Fabiani brings the joys of fatherhood in 'The Greatest' campaign

TimesLIVE15-06-2025
This Father's Day Fabiani shines a spotlight on the men who lead with heart, presence and timeless style. This has culminated in the launch of their video series, The Greatest, which is a heartwarming tribute to the enduring influence of father figures for their quiet strength, bold presence and the legacy they leave behind.
To continue a legacy that speaks to distinguished men, Fabiani tapped two of South Africa's brightest stars, actor Bonko Khoza and rapper Khulane 'Khuli Chana' Morule, for a Father's Day collaboration. This is also paired with three bold new fragrances (Refined, Sharp and Lusso Sportivo) with scents crafted for fathers like the two icons who show up every day with integrity, wisdom, and love.
Khuli and Khoza have been celebrated for their groundbreaking achievements in film and music but for their partnership with Fabiani, they dropped their mics and scripts for candid conversations on fatherhood with their daughters. The videos and subsequent photo shoot show off the brand's 2025 autumn/winter collection as a canvas of the Italian-inspired men's wear and quality, which has been a favourite for lovers of premium men's wear.
To help bring the conversations to life on The Greatest, Khuli and Khoza come alive by sharing their innermost raw moments that were captured through each of their conversations with their kids. All done in the latest functional and impeccable designs. This heartfelt nod to modern-day dads is not only showcased through Khuli and Khoza walking the talk, but in doing so alongside Fabiani's signature and timeless quiet luxury. The two icons also shine in the brand's latest luxe accessories that reflect the essence of a great man with sleek designs that prioritise durability and fashion-forward flair.
This video captures the rawness and in the moments that we look to capture each of the fathers in with their kid/s.

But Khoza's latest role promises to capture the public's imagination even further. Come September 7, Khoza will showcase his versatility in the much-anticipated crime drama "Levels", premiering on Mzansi Magic. Produced and written by Busisiwe Ntintili of The Ntintili Factory, the series will take viewers on a thrilling journey of ambition, power and the consequences that follow in the wake of a monumental heist. "Levels" delves into that tantalising fantasy, all sparked by the disappearance of R1 billion in foreign currency during a daring robbery at a private airport. In the wake of this chaos, Crime Intelligence mobilises high-ranking detective Bongi Nkosi, played by Lunathi Mpofu ("Fatal Seduction", "Disaster Holiday"), to lead the investigation. However, things take a complicated turn when they send a rising star from head office, detective Stephen Vilakazi (Khoza), to assist her. "When detective Vilakazi starts connecting the dots, Bongi's professional and personal life begin to unravel. She is not only dealing with a partner who's watching her every move, but she also has a past that won't stay buried and a growing attraction that could wreck everything. "Mzansi Magic is always committed to bold, local storytelling that reflects the complexities of our society. 'Levels' is a fresh take on crime, power and ambition, all wrapped in a gripping storyline that will keep viewers coming back for more,' said Shirley Adonisi, director of Local Entertainment Channels, M-Net. Viewers are in store for a mix of crime, romance, and unexpected betrayals surrounding a life-altering billion-rand heist. The cast also includes Melusi Mbhele, Sikelelwa Vuyelani, and Unathi Mkhize. • "Levels" is set to air on Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161) on September 7 at 7.30pm.

Bushbuckridge Film Festival: Giving accessibility and community inclusion through film

The inaugural Bushbuckridge Film Festival is one of the few festivals that encourage home-grown talent to nurture their gifts locally. Festivals, whether for music or other art disciplines, are often hosted in urban areas; hence, most creatives based in rural parts of the country are usually encouraged to leave and move to the big city to be recognised. Held in rural Mpumalanga, the inaugural Bushbuckridge Film Festival is one of the few festivals that encourage home-grown talent to nurture their gifts locally. The Bushbuckridge Film Festival is a flagship programme of the Bushbuckridge Arts Festival, established in 2023. The festival is steadfast in its mission: to champion authentic storytelling and nurture the next generation of filmmakers from Bushbuckridge and beyond. 'The festival is growing, and it's inspiring to see its trajectory reach new heights,' says festival coordinator Dipa Khoza. The festival is free to the public and has been ongoing from Wednesday until this Saturday. 'These components are designed to uplift and educate aspiring writers, filmmakers, actors, and producers, giving them meaningful opportunities to learn from and engage with some of South Africa's most respected voices in film and television,' Khoza said. Celebrated television legend Jerry Phele, whose breakout role was on Emzini Wezinsizwa as Mofokeng, will also be in attendance to share his insights. Former Rhythm City actor Elliot Sabelo Makhubo will also be present to share his industry insight. Born in Orinoco A, in Bushbuckridge, Skeem Saam actor Thabo Mkhabela will have somewhat of a homecoming at the festival. 'I'm honoured to be part of the Bushbuckridge Film Festival,' shared Mkhabela. 'It feels good to return home and contribute to a platform that empowers our local talent.' The festival is committed to accessibility and community inclusion. Screenings and festival events will take place across five key villages in Bushbuckridge — Manyeli Village, Utah Community Hall, Obrigado Hombesed Care in Zoeknog (Pharea Village), Hluvukani Hall, and Mabharule Village in Lillydale — bringing the big screen directly to the people. 'This grassroots approach sparks dialogue, fosters pride in local talent, and redefines what cultural access looks like in rural spaces,' said the festival coordinator, Khoza.
