CTE, caused by repeated head trauma, has plagued countless former NFL players. It can lead to cognitive decline, depression, mood swings, and aggression — all of which can strain even the strongest of relationships. Allen's history of hard hits, including one notably violent tackle in October 2024, raises concerns about his long-term health. For Steinfeld, marrying an NFL star comes with a future that may involve the emotional and mental burden of supporting a partner potentially affected by a degenerative condition.
