When the rapper was well into his show at Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City - part of his '+Pretty +Dirty World Tour' - he paused his song to strike up a conversation with a mum.
Speaking in Spanish, he said: 'With all due respect, how old are they?'
He continued: 'A year old? Less? Do you think it's a good idea to bring a one-year-old baby to a concert where the decibels are this f***ing high?
'That baby doesn't even know what it's doing here.'
A video of the rapper's rant has since gone viral online.
Maluma, a dad to a one-year-old girl, told the mum she should have taken precautions to protect the baby's ears.
'Next time, protect their ears or something,' he said. 'For real. It's heavy. It's your responsibility.'
He went on to scold her, saying he would never do that as a parent.
'You're waving them around like they're a toy,' he said.
'That baby doesn't want to be there, for real. I'm telling you with all love and respect, now that I'm a father… would never bring them to a concert. For the next time, be a bit more aware.'
Justin Timberlake fans fear for 'tired' star after series of 'lazy' performances on world tour
Maluma's remarks have sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some praising his comments and others criticising him for shaming the mum.
One person wrote on TikTok: 'Every mother knows what she has to do with her child. If not, they should limit the capacity to a certain age.
"What's the point in putting her through that in front of so many people?'
But another applauded him, writing: "He probably saved that kid from not being able to hear for the rest of his life."
Others criticised the organisers and security for allowing a baby into a rap concert.
Maluma's tour is set to continue across Latin America, the US and Europe.
It comes as fans of Justin Timberlake recently slammed the singer for a string of "lazy performances" during his The Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which wrapped up on July 30.
Critics claimed Justin was 'hardly singing' and leaning too much on the crowd, with many branding the shows 'lazy.'
However, after his July 23 gig in Tbilisi, Georgia, a wave of support hit social media, with fans urging the pop star to rest.

Bravo star Jennifer Welch claims 'fat' Trump voters should be banned from Mexican restaurants in explosive rant

A former Bravo star has been slammed after claiming 'fat a**' Trump voters should be 'banned' from Mexican, Chinese and Indian restaurants. Jennifer Welch, who formerly starred on short-lived reality show, Sweet Home, Oklahoma, took aim at white MAGA voters who support deporting illegal migrants but still have 'the audacity to walk into a Mexican restaurant.' Appearing on her I've Had It podcast, Welch ranted: 'I've had it with white people that triple Trumped. that have the nerve and the audacity to walk into a Mexican restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, an Indian restaurant, go to a gay hairdresser. 'I don't think you should be able to enjoy anything but Cracker Barrel.' Laying into 'triple Trumpers' - people who voted for Trump in the 2016, 2020 and 2024 elections - she said: 'If you want to triple Trump, if you want to brow beat DEI, if you want to brow beat gay people, you want to brow beat black people as you have been doing for hundreds of years… 'White people that triple Trumped should be boycotted, banned from enjoying the best thing that America has to offer, which is multiculturalism. Jennifer Welch took aim at white MAGA voters who support deporting immigrants but still have 'the audacity to walk into a Mexican restaurant - Trump pictured August 11 'Get your fat a***s out of the Mexican restaurant. Get your fat a***s over at a Cracker Barrel because nobody wants to see your f****ng smug a**, teeny weeny pink arm, big gut around. 'Nobody wants to see that s**t, no one.' Fans quickly slammed the 'pompous and arrogant' interior designer - with one writing: 'It's always the most intolerant and hateful pretending to love everyone. Others wrote: 'Yes listen to this elite rich white woman. 'What a pompous, arrogant thing to say. 'Uber Karen. I voted for Trump and I'm having a burrito with chorizo and spinach dip for lunch today. 'I know a lot of black, hispanic and Indian people who voted Trump three times as well. 'How about those Mexican-Americans, Thai, Chinese, Jewish, Muslim, black, Gay etc people that triple voted for Trump? I wonder what she thinks about them?' Back in April Welch had a tense debate with former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel when he joined I've Had It to discuss the problems within the Democratic Party. Emanuel previously served as Chicago's mayor from 2011 to 2019, was an adviser to President Bill Clinton, served as President Barack Obama 's chief of staff and was an ambassador to Japan under President Joe Biden. The two Democrats struggled to find a consensus on transgender rights and their conversation quickly morphed into a tense debate, hinting at a divide that may cause trouble in 2028. The issue has become a divisive topic across the aisle, but Republicans have seemed to find unity, while Democrats haven't formed a consensus on how to approach transgender rights. Welch, a more progressive member of the left, laid into Emanuel during their conversation when he accused Kamala Harris of not prioritizing economic issues, noting that Democrats weren't 'really good about the family room issues.' 'The only room we were doing really well was the bathroom, and that's the smallest room in the house,' he continued, referencing the ongoing debate about allowing transgender individuals to use the bathroom they prefer. The comment set Welch on a tirade, and she quickly responded that his claim was, 'total bulls**t.' Emanuel argued that transgender issues were 'tangential,' and not a core value on the left, to which Welch vehemently disagreed. 'I'm so sick of Democrats like you selling out and saying this. You know who talks about trans people more than anybody? MAGA. MAGA is the most genital-obsessed political party I have ever seen,' she said. Welch argued that Harris did have a comprehensive economic plan and even referenced the vice president's proposal to provide up to $25,000 in down payment assistance for first-time homebuyers. She went on to slam Donald Trump for 'droning on about Hannibal Lecter' and accused Democrats of losing because they're 'playing the game with the rulebook' while Republicans have 'ripped up the rulebook.' Emanuel then threw up his hands and pushed back, saying as mayor, he did deal with the 'bathroom issue' but that transgender rights were not a cornerstone of the Democratic party. 'They're the gender-obsessed weirdos, [Republicans], not us [Democrats]. We're the ones who fight for Social Security. We fight for Medicare, and yeah, we're not gonna bully trans people,' Welch argued.

