Revanth a ‘dramebazz', says Harish; dubs his BC quota fight as flop show
Hyderabad: Senior BRS leader T Harish Rao on Wednesday said that the drama of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and his team going to Delhi in the name of 42 per cent quota for BCs has become an utter flop as even Rahul Gandhi did not come to the fake protest organized in Delhi. Harish Rao said that despite being very close to the dharna spot, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi did not come and their party's president Mallikarjuna Kharge did not come, stating that Bihar was more important to them than BCs. It has become clear that there was no honesty in Revanth Reddy's dharna and that Rahul Gandhi and Kharge, as well as the people of Telangana, do not believe in the words that 42 per cent quota for BCs will be implemented. The BRS leader said that if Revanth Reddy gives a speech saying, 'We did not ask in Gujarat, we did not ask in Uttar Pradesh, we did not ask in Maharashtra, we are asking for 42 per cent reservation for BCs in Telangana itself,' At the same time, Rahul Gandhi also tweets, 'This struggle is not only for Telangana, but for the entire country.' The words spoken by CM Revanth Reddy on the same day and at the same time were not the same as the words spoken by Rahul Gandhi. The sincerity of the Congress party on the 42 per cent reservation for BCs can be understood only by looking at the two-fourth trend. Quoting Abraham Lincoln, Rao said, 'You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.'

BC protests by Congress in Delhi a smokescreen to hide failures: BJP
Hyderabad: Telangana state BJP President N Ramchander Rao on Wednesday termed 'Delhi protests' by the Congress party as a 'drama' enacted to deceive BC community in Telangana on the issue of 42 per cent reservations. Speaking to media persons at Ramagudam, Rao said it was a 'drama' in which Rahul Gandhi is a director and participants are actors. Rao alleged that reservations for BCs would be reduced to only 32 per cent if Revanth Reddy government provides 10 per cent reservations to Muslims. He reminded that it was Congress party which has made Kamareddy BC Declaration and introduced a BC reservation bill in the assembly. Then why Congress government is not able to implement it in Telangana, he asked. 'Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was also present in the meeting of Kamareddy BC declaration. Revanth Reddy should ask his counterpart about implementation of BC reservations in Karnataka instead of going to Delhi to make a drama,' he said and accused state government of blaming Centre on the issue of BC reservations when it is not able to implement it. 'The previous YS Rajasekhara Reddy government had provided 4 per cent reservation to Muslims in education and jobs and no mention of political reservations. This 4 per cent reservation issue is also pending in the court. But Congress and BRS parties have adopted appeasement policy and provided reservation in politics. As a result, in GHMC elections, Muslims got 35 out of 50 councillor seats, depriving genuine BC leaders from contesting elections,' he added. Rao alleged that Congress party is not sincere in implementing of 42 per cent reservations to BCs and was levelling baseless allegations against Modi government to cover up its failures.

BJP terms Revanth's BC dharna as ‘political stunt'
Hyderabad: The Telangana BJP on Wednesday termed Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's so-called 'BCs Dharna' in Delhi a political stunt that failed to garner either public support or the backing of Congress' top leadership. Notably, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi gave the event a miss, raising serious questions about the sincerity of the party's commitment to Backward Classes. BJP State Chief Spokesperson and Media In-Charge N.V. Subash questioned the political relevance of the dharna when even the Congress high command chose to stay away. 'Despite the Telangana CM, his deputy, and state Congress president ferrying supporters to Delhi in a special train, it ended up being a damp squib,' he said. According to reports, only a handful of Congress leaders, including Gaurav Gogoi and Digvijay Singh, attended the protest. Subash alleged that the real motive behind the demand for 42% reservation for BCs was to eventually carve out a 10% share for minority Muslims, betraying the trust of the state's BC population. He further slammed the Congress for its historical apathy towards BC welfare, reminding the public of how the Congress sidelined the Mandal Commission report during its regime at the Centre. 'If Revanth Reddy is truly concerned about BC empowerment, why didn't he appoint more BC leaders in his Cabinet or offer the Chief Minister's post to a BC leader?' he questioned. The BJP leader also accused Revanth Reddy of indulging in petty politics by attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi's BC credentials. 'He has reduced himself to the level of Congress leaders who thrive on lies and misinformation,' Subash said. Reiterating the BJP's commitment to social justice, Subash said that unlike Congress, the BJP has consistently empowered BCs, OBCs, SCs, and STs — both at the Centre and in BJP-ruled states — with several BC leaders elevated to the post of Chief Minister and Union Ministers.
