This 2-Ingredient Breakfast Has 30 Grams of Protein and Tastes Like Frosting
I'm always looking for ways to increase my protein intake. These amino acids are essential for repairing and maintaining the body's tissues and organs and for building muscle. But there are only so many egg whites, chicken breasts, beans and almonds one can down before throwing in the towel and accepting a fate of lackluster gym sessions. That's when life demands a bit of creativity to reawaken the palate and make "fit food" fun again. Enter protein yogurt: a simple, two-ingredient blend of basic Greek yogurt and vanilla-flavored protein powder that yields a taste and consistency similar to frosting. How to make protein yogurt Did I mention it requires only two ingredients? Joey Skladany/CNET Making protein yogurt is so easy, it would almost certainly elicit eye rolls from Martha Stewart types, but for fast, nutritious meal options, the goal is not to impress a celebrity chef -- it's to nourish and satiate. Simply mix three-quarters of a cup (generally a serving) of your favorite Greek yogurt and one serving scoop of vanilla or vanilla frosting-flavored protein powder together. That's it. I know what you're probably thinking: a) That's the most basic recipe in the world, and b) There is no way this is going to taste like dessert. And to that, I'd say, you're partially correct. Greek yogurt is high in protein and has a thick, frosting-like texture. Joey Skladany/CNET Yes, it will take less than 10 seconds to complete and no, I'm not here to convince you that protein powder and yogurt taste like a treat from Magnolia Bakery. But the dynamic duo takes a very plain breakfast staple and zhuzhs it up with an additional 25 grams to 30 grams of extra protein. Protein yogurt is completely customizable Once it's done, you can eat it with fresh fruit or granola. Pamela Vachon/CNET A yogurt with a higher fat content will yield an even creamier mouthfeel. It doesn't have to be Greek, although I love the texture. You also don't have to limit yourself to whey protein, as there are plenty of other powders on the market to accommodate specific preferences and dietary needs. For our vegan friends, this includes pea, hemp and brown rice varieties that can also be mixed into dairy-free cashew, almond or coconut yogurts. Flavor is customizable based on the protein powder, as well, and you don't have to rely on the container's contents. Toss in seeds, nut butters, chocolate chips, coconut flakes or even oats for a heartier concoction. My personal favorite yogurt for this recipe is Siggi's Icelandic skyr or Fage BestSelf Lactose-Free if my tummy is feeling off. I mix them with protein powder brand EHP Labs OxyWhey in the vanilla ice cream flavor.

I use this anti-aging eye cream daily and I look 10 years younger than I am. Psst — it's on sale for $22
When I turned 40, with a baby on the way, it became much more challenging to conceal the puffy eyes and dark circles of a sleepless night. A few years later, I added another kiddo and tired eyes became my trademark look. I tried dozens of products to revive the delicate under-eye area, but it wasn't until CeraVe's Eye Repair Cream that I actually started to notice long-term improvements. As someone with easily irritated eyes, this lightweight cream is my daily go-to. So, when my four-year-old is up at 3 a.m. with an ear infection, CeraVe's eye cream will help to hide the evidence of a sleepless night. I'm not the only one who loves this affordable beauty product — according to our data, hundreds of Yahoo readers have also snapped it up. Read on to find out why I'm obsessed — and to shop it on sale for $22 on Amazon. With continued use, this lightweight cream will help reduce the look of puffiness and dark circles. This fragrance-free, ophthalmologist-tested eye cream contains three essential ceramides and hydrating hyaluronic acid. It's made with a patented delivery system that continually releases the ingredients so your eyes stay moisturized all day long. With continued regular use, you will notice a reduction in dark circles and under-eye puffiness. Apply a few dots of the cream to your under-eye area in the morning and evening, and gently smooth until fully absorbed. It works great alone or under makeup. The CeraVe eye cream, developed with dermatologists, is non-comedogenic and great for all skin types. It's great for sensitive eyes: I love how the CeraVe cream moisturizes without irritating my sensitive eyes. It absorbs quickly and is a great primer for my under-eye concealer. Each application requires just a few dots of the product, so the little tube goes a long way. Dermatologist-approved: I also appreciate that the product has been recognized by the Canadian Dermatology Association and has been well-tested by experts. It's not just some gimmicky eye cream but one that has a lot of science behind it, which matters to me. Great for hyperpigmentation: With more than 3,500 reviews and a 4.3-star rating, it's clear I am not the only one who swears by this hydrating cream. One shopper said they wished they had found it sooner as it significantly "reduced hyperpigmentation" under their eyes. They stated that their under-eye area became 30 per cent lighter, which they say is a "big win." Not greasy: Another reviewer mentions how "non-greasy" the cream is and that it doesn't irritate sensitive eyes, while another person calls it a "wonderful product." $22 $24 at Amazon 12 summer dresses under $100 that flatter your arms, tummy and everything in between I've been using this anti-aging face cream for over a year. It's just like La Mer's $525 cream, but it's $476 cheaper 11 Amazon fashion finds for women over 40 that are surprisingly stylish — all under $50 It's not a quick-fix eye cream: This product is great, but it's not a fast-acting wonder cream. You need to use it for several weeks, if