Danah: Meet Kuwait's AI-Generated Influencer Taking Over TikTok And Social Media
In a recent video tour of the newly launched Villa Shams Beach Club, Danah appeared polished, confident, and indistinguishable from any human influencer. But what sets her apart is simple: she doesn't exist.
Created by Kuwaiti content studio @ai.lenskw, Danah is the brainchild of Abdulaziz Al-Rashed, a digital artist and entrepreneur exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence and cultural storytelling.
According to Al-Rashed, Danah was built to do more than simply look good on screen. 'She represents a new way of telling stories that reflect our identity, values, and lifestyle—while embracing cutting-edge technology,' he said.
Unlike earlier iterations of AI avatars designed purely for entertainment or advertising, Danah is positioned as both a personality and a practical tool. One of her core purposes is to represent business owners who may not feel comfortable appearing on camera themselves, whether for cultural, personal, or professional reasons.
'She gives people a voice without forcing them into the spotlight,' Al-Rashed explained. 'Not everyone wants to become the face of their brand, but everyone wants to be heard.'
Danah is programmed to appear relatable, approachable, and culturally aware—qualities often missing from overly generic virtual personas. Her content is curated to reflect regional aesthetics and norms while still maintaining broad digital appeal.
Still, her arrival sparks questions about authenticity in the influencer space. As the line between real and virtual continues to blur, critics argue that audiences may find it harder to trust content that isn't anchored in real-life experience. Others worry about the impact on creative industries, where human voices are already being challenged by machine-generated content.
There's also skepticism about emotional connection. 'It might look impressive at first,' said one TikTok user in the comments section.
'But it's hard to connect with something that isn't real—no matter how pretty it looks.'
That hasn't stopped Danah from gaining traction. Her carefully crafted presence, sleek visuals, and professionally scripted delivery are already generating buzz online. For some, she represents the future of branding and communication. For others, she's a sign of how far AI has infiltrated everyday life.
As for what comes next, Al-Rashed says his team is already developing customised virtual personalities for private clients—including business owners, lifestyle brands, and even institutions seeking digital ambassadors.
Danah, it seems, is just the beginning.
Her Instagram handle is @danah.vibes, and her TikTok content can be found at @danah.vibeskw—just in case you're wondering what Kuwait's next-generation influencer actually looks like.

You've got a friend in me!
Gift giving is a universal love language and what better way to tell your mate or gang of friends that you care. This International Friendship Day, GulfWeekly lists down some out-of-the-box ideas to surprise your loved ones. 1) Eco-friendly Friend Lately, mindful gifts have been gaining popularity. Perhaps a plant or a herb garden kit, or a solar-powered gadget. Other options include sustainable clothing or makeup, plantable greeting cards, reusable water bottles … be creative! 2) Customisable blocks They are all the rage on TikTok. Many companies create sets that let you build a Lego replica of a pet or even a favourite fictional character. If this doesn't make you the favourite friend, we don't know what else will! 3) Re-create old memories This was a viral trend on social media a while ago, with some content creators still producing similar videos, where they stitch an old photo in which they're posing in a particular style or wearing certain coloured clothes, or standing in a certain order, with a new photo posing and standing in the same way, showing the efflux of time a decade or more later. 4) A radio message Leave words of endearment for that special human in your life at the local radio station. Most channels will be willing to air the messages with the person's name. That way, all of Bahrain gets to witness the affection you have for each other. 5) Memory book This one's great especially for a long-distance friend. Gather memorabilia, like old movie tickets or photographs from over the decades, and assemble a treasure trove of precious moments. Nothing screams 'I love you' like a hand-made gift because it shows that you were willing to put in the effort. 6) Artistic tribute Commission a local artist to paint or sketch a portrait for your friend. Perhaps a caricature of them or one with their pet. The idea of a gift is to give something people wouldn't typically buy for themselves. It is a fun gift, which also supports local talent – what's not to like! 7) Offbeat adventures Get out of your comfort zones together. Embark on that long-planned trip to sky dive in Spain, or sign up for a cooking class or a yoga or spin session at the gym. It's now or never! 8) Girls just want to have fun There's nothing like pouring your heart out to your girls in between sips of bubbly and pretty-looking bites. Book an afternoon tea with your pals.

It's hard to maintain sobriety while touring, says Miley Cyrus
Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles Miley Cyrus thinks it's 'really hard to maintain sobriety' while touring. The 32-year-old pop star hasn't paired an album with live shows since her Bangerz Tour back in 2014, and Miley has now revealed that she has no intention of hitting the road anytime soon. During an appearance on Good Morning America, Miley - who quit using marijuana in 2017 - explained: 'It's really hard to maintain sobriety when you're on the road, which is kind of a pillar of stability in my life. None of this that I create would even be possible without the way I think about things.' Miley also thinks there's an insufficient 'infrastructure' for touring artists. The pop star said: 'I do have the physical ability. I have the opportunities to tour, I wish I had the desire, but I don't. I also don't think that there's an infrastructure that supports artists.' Miley acknowledged that touring has negatively impacted her mental health in the past. The Wrecking Ball hitmaker said: 'I do think it's really hard to keep mental wellness.' In 2023, Miley admitted that touring 'isn't healthy' for her. The singer has enjoyed huge success in her music career - but Miley believes that touring 'erases [her] humanity' and stifles her ability to write new songs. The Flowers hitmaker explained in a TikTok video: 'Having every day the relationship between you and other humans being subject and observer isn't healthy for me because it erases my humanity and my connection. And without my humanity and my connection, I can't be a songwriter, which is my priority.' Miley also reflected on the differences between herself and her dad, music star Billy Ray Cyrus. The chart-topping singer admitted that she had financial and emotional stability during her younger years, whereas her dad was forced to struggle through the early years of his life. Miley explained: 'My dad grew up the opposite of me.
