Lindsey Vonn Opts for Effortless Glam with Messy Bun for ‘F1: The Movie' Premiere in New York City

Lindsey Vonn styled a teased updo on the red carpet for the world premiere of 'F1: The Movie,' directed by Joseph Kosinski and starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris, on Monday night in New York City. Honoring the intersection of sports and beauty, the 40-year-old Olympic alpine ski racer donned the bespoke hairstyle not unlike what other athletes might wear during competition.
Outside the theater, Vonn posed for pictures with her platinum blond tresses twisted in a bun on the crown of her head. The four-time World Cup champion left thin pieces of hair out in front of her ears, openly defying the laws of the contemporary slick-back hair revolution popularized on TikTok.

The effortless look was designed in collaboration with artist Frankie Foye, the hair architect who's worked with the likes of Alessandra Ambrosio, Delilah Belle and Jennifer Nettles. For her makeup, Vonn tapped Edward Cruz, the visionary behind actor and musical star Darren Criss' 2025 Tony Awards visage. Cruz also designed Vonn's makeup for the premiere of 'My Mom Jayne: A Film by Mariska Hargitay' during the Tribeca Festival last week.
Vonn's eyes were heavily lined with dark pink shadow to accentuate the pigmented blush on her cheekbones. The hard-to-miss color carried down in her waterlines, while her pursed lips were painted in a light gloss. She wore extensions on the outer edges of her eyelashes and used a medium-brown pencil to shade her eyebrows.
Styled by Kara Cook, Vonn's outfit included a brown leather jacket and a black mini skirt by Vassia Kostara Limited Collections. She wore matching fingerless gloves, cosplaying as a fashionable F1 racer who likes to wear brown pointed-toe pumps.
Elsewhere on the carpet, Pitt stepped out with his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, who also opted for a loose bun with front pieces framing her face. The jewelry designer, who has been linked to the Oscar winner since 2022, paired the popular hairstyle with a baby blue, two-piece set plucked straight from Chanel's spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection. The delicate ensemble was complemented by soft glam — a no-makeup, makeup look, if you will. Apart from a deep coral-colored matte lipstick and bronze shadow in her eyecrease, de Ramon wore minimal face makeup.
In 'F1: The Movie,' which is set to release in theaters on June 27, Pitt stars as a former Formula 1 driver, who cuts his retirement short to mentor a younger driver, played by actor Idris. Vonn came out of retirement last year after declaring the end of her career as a professional athlete in 2019.

Dog Escapes and Runs Away From Groomers—Ring Cam Captures What Happens Next

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A dog owner couldn't believe her luck after hearing the news that her canine escaped during a grooming appointment. The text on a June 19 TikTok video posted to the account @thebernntheyosh shared that the family dog, Felix, got loose while at the groomer. Many dogs become anxious while getting groomed. Perhaps they've had a traumatic experience, or the tools and blowdryer are too loud and scary for them. For this mini bernadoodle, getting home was the only thing on his mind, but he was over a mile away. That didn't matter to him. Felix sniffed his way home while his family panicked and began searching for him after hearing the dreadful news of his escape. Much to anyone's surprise, the doorbell camera captured his return, where Felix plopped down on the front porch and waited for someone to let him inside. Plus, he looked slightly out of breath from his mile-long run home. Thankfully, the mailman came shortly after and noticed the dog outside alone. After dropping off the mail, he rang the doorbell to let the family know Felix was outside. One person stayed home from the search, thinking someone would drop the dog off if found, and it proved to be a lucky call. She opened the door with a cell phone in hand. You could see relief rush over her face at the first sight of Felix. The caption on the clip reads: "So lucky this guy made it home safe. I am so proud of him for running all the way home and waiting for us outside. He is the best boy in the world." Newsweek reached out to @thebernntheyosh via TikTok for additional information and comment. Viewer Reactions The TikTok video amassed over 787,000 views and 160,200 likes as of Wednesday, with viewers flooding the comment section with impressed reactions to Felix's navigation and their thankfulness that he made his way home. "He probably thought you forgot him and he wanted to get back home to you as fast as he could," wrote one user. Another added: "Such a smart doggie!!! So cute too. What a lovely mailman." A third commented: "Omggg you guys are so lucky he made his way home!! He looks exhausted. Poor guy was stressed!" Here's Why This Coldplay Song Just Hit the Hot 100 for the First Time, 25 Years After Its Release

