IPL 2025 Points Table, Orange Cap and Purple Cap After Delhi Capitals have returned to winning ways with the uncapped star Sameer Rizvi playing a key role in helping chase down a target of 207 runs to beat the Punjab Kings by four wickets at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday.
PBKS who had two games left in the league-stages looked to be in pole position to secure a top-two spot but now that is an uncertainty considering this loss to DC. Despite scoring well above par, the bowling unit failed to live up to expectations as they lacked the discipline with their lines and lengths and ended up conceding a crucial fixture.

Orange Cap
KL Rahul came in as an impact substitute for the Delhi Capitals and ended up scoring a quick cameo of 35 runs to take his runs tally up to 539 for the season. Meanwhile, the PBKS skipper, Shreyas Iyer, scored a valiant half-century to take his season's tally up to 488 and break into the top 10 run-scorers' list as well.
In PBKS' first-innings only Marcus Stoinis was able to put up much of a fight with the bat whilst the others crumbled after their quick scores. In addition, Sameer Rizvi showcased his class with a fighting half-century to give the win to his side.

Purple Cap
DC's Mustafizur Rahman turned up for his side as he finished as the pick of their bowlers with figures of 3/33 in his quota of four overs. He got rid of the likes of Priyansh Arya, Shashank Singh, and Marco Jansen. Since he just came into the tournament, he will not be able to break into the top-10 wicket-taking charts.
PBKS' Arshdeep Singh now sits at seventh in the race for the purple cap after going wicketless today. None of the Delhi Capitals' bowlers are in the top-10 despite their show with the ball.

IND vs ENG: Not KL Rahul! This star batter may open with Yashasvi Jaiswal in England Tour as Australian legend says...

In this collection of pictures we shall know the star batter who might open with Yashasvi Jaiswal in England Tour. Interestingly, it's not KL Rahul. Let's dive in. KL Rahul has staked his claim to be the opener in the Test series against England by scoring a century while opening the innings against England Lions. He opened the innings for India-A in the second unofficial Test match against England Lions and scored 116 runs in the first innings. However, a 23-year-old explosive batsman is also in the race to become Yashasvi Jaiswal's partner. This batsman showed with his stormy batting in the recently concluded IPL 2025 that he is adept at opening the threads of the ball. Former Australian captain and great batsman Ricky Ponting has also supported this young batsman to become Yashasvi's opening partner. The Indian cricket team will take the field in the first Test of the five-match Test series against England on June 20. This is going to be a new phase for the Indian team under the leadership of new Test captain Shubman Gill. After the retirement of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, there are going to be many big changes in the batting unit, in which many young faces will also be seen. However, after Rohit's retirement, the opening spot is a big question as to who will open with Yashasvi Jaiswal. Veteran batsman KL Rahul opened in four out of five Tests in the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, in which runs also came from his bat. In such a situation, it is being speculated that now after Rohit Sharma's retirement, the management can field him as an opener. However, former Australian captain Ricky Ponting has chosen Sai Sudharsan for this role. Ponting said that this is the right time to give this 23-year-old a chance to debut in the longest format. He believes that Rahul's experience will help the team in the middle order. Let us tell you that Sai Sudharsan has not made his Test debut for India. However, he has made his debut for India's white ball team. In IPL 2025, this explosive batsman scored a lot of runs and won the Orange Cap with 759 runs. Speaking to the Indian Express, Ponting said, "I said this because if they go with (Yashasvi) Jaiswal and if Sai Sudharsan is the second opener, then they need another experienced player at number three. So KL can be at three or Karun Nair can be at three and Shubman can be at four... once you are set in this, you can take yourself back to number three." The veteran further said, "I think it is the right time for Sudharsan to come into the team, honestly. Now there are going to be some changes in the Indian team, obviously with Rohit and Virat not being there. Every team goes through this phase... I think Sudharsan is ready."

This player got Rs 107500000 for bowling just three overs in IPL 2025, his name is.....

Lucknow Super Giants captain and wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant and Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Venkatesh Iyer are being criticized a lot. People are criticizing them fiercely during the IPL and even after this tournament, because these players got huge amounts from IPL teams, but their performance was very poor. If you look, you will forget the performance of Rishabh Pant and Venkatesh Iyer, because there is also a player who has got huge amount for bowling just a few overs. In fact, Rishabh Pant became the most expensive player of IPL, who got crores of rupees from Lucknow Super Giants. At the same time, Venkatesh Iyer was among the players sold at the highest price in the history of this league. We all saw how bad the performance of both of them was. Pant scored less runs than expected throughout the season and Venkatesh Iyer could also score very limited runs. However, there is one bowler who got crores of rupees for bowling just a few overs. Actually, this bowler is none other than T Natarajan, who was bought by Delhi Capitals in the IPL mega auction for Rs107500000, but this bowler got a chance to play in only two matches. In one of these matches, bowling was not required because the match was washed out due to rain. He got to bowl in one match, in which he bowled only a few overs out of his quota of overs and conceded a lot of runs. He did not get any wicket either. In this way, this bowler proved to be the most expensive for Delhi Capitals. T Natarajan's performance was completely opposite to expectations. The expectations with which Delhi Capitals had spent such a huge amount were not fulfilled at all, which raised questions on the team's strategy and selection process. However, the IPL rules state that the percentage of matches you play in the league phase is the percentage of money you get.