not months, to see any remarkable improvements. Also, you can't skip applications, or it will set your results back. Commit to using it for a solid six months before you assess if it's working for you. Some Amazon reviewers mentioned they saw no visible difference after a few weeks; however, from personal experience, the cream takes time to do its thing. I promise, if you stick with it, your under-eye area will improve — just don't give up! It's not as hydrating as other eye creams: The eye cream could be a tad thicker; however, it probably wouldn't absorb as well if it was. CeraVe has a unique formula that may take a while to work, but once it does, it's great. My advice? Don't throw in the towel just yet. With hundreds of five-star reviews, I am far from the only fan of CeraVe's Eye Repair Cream. One reviewer, who has struggled with "hollow eyes" and "hyperpigmentation" their "whole life," says the eye cream has made their under-eye area "about 30 per cent lighter" — a "big win" for them. They write that their dark eye bags are "barely noticeable" after applying makeup. "I will definitely be buying [it] again." You can currently shop my favourite anti-aging eye cream for $22. Another shopper agrees it's a "great cream for dark circles," adding that it works "way better than expensive eye creams." "Every dollar spent on it is worth it," they write. "My advice," echoes a third shopper: "Throw out all your expensive skin care" and only buy CeraVe products. They're "reasonably priced," and, importantly, "they work." Despite thousands of five-star reviews, some warn it's "not a miracle product" and agree it can take a few months to show noticeable results. I love CeraVe products, and this one is no exception. It's gentle on my eye area, and after using it for a few months straight, I saw significant improvements in my dark circles and under-eye puffiness. That said, if you are looking for something to quickly erase a night out with the girls or a long overseas flight, this is probably not going to provide the quick fix you need. This lightweight cream will yield results, but it's going to take some time. If you commit to using it twice a day for the next six months, I'm certain you will be impressed with what you see (and don't see) under your eyes in the morning.

Why you need to switch up your cleanser for summmer — and the 10 you should know about now
We all cleanse twice a day — or at least we should — and while cleansers that remove dirt, grime and makeup are an abundant and hardworking breed, finding options that work for your specific skin needs and leave your complexion looking and feeling fresh, vital and nourished, rather than tight, stripped, sensitive or dry, is more of a challenge. Moreover, call me hard to please, but I am also partial to those cleansers that not only deliver the goods for the complexion, but also bolster my mind by adding some sensorial elegance and joy to ones day, especially when it comes to my evening routine. In skincare terms, the summer months tend to signal that it's time to switch up your cleansing routine, as we spend more time outdoors and are inevitably more exposed to the elements, including dust and pollution. At this time of year we are likely to apply sunscreen more often and to sweat more excessively too. First and foremost, while you may want to reconsider rethinking your cleanser as the weather warms, so that it works harder for you, do remember that the basic cleansing theory remains the same, ensuring that you continue to double cleanse at night. 'In the summer you might want to switch from a more thick, unctuous balm such as Skin Rocks Cleansing Balm, (£55 or Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, (£49 to something lighter like Tatcha Camellia Cleansing oil, (£48 says skincare expert and KMP Skin Clinic founder Katharine MacKenzie Paterson. 'That said, my go-to for a weeknight cleanse in hot weather - so removing make up, SPF, and 'the day'- would be Medik8 Lipid Balance Cleansing Oil (£29 and then a gentle foaming cleanser like Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cleanser, (£39 or Epionce Purifying Wash, (£41 as I find that I can get oilier and be more prone to breakouts with the heat, so using a foaming cleanser feels more purifying' Consultant dermatologist Alexis Granite agrees. 'Foaming or gel cleansers tend to be the ideal texture for summer, as they are best equipped to clear away the extra perspiration, grime and residue that is typical of warmer months, as well as makeup and sunscreen. In addition, I recommend looking out for ingredients within cleansers that can help reduce congestion, such as Benzoyl Peroxide, Glycolic and Salicylic Acid too.' Dr Granite's personal picks? 'CeraVe's new Balancing Air Foam Cleanser, (£14.49 is formulated with Glycosyline to control oil while also providing hydration, great for summer. I also like Natura Bissé Oxygen Mousse Foaming Cleanser, (£52 and Youth to the People Superfood Cleanser, (£29 My own skin tends to go haywire as summer arrives, but I find that CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser with Salicylic Acid, (£14.50 ) Dermalogica Magnetic[+] Afterglow Cleanser, (£49 which features positively charged Hyaluronic Acid to help retain moisture and boost glow, and Allies of Skin Molecular Silk Hydrating Cleanser, (£38 manage to keep my complexion on the straight and narrow. Finally, those feeling the urge to cleanse their skin more in the heat, should ensure that they are not overdoing it, or stripping their skin. 'Choose a cleanser well suited to your skin type, and look for options that are pH-balanced and sulfate-free,' says 'Ingredients such as ceramides, Centella Asiatica, Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin and Allantoin can also ensure the barrier is supported, while also allowing the product to thoroughly cleanse.
