements in the choice of the ensemble cast. The soothsayer this time is an American woman (Vanessa Bayer). The very smooth Jacinto is a Philippines-born Canadian. And Canadian actor-of-Tamil-descent Maitreyi Ramakishnan, who broke out with 'Never Have I Ever', gets a sizeable supporting role, which definitely raises the racial-ethnic-mix bar. There are a few lines revolving around look-ism, and age-ism which you might take exception to, but the whole thing is kept so good-natured, with a couple of moving moments thrown in for good measure about how 'family is everything' (how very Karan Johan and Bollywood of them), that you find yourself not wanting to nit-pick. Also Read | Sorry, Baby movie review: A bitingly real film about trauma, told with humour and humanity Some of the returning faces include the handsome Mark Harmon, having greyed nicely, and Chad Michael Murray — all those flowy staw-coloured locks and motorcycle muscles — leaves a mark as the younger guy who still has the hots for the older Curtis. Butters proves she wasn't a one scene wonder (remember the precocious young thing from 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood'?), and both Jacinto and Hammons carry off their parts well. But finally, everything comes back to the pair who are the reason we show up this time too. LiLo, long having left her Mean Girl avatar behind, strums up the guitar as vigorously, but the real star turn is reserved for the Grandma-Mom-Celebrity Author character played by Curtis, who is having herself a whale of a time, everything everywhere all at once.
