The human resources executive accused of having an affair with her tech company's CEO after they were captured on the kiss cam at a Coldplay concert has reportedly left her job.
Astronomer chief people officer Kristin Cabot has resigned from her position following the ensuing controversy, TMZ reported Thursday.
'Kristin Cabot is no longer with Astronomer — she's resigned,' a representative told the outlet.
Cabot's now-defunct LinkedIn page said she'd been with the DataOps company since November 2024, according to multiple reports. Her profile described her as a 'passionate people leader.'
Cabot was caught last week canoodling with Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, whose own resignation was confirmed to the Daily News on Saturday. The couple panicked upon seeing themselves on the jumbotron during a Coldplay concert in Massachusetts, sparking speculation about their relationship.
'Either they're having an affair, or they're just very shy,' Coldplay frontman Chris Martin joked from the stage after seeing the couple's reaction onscreen.
Footage of the incident attracted more than 45 million views on social media, according to Newsweek , with savvy Internet users quickly identifying the man as Byron and the woman as his head of HR.
Byron is reportedly married and shares two kids with his wife, who is not Cabot.
Astronomer's new CEO, Pete DeJoy, said Monday that his former colleagues' conduct brought unwanted attention to the company.
'While I would never have wished for it to happen like this, Astronomer is now a household name,' DeJoy wrote in a post shared on LinkedIn.
News of Byron and Cabot's resignations come shortly after Astronomer released a statement announcing it had launched a formal investigation into the debacle. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service

#SHOWBIZ: After Coldplay kiss-cam drama, Gwyneth Paltrow now 'face' for AI firm Astronomer

KUALA LUMPUR: US based AI startup Astronomer has enlisted Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow as its "very temporary" spokesperson, just a week after a viral kiss-cam scandal involving two of its top executives drew widespread attention. Paltrow, who is also the ex-wife of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, appeared in a one-minute video shared across the company's social media platforms, addressing the public on behalf of Astronomer's more than 300 employees. "I have been hired on a very temporary basis to speak on behalf of the 300-plus employees at Astronomer. "Astronomer has gotten a lot of questions over the last few days, and they wanted me to answer the most common ones," she said in the video. The Hollywood star, however, steered clear of addressing the incident involving former CEO Andy Byron and HR chief Kristin Cabot, who were seen embracing on a kiss-cam during a Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts on July 16. Both Byron and Cabot, who were reportedly married to other people at the time, have since stepped down from their roles. Instead, Paltrow focused her scripted message on Astronomer's core business — promoting its data workflow and AI automation services. "Yes, Astronomer is the best place to run Apache Airflow, unifying the experience of running data, ML, and AI pipelines at scale. "We have been thrilled so many people have a newfound interest in data workflow automation." Responding to other queries — "How is your social media team holding up?" — Paltrow continued to avoid addressing the controversy directly, instead offering a wry smile before highlighting the company's upcoming Beyond Analytics event in September. "Yes, there is still room available at our Beyond Analytics event," she said. She closed the video by saying: "Thank you for your interest in Astronomer. We will now be going back to what we do best: delivering game-changing results to our customers." The unexpected celebrity cameo, delivered with Paltrow's trademark deadpan humour, appears to be part of Astronomer's effort to defuse the media frenzy and refocus attention on its business.

After Coldplay exposed a cheating scandal in their company, Astronomer hires Chris Martin's wife (VIDEO)

NEW YORK, July 26 — Tech company Astronomer suddenly became famous overnight after a cheating fiasco at a Coldplay concert. Astronomer's CEO Andy Byron and HR head Kristin Cabot have resigned after being quite literally being put under the spotlight at Coldplay's Boston stop. Frontman Chris Martin joked at seeing the couple's reaction, 'Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy,' not knowing that he was very much correct. In a strange turn of events, Astronomer has hired Martin's ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow as a temporary spokesperson. Paltrow said in a clip uploaded by Astronomer today: 'Thank you for your interest in Astronomer. I've been hired on a very temporary basis to speak on behalf of the 300-plus employees at Astronomer.' Astronomer uploads new video with Gwyneth Paltrow, ex-wife of Coldplay's Chris Martin, answering questions as a temporary spokesperson. July 26, 2025 While Paltrow did not actually answer questions pertaining to the scandal instead thanking viewers for their interest in the company and 'data workflow automation', it was an ingenious way of giving the company some much-needed positive PR.

VIDEO: Gwyneth Paltrow hired by Astronomer to 'answer' questions after scandal

Gwyneth Paltrow married Chris Martin in 2003. The couple divorce in 2016. In a surprising turn of events, Astronomer has hired Gwyneth Paltrow to 'answer questions' from the Internet. Paltrow and Coldplay's frontman Chris Martin married in 2003 and divorced in 2016. This comes after the company's now former-CEO was mired in controversy after being seen at a Coldplay concert with the firm's HR head. The Oscar-winning Paltrow says in the video that she has been hired on a "very temporary" basis to answer common questions that people have been asking on the Internet. While the star doesn't actually answer any questions or address any real concerns that netizens may have conveyed earlier, the actor does redirect the conversation to the products that the firm already offers. Just last week, Astronomer's CEO Andy Byron put in his resignation, according to a statement issued by the tech company. Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot have since left Astronomer. Photo: TIkTok The company said on X, "As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met. "Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted. The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO." The HR head Kristin Cabot, accused of having an affair with Byron, has reportedly left her job as well, according to TMZ. – Khaleej Times/Tribune News Service Thank you for your interest in Astronomer. — Astronomer (@astronomerio) July 25, 2025