Robin Thicke swarmed by female fans as he serenades crowd at Hamptons event following honeymoon with April Love Geary

Robin Thicke took over the Hamptons this weekend at a charity event where he serenaded the crowd before he was unexpectedly swarmed by female fans. The 48-year-old singer performed at NYC Second Chance Rescue's 4th Annual Hamptons Benefit 'Concert For A Cause' on Friday. Robin made a fashion statement as he took the stage in a white suit with no shirt underneath, which he paired with multiple gold necklaces, white boots and his usual black sunglasses. His appearance in Bridgehampton, New York, - at a private residence owned by Ken and Maria Fishel - took place days after he returned from a romantic honeymoon in French Polynesia with his wife April Love Geary, 30. On August 8, Robin took the stage, asking the crowd, 'You guys ready to party?' He began on the piano as he sang his hit 'Magic' as the majority of the crowd took out their phones to record The Masked Singer judge as he serenaded his fans. Afterwards, he told the crowd, 'It's great to be here. This song goes out to all the beautiful ladies in the house,' as he began signing 'Lost Without U.' The 48-year-old took the stage in a svelte white suit with no shirt underneath and paired it with multiple gold necklaces and his usual black sunglasses His third song, 'Let's Stay Together,' had his female fans swooning over Robin as he slow danced onstage by himself and grooved to the love song. Transitioning into upbeat music for his fourth and final song, he closed his mini concert with the hit 'Blurred Lines,' which became the talk of 2013 when he came out with the music video featuring T.I. and Pharrell Williams - and later thrust the model starring in it, Emily Ratajkowski, into the spotlight. It was when he made his way into the crowd, however, that his fans went crazy, with the singer performing the pop melody in the middle of the dance floor. Robin thanked everyone as he concluded his set and attempted to make a quick exit. Prior to his performance, NYC Second Chance Rescue founders Jennifer Brooks and Lisa Blanco honored actress and passionate advocate Christine Evangelista, star of Fear the Walking Dead, with the Angel Award. 'It's a pretty unique American story. We believe in second changes, we give second chances. We love a redemption arc - just look at Robert Downey Jr. or everybody's favorite Martha Stewart,' she said during her acceptance speech. 'We are made and drawn to, and root for the underdog in healing and transforming. And that's what makes rescue work so profound. 'These creatures, they teach us empathy and gratitude and they open our hearts in ways we never have imagined. That's why I'm very proud to support NYC Second Chance Rescue.' The 38-year-old shared her touching story of using the non-profit organization - that provides medical care to cats and dogs through their foster care system and brick-and-mortar shelter - to adopt her dog. The event, which raised over $206,000 for the charity, was also attended by special guest Melissa Gorga of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, who helped host the evening, as well as The White Lotus actress Alexandra Daddario and singer-songwriter Celina Savage who performed during cocktail hour. NYC Second Chance Rescue wrote on their Instagram that it was a special night that 'celebrated 16,000 lives saved and raised vital funds to save even more.' 'Every year, millions of animals lose their lives in shelters across the nation due to overcrowding, abuse, and neglect. But Friday night was living proof that, together, we can be the change they need,' they stated. Robin, who took photos earlier in the night, was seen holding one of the charity's rescue dogs as he posed for photos with the organization's leaders. He appeared in good spirits following his honeymoon, which took place in the private island of Tetiaroa in French Polynesia. He and April wed on May 30 at a resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on Friday, May 30, following a six-year engagement. The model captioned a series of PDA-filled photos from her honeymoon, 'Honeymoon is over…but I feel like our life is a never ending honeymoon? Thank you [The Brando resort] for the best week of our lives! 'Truly one of the best resorts I've ever stayed at. The staff, the restaurants, the location - all amazing. And thank you [InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa] for our last night before our early flight home!' Robin and April have three children together: daughters Mia Love, seven, and Lola Alain, six, and son Luca Patrick, four. The singer also has a 15-year-old son, Julian Fuego, from his previous marriage to Paula Patton.
