
Johor cops looking for missing teenager
ISKANDAR PUTERI: Police are looking for a teenager who has not returned home from school since Friday (May 16).
Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm M. Kumarasan said they received a missing person report about 15-year-old Nur Iman Iskandar Abdullah from the boy's father at 4pm on the same day.
'The teenager from SMK Bukit Indah was last seen in a Baju Melayu, which he wore to a Hari Raya event at his school.
'Nur Iman Iskandar is about 153cm tall and weighs around 50kg,' he said in a statement on Sunday.
He added that the teenager was believed to have had a misunderstanding with his family before going missing.
ACP Kumarasan urged anyone with information on the teenager's whereabouts to contact assistant investigating officer Sarjan Muhammad Izra Syamir Iruan at 013-905 2230 or the Iskandar Puteri police headquarters control centre at 07-511 3622 or 07-511 4486.

Police arrest man for alleged molestation in Bayan Lepas
GEORGE TOWN: Police have confirmed the arrest of a 24-year-old foreign man who allegedly molested a woman near an apartment in Bayan Lepas. A video of the suspect being confronted recently went viral online. George Town OCPD ACP Abdul Rozak Muhammad reported that the arrest followed a police report lodged by the 38-year-old victim at about 12.45am on Tuesday. According to Abdul, the woman claimed the suspect groped her breast during the incident at about 11.15pm on Monday (June 2). "We have arrested the suspect following the report, and he is currently being remanded to assist in investigations under Section 354 of the Penal Code for outraging a person's modesty. "The case will be referred to the deputy public prosecutor for further action once investigations are completed," he said on Thursday (June 5). Abdul also confirmed that police were acting on the viral video showing the suspect being questioned and expressed appreciation for the public's assistance in apprehending the suspect.

Body found in Bangsar construction site is that of missing British man, say cops
KUALA LUMPUR: Police have confirmed that the body found at a construction site here was of missing United Kingdom national Joardan Michael John Johnson-Doyle Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa confirmed this in a statement Thursday (June 5). "The body was visually identified by an uncle of the deceased who had confirmed the identity via tattoos on his body. This confirms the body of the man who was reported missing on June 2," he said. He added that the cause of death was identified as "chest injury due to fall from height". "No elements of foul play were found at the scene of the incident. The case has been classified as a Sudden Death Report," he said. Comm Rusdi also urged the public not to speculate on the matter. UK-based Daily Mail reported that the 25-year-old was last seen in Healy Mac's Irish Bar in Bangsar at 8pm on May 27 when he sent his best friend Owen a photograph of the pub's quiz night poster. Kuantan boy reported missing found safe in relative's house
KUANTAN: A 13-year-old student who was reported missing on Sunday was found safe at his relative's house in Chukai, Terengganu. Pahang police chief Comm Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman said police was informed by the family that the boy was seen at the house at about 7am yesterday. 'Police have conducted investigations and interviewed the boy's family members. 'We are conducting further investigations to find out how the student reached the location,' he told reporters after the Pahang police contingent monthly assembly. On Sunday, Kuantan OCPD Assistant Commissioner Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu was reported to have said the teenager was reported missing after leaving home without the family's knowledge. It is believed that this was because he refused to return to his boarding school in Pekan. Meanwhile, Comm Yahaya said the police seized various types of drugs worth more than RM84mil with 4,839 arrests in the first four months of this year. He said this was a sharp increase compared to the same period last year, where RM8.2mil worth of seizures were recorded while the total number of arrests was 4,810. 'A total of 190 cases were brought to court from January to April this year compared to 220 cases for the same period, Bernama reported. 'The police also succeeded in busting four drug trafficking syndicates involving six arrests through Ops Indera,' Comm Yahaya said. In addition, he said the Commercial Crime Investigation Department had opened 817 investigation papers involving losses worth RM26mil.
