Unreleased Beyoncé music stolen from rental car amid Cowboy Carter tour
The men, Christopher Grant and Diandre Blue, told officers that they parked their rented 2024 Jeep Wagoneer for about an hour in a parking garage at the Krog Street Market on July 8, according to a police report.
Someone broke the vehicle's rear window while it was unattended and made off with two suitcases that the men said had their belongings in them, police said.
'Mr Grant also advised that he was carrying some personal, sensitive information for the musician Beyoncé,' according to the police report, which the Atlanta Police Department posted on its website Monday.
According to the report, the stolen items included a set of hard drives, which had some unreleased music on them; set lists for past and future concerts; and footage plans for one of the singer's upcoming shows. The hard drives also contained watermarked music, a digital identifier used by recording artists for copyright purposes and to prevent piracy. A 13-inch MacBook Air was also reported stolen.

It was not immediately clear whether the hard drives had been stored inside the two suitcases. A value of $1, which appeared to be a placeholder, was assigned in the police report to each of the stolen hard drives.
Two officers dusted the vehicle for fingerprints, which yielded two very light prints, according to investigators, who said that security cameras had recorded the break-in.
A pair of AirPods Max headphones, which were stolen and can be tracked via GPS, led officers to a person described in the report as suspicious.

The 46-year-old singer and bandmate Kelly Rowland reunited with Beyonce on her Cowboy Carter tour last month, and Michelle spent the entire performance worrying about losing her footing after taking a stumble on TV back in 2004 when the group were promoting their final studio album on BET's 106 + Park. Speaking on Checking In w/ Record Breakers, Michelle said: "I was trying to stay focused because y'all know I still have trauma from falling on 106 + Park. "I need y'all to be my therapist about that too, because every time I perform with the girls, it's in my head: 'Do not fall, do not fall, do not fall.'" To help reduce her risk of falling, Michelle enlisted former Destiny's Child stylist Ty Hunter to cut the fringe off the bottom of her trousers, but jokingly branded him "such a butthole at times" after he took her request to the head of wardrobe for the tour. She said: "Ty Hunter is like, child, we got to cut these fringes off because we do not want Michelle to fall. "I was like, 'Bro, that was between me and you. You didn't have to make no announcement.' But yeah, that's still in my head. Steps do frighten me now." Michelle made sure she rehearsed the steps but still didn't "trust" her footwork. She said: "Did I rehearse them steps? Sure did. "And then when it came to I was like, oh my gosh, you dummy. You let fear or lack of trust [in] on that first step, because y'all, I was like, I'm not gonna let social media do me. I'm not. "Because if that were to happen, and I fell, I would not be able to live that down for the next 20 years. So that's probably the only thing I didn't like, was that I didn't trust the steps." But despite her concerns, Michelle still had a blast when she took to the stage alongside her Destiny's Child bandmates at Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium on 26 July. She said: . "We turned into little girls again, them teenage girls, those younger girls who just wanted to sing, dance and travel the world. And Beyoncé was like, 'Y'all, let's have fun. We just gonna go out here and have fun. Whatever happens happens, but we're gonna have fun.' " "I knew we were gonna have fun. We always have fun. But when you come from Destiny's Child, and then when you see the level of excellence that Beyoncé performs at, you step it up, right?" The trio's first performance together since Beyonce's 2018 Coachella performance saw the Texas Hold 'Em singer disappear beneath the stage as the group's Independent Woman played and when she reemerged, she was in silhouette with her bandmates either side, striking a Charlie's Angels pose. As they walked down the stage catwalk, Beyonce said: "Destiny's Child, b****." The trio then performed their 2005 single Lose My Breath, Beyonce's song Energy, and 2001's Bootylicious.