You can never truly predict which catalog songs are going to take off and have their viral moment. Sometimes you can point to a clear and obvious reason — a prominent synch in a film or TV show, such as Kate Bush's 'Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)' resurging after Stranger Things season four, or Nirvana's deep cut 'Something in the Way' getting its moment thanks to The Batman. Or, it's the annual resurgence of holiday staples around Christmas or Halloween. The latest case is Coldplay's 25-year-old song 'Sparks.' Originally released in 2000 on the band's debut album Parachutes, the cut enters the Hot 100 for the first time this week, debuting at No. 93 (on the chart dated June 28). The renewed interest stems from a viral breakthrough on TikTok, driven by a surge in streams following Coldplay's two-night set at Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium on June 6 and 7. The timing of the shows coincides with reports of frontman Chris Martin's reported breakup with long-time partner Dakota Johnson. In one widely shared viral TikTok when the band performed 'Sparks,' Martin appears to be visibly emotional while singing the line, 'And I know I was wrong/ But I won't let you down.' The moment stuck a chord with fans, as the song has now soundtracked more than 500,000 clips on TikTok to date. Here's a week-by-week breakdown of the song's on-demand official U.S. streams, according to Luminate: May 23-29: 3 million May 30-June 11: 3.2 million (up 5%) June 6-12: 4.8 million (up 48%) June 13-19: 5.7 million (up 18.5%) Despite never being released as a single, 'Sparks' has long endured as a fan favorite and a mainstay in the band's live setlists. It previously received a minor boost in 2005 after appearing in a scene in the movie Wedding Crashers. In 2020, Billboard's editorial staff ranked it as one of the best deep cuts from the year 2000. The Parachutes album also benefits from the renewed attention for 'Sparks.' The set re-enters this week's Billboard 200 at No. 169 with 9,000 equivalent album units earned (up 11%). The album originally peaked at No. 51 in 2001, and had last appeared on the chart in February 2016. The album's single 'Yellow' also saw some gains — it tallied 5.3 million U.S. streams in the tracking week (up 6%). That song became the band's first entry on the Hot 100 in 2001, reaching No. 48. It also became a top 10 alternative radio hit. 'Sparks' earns Coldplay its 27th career entry on the Hot 100, and first since 'We Pray,' featuring Little Simz, Burna Boy, Elyanna and Tini, in October 2024. I ignored this wedding day ‘red flag' my grandma taught me to avoid — now I'm divorced

Marriage is no piece of cake — and this not-so-sweet groom pulled a big day stunt, forewarning the bride that their union was doomed. Freshly single, a recent divorcée claims her 'narcissistic' ex-husband unveiled his 'first of many red flags' just moments after they said 'I do' by frosting her face with wedding cake, per the démodé tradition. 'My Grammy always said, if they smash the cake in your face on your wedding day, they don't respect you. And it won't last,' Stephanie, a content creator, captioned chaotic scenes from her messy matrimony. 'She was so right,' she continued, lauding her grandmother's words of wisdom. 'It was the first of many red flags l ignored.' Footage of the ill-fated fête, which has amassed over 642,000 TikTok views, shows the blushing bride turning red with shame seconds after her unnamed hubby hit her in the kisser with the confection. An admittedly 'speechless' Stephanie struggles to utter, 'I can't believe you did that,' while trying to wipe off the cream as her goofball groom chuckles, saying, 'I think it's good luck.' But no, sir. It is not. In fact, insiders for The Knot, a virtual wedding hub, says the centuries-old, controversial custom originated in ancient Rome with 'a bit of a dark [sexist]' history. 'The bride would have barely cake crumbled over their head,' according to the experts. 'This act was supposed to signify the promise of fertility and male dominance in the marriage.' And although the weird ritual has somehow managed to stand the test of time, it seems nuptials plagued by the cake-smash prank are typically short lived. A beleaguered bride angrily stormed out of her reception, when the man who'd just vowed his endless fidelity messed up her mug with a hunk of the sugary stuff — even after she begged him not to do it. 'This was supposed to be the happiest day of our lives and he embarrassed me in front of everyone for some prank that he knew I hated,' the scorned woman whined on Reddit. 'Not only that, he ruined a 500-dollar cake. He ruined my makeup, my hair and the top of my dress. The cake got all over.' A separate groom was labeled a 'jerk' by outraged online onlookers after a clip of his cake-smashing exploits went viral on X in April. 'Automatic annulment,' tweeted virtual savages, urging the bride to dump the dope. It's a power move that Stephanie, evidently, wishes she'd made following her ex's icky infraction. 'Finally, he told me to leave — that way he wouldn't look like the bad guy,' she said in the caption of the vid, revealing that her former fella ultimately pulled the plug on their marriage. 'I gladly left,' Stephanie assured. 'Then he got married 3 months after we got divorced.' 'Thank God I don't feel anything anymore — Maybe sorry for his new wife.'
