The Department of Posts has announced temporary suspension of services on August 2 at the post offices under the Tiruchi and Lalgudi Head Post Offices in view of the implementation of the next generation advanced postal technology (APT) application on August 4.
The temporary suspension of services is necessary to facilitate data migration, system validation, and configuration to ensure that the new system goes live smoothly and efficiently. On August 2, no public transactions will be carried out at the post offices.
The APT application is designed to offer an enhanced user experience, faster service delivery and a more customer-friendly interface to deliver smarter, efficient, and future-ready postal operations.