Stella McCartney releasing Beyonce's Blackbird T-shirt
Stella McCartney is releasing a T-shirt inspired by a costume worn by Beyonce which references Beatles song Blackbird. The fashion designer's limited edition white tees feature two blackbirds across the chest and is inspired by an outfit she created for by the pop star for the London leg of her Cowboy Carter tour in June as a nod to Beyonce's cover of the track, which was originally performed by Stella's father Sir Paul McCartney. In a post on Instagram after her final London show in June, Beyonce thanked the Beatles legend for writing the song and Stella for creating the special design. She wrote: "Thank you, Sir Paul McCartney, for writing one of the best songs ever made. "Every time I sing it I feel so honored. And it is a full circle moment to wear your beautiful daughter's design. Thank you, London, for creating unforgettable memories for me and my family. Holla at 'ya when I come on tour again!" The new limited edition T-shirts will sell for £550 and 30 per cent of the proceeds of sales via the Stella McCartney website will be donated to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund to help those affected by the recent floods in Beyonce's native Texas. A statement posted on the designer's website reads: "This T-shirt is embellished with two blackbirds on the front in sparkling lead-free crystals – referencing a style worn by Beyonce during her Cowboy Carter Tour in London and The Beatles' iconic song, written by Paul McCartney. "Spun from organic cotton and shaped to a classic tee silhouette, pair it with our iconic vegan chaps or denim jeans for the full look. "Stella McCartney will donate 30 per cent of net sales from the sale of the Blackbird Graphic Print T-Shirt made via to The Kerr County Flood Relief Fund (a fund set up by The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country). Beyonce's cover of the Beatles track - spelled Blackbiird - featured on her country album Cowboy Carter. Sir Paul McCartney previously revealed he'd spoken to the pop star about the track and he was thrilled with her "magnificent version". In a post on his Facebook page, the music legend wrote: "I am so happy with Beyonce's version of my song Blackbird. I think she does a magnificent version of it and it reinforces the civil rights message that inspired me to write the song in the first place. "I think Beyonce has done a fab version and would urge anyone who has not heard it yet to check it out. You are going to love it! "I spoke to her on FaceTime and she thanked me for writing it and letting her do it. I told her the pleasure was all mine and I thought she had done a killer version of the song. Strummingbird festival to feature Shaboozey, Jelly Roll and other country stars
It's been a rough couple of years for music festivals. But Australia's love of country music is helping buck the trend (no pun intended) with the announcement of brand new country music festival Strummingbird, featuring an impressive roster of exciting international and local talent. It's been long rumoured, but prolific genre-bending country star Jelly Roll has finally locked in his first Australian tour, headlining the first instalment of Strummingbird, which hits the Sunshine Coast, Newcastle and Perth in October and November. Even if you don't know songs such as 'Liar', 'Need A Favour' and 'Son Of A Sinner' by name, they have been so enormous and omnipresent that you'll certainly know his voice when you hear it. His enormous raspy croon imbues every song with a hard-worn sense of soul that is clearly a result of a hell of a life lived so far. The Tennessee singer is in the final stages of playing enormous venues in the US as part of Post Malone's Big Ass Stadium tour, so you can bet he'll be in excellent touch when he makes it to Australia for the very first time in October. Most of us first heard Shaboozey when he popped up on Beyoncé's 2024 album Cowboy Carter. It wasn't long before he made a massive splash on his own though, with his irresistible hip-hop-tinged take on country exploding worldwide via the irresistible 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)'. In terms of sales, that song was the biggest of 2024 in the US, and second biggest in Australia, and while he hasn't exactly set the charts alight with any other tracks since, his third album Where I've Been, Isn't Where I'm Going proved that this man is no flash in the pan. The record is a beautiful display of where country is going, pulling in sounds from various other styles of music to culminate in a truly We don't want to jump to any conclusions, but given the two headliners have worked together in the past, we can't help but wonder if we'll get to see them team up at these shows … There's plenty of gold beyond those headliners too. Texan country rockers Treaty Oak Revival make their Australian debut as part of the festival and their gritty take on country will go down a treat. In keeping with the musical diversity of the headliners, their most recent show was part of the punk-filled Vans Warped Tour line up in California, which should give you a sense that they are another act rewriting the rules on what country can be. Fans will also catch world-class talent like James Johnston, Kaylee Bell, Wade Forster, Julia Cole, The Dreggs and more — scroll down for the full line-up. As well as a striking list of international and local country stars, the festival promises all the trimmings country fans will want, including linedancing, barbecue, a mechanical bull and more. Australian music fans are in for a fruitful end of the year, with an endless parade of acclaimed musicians all set to hit our shores in coming months. Before the year is through, we'll see AC/DC, Metallica, Oasis, Kendrick Lamar, Mariah Carey, Tyler, The Creator, Pixies, Crowded House and many more on our shores. Not to mention the other music festivals yet to release their line-ups for late 2025 and early 2026. A busy touring calendar can be a double-edged sword for music fans. While we've rarely had this many opportunities to see so much esteemed talent in such a short space of time, it can weight heavily on the wallets of gig-goers who are financially bound to pick and choose the events and artists they will support. Strummingbird remains an unknown proposition, but given its focus on areas outside of major cities and a specific form of music, as well as their decision to include massively popular artists who have never played in Australia before, there is reason to have hope that this type of curated event will find its audience. Time will tell. There has long been healthy support for country music in Australia, but the love for the genre has exploded in recent years. Strummingbird is just the latest in a long line of country music events that have taken over the Australian festival calendar in recent years. Alongside well-loved properties like CMC Rocks, Gympie Muster, Tamworth Country Music Festival and the likes, newer events like Ridin' Hearts, Savannah in the Round, Groundwater and Dashville have all come into the market to satisfy a certain This event does position itself a little differently to the others, with an unashamed focus on younger country music audiences who aren't afraid of artists who stray well away from the traditions of the form. While country music is definitely in vogue right now, there's no reason to expect that this is a fad that will fade away. This style of music has endured for longer than most, and with acts like those on the Strummingbird line-up reshaping what the genre can sound like, there's no end to the possibilities of its growth.
