Arjun Tendulkar gets engaged: Who is Saaniya Chandhok, the cricketer's fiancée and granddaughter of business tycoon Ravi Ghai?

Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, got engaged to Saaniya Chandhok on Wednesday in a private ceremony, Indian Today reported. The 25-year-old Arjun currently plays for Goa in domestic cricket after making a move from Mumbai. He is also a part of the Mumbai Indians squad in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In 17 first-class matches, Arjun has taken 37 wickets, including a five-wicket haul, and scored 532 runs. He has one century and two fifties to his name. In IPL, he has taken three wickets in five matches at an economy of 9.36. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Who is Saaniya Chandhok, Arjun Tendulkar's fiancée? Meanwhile, Saaniya Chandhok is reportedly the daughter of Mumbai businessman Gaurav Ghai and the granddaughter of tycoon Ravi Ghai, who heads the Graviss Group, a hospitality, frozen food and real estate conglomerate. The Graviss Group runs the Baskin Robbins' India operations. As per the Economic Times, Graviss Food Solutions Private Limited posted a revenue of Rs 624 crore in FY23-24, a 20% rise from the previous year. Its authorised capital stands at ₹2.23 crore, with a paid-up capital of Rs 90,100. While it's not known if Saaniya Chandhok is also involved with the Graviss Group, it has been reported that she runs the Mr. Paws Pet Spa & Store LLP, a pet grooming and care business based out of Mumbai since 2022. Family feud in Ghai family As per a report in the Free Press Journal, the relationship between Ravi and his son Gaurav is not very good. Ravi, in July 2025, filed a complaint at Mumbai's Marine Drive Police Station against his son, accusing him of forgery and taking control of the Graviss Group by fraud. Ravi claimed that the forgery took place when he was recovering from a cancer treatment, as his son created a supplementary Family Settlement Agreement using his forged signature and took full control of the company. He also stopped Ravi's monthly allowance of Rs 12.5 lakh. 'Whenever I returned to India after receiving treatment, Gaurav and his wife Sumita would come to me and ask for my signatures on various documents, stating that they were necessary for the business. Since I was distressed due to my illness and had no reason to suspect my son, I would sign the documents brought by my son and daughter-in-law without thoroughly examining them. During this period, Gaurav used to give me Rs 12.5 lakh per month for my expenses," his complaint read. 'I did not suspect my son or his wife, nor did I have the physical or mental condition to suspect what was happening. After that, in January 2025, I did not get any money from Gaurav. When I asked, he said, 'Wait a bit, the money will come'. Till April I did not receive any money. My chief financial officer Farangilal Baburam Goyal told me that he has come to know that Gaurav has made himself the self-proclaimed chairman of the company and has taken full control of my company." STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD The police, however, did not file the FIR and have referred the matter for arbitration.

War 2 Global Advance Bookings Day 1: Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR's Film Earns Rs 29 Crore

Last Updated: Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's action spectacle grossed over Rs 32 crore in India on its opening day. The much-anticipated War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani, has wrapped up its global day-one advance bookings on a surprisingly modest note. The film has raked in a total of Rs 29 crore in pre-sales worldwide, Rs 20.57 crore from India and Rs 11 crore from overseas, despite sky-high expectations. Early estimates by Sacnilk peg its gross at around ₹32.21 crore in India (including block seats) across all languages. While advance numbers surged briefly after Telugu states opened bookings, touching a peak of over 20,000 ticket sales per hour on BookMyShow, the final figures are considered underwhelming for a film from the YRF Spy Universe. War 2 Box Office Expectations Remain High Despite the average advance sales, War 2 is still projected to open strong on Friday. Industry trackers estimate a Rs 50 crore net opening in India, with Rs 27–28 crore from the Hindi version and Rs 22 crore from the Telugu version. On the international front, the film is expected to rake in USD 2.3–2.5 million (Rs 20–22 crore), pushing the global day 1 gross closer to Rs 80 crore. The film's underwhelming pre-sales have put the spotlight on audience reception. War 2 now heavily relies on positive word of mouth to carry momentum through the weekend. Rajinikanth's Coolie Surpasses War 2 Superstar Rajinikanth is proving to be a real deal. He has once again displayed his unmatched box office dominance with his gangster action drama film Coolie. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film has shattered records with a staggering Rs 100 crore in advance bookings for its opening weekend. With Rs 38 crore already collected for day 1 in India alone and Rs 45 crore from overseas, Coolie has outpaced War 2's day 1 advances by more than 4 times. This highlights the enormous fan base of Rajinikanth and the anticipation surrounding the Tamil blockbuster. War 2 Storyline And Cast War 2 marks the sixth installment in Yash Raj Films' Spy Universe. The action drama sees Hrithik Roshan reprise his role as Major Kabir Dhaliwal, but this time the stakes are even higher as he has now gone rogue. Jr NTR makes his Bollywood debut as elite agent Vikram, sent to track down and eliminate Kabir. The film promises globe-trotting thrills, jaw-dropping stunts, tense face-offs, and emotional stakes that aim to deepen the franchise's appeal. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film also stars Kiara Advani, adding another layer of intrigue to the already star-studded ensemble.
