Give your kids an immersive dino experience as Jurassic Earth comes to Scotland
As Glasgow continues to embrace dinosaur fever this summer, a prehistoric spectacle is gearing up to storm into Braehead Arena for the September weekend, promising a jaw-dropping experience for families.
The hit show Jurassic Earth is set to take over the arena on Friday, September 27, bringing lifelike animatronic dinosaurs to the stage for a thrilling 75-minute interactive adventure, Glasgow Live reports.
Two performances will take place on the day, at 12 noon and 3pm, with tickets now available through the Braehead Arena website.
Featuring an extraordinary cast of creatures, the show includes a 22-foot-long, 14-foot-tall walking Tyrannosaurus Rex, reportedly the largest in the world, alongside an 18-foot triceratops, a towering 26-foot brontosaurus, and a range of other species.
Dinosaur fans can also expect to meet characters like Spencer and Stevo the spinosaurs, Rocky and Richie the velociraptors, Dash the carnotaurus, Tank the triceratops and a host of baby dinosaurs.
The show promises up-close encounters, audience participation, songs, dances and even dinosaur ranger training for the younger crowd.
Russ Smith, CEO of Braehead Arena, said the upcoming event is a perfect fit for the venue's future vision.
'We have big plans here at Braehead Arena so what better way to kick them off than with the biggest show of all – literally,' he said.
'These dinosaurs are incredible, I saw the show with my kids and they loved it so it was something I definitely wanted to bring to the arena.
'Apparently space is sometimes an issue for the larger dinos so this is the perfect venue – we certainly don't have any concerns on that front so let's go BIG.
'We want to be everything to everyone here at Braehead Arena, so this amazing modern marvel of a show is perfect for us… you'll have a roaring good time.'
At the centre of the action is Ranger Danger, the audience's guide through the experience. Children will take part in a special training session to prepare them in case of an unexpected dinosaur escape, all part of the immersive fun.

The show has toured successfully across the UK, selling out venues with its high-energy performances that aim to educate and entertain. It's been billed as the 'original dinosaur show' and is recommended for families with children of all ages, and even parents looking to get in on the action.
Organisers say the event offers a great way to 'keep the kids occupied and burn off a LOT of energy to make the September bank holiday fun for parents too'.
Jurassic Earth adds to the wave of dinosaur-themed events sweeping Glasgow this summer, following on from the popular Lost Kingdom trail and exhibitions throughout the city.

Russell Grant's horoscopes as Libra deal with a tense relationship
Today's daily horoscopes for each star sign can be found below. These daily forecasts have been compiled by astrologer Russell Grant who has been reading star signs for more than 50 years. Aries (Mar 21 - Apr 20) Someone will question your values but this isn't necessarily negative. If your beliefs have a strong foundation, differing viewpoints won't intimidate you. However, if your current perspective is causing you some confusion, it might be time to reconsider it. Taurus (Apr 21 - May 21) Job and other responsibilities demand a lot of your time. You are committed to finishing specific tasks within the set deadlines and budget. You are making a good impression on people who can help you achieve your goals. It will be a relief to finally finish one particular project. Gemini (May 22 - June 21) You will be constantly active, handling tasks and connecting with others. This level of engagement and activity can spark creativity. So, if you have a brilliant idea while rushing to pick up the kids from school or joining a conference call, make sure to jot it down right away. Cancer (June 22 - July 23) Your sensitive personality has advantages and disadvantages. Your friends appreciate the way you can sense their needs and they trust you for support. However, some people have become very demanding, making it hard to meet their expectations. It's important to prioritise your own well-being. Leo (July 24 - Aug 23) Business and financial discussions are likely to yield positive results. You might invest in a new computer or other advanced technology that makes it easier for you to meet your responsibilities. Organising a gathering for a celebration will be easier than expected. By the end of the day, you will be reflecting on your long-term goals. Virgo (Aug 24 - Sept 23) You feel a rising sense of restlessness and a desire to escape. Before you can even consider a break, you must first meet some tight deadlines. Existing long-term plans will provide the motivation you need to push your way through. You can accomplish a great deal by working quietly in the background. Libra (Sept 24 - Oct 23) Tension is inevitable in close relationships and this will manifest in various ways. You and a partner or family member are arguing over trivialities. It's important to manage shared finances and belongings carefully, ensuring your partner does the same. If you lend out something valuable, you might never see it again. Scorpio (Oct 24 - Nov 22) If you have concerns about a joint arrangement, you need to be upfront about it. It's unfair to leave someone who relies on your support with false expectations. You finally receive some delayed updates. Someone will suggest they've been attempting to contact you for a while but you might question the extent of their efforts. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Sagittarius (Nov 23 - Dec 21) Acting impulsively without considering the outcome will make your efforts pointless. To achieve a personal goal, you need to be focused, determined, and disciplined. A careless decision will only pave the way for failure. Get rid of distractions and avoid listening to the gossips. Capricorn (Dec 22 - Jan 20) Taking on a career challenge will give you an advantage over your competitors. You will be asked to lead a team event or activity. Stick strictly to the guidelines and do not make exceptions for anyone. If you offer special privileges now, it will set a precedent that others will come to expect. Aquarius (Jan 21 - Feb 19) Concentrate on what you are doing when tackling something unfamiliar. It won't be long before you establish new routines and once you adapt to these, you will manage new tasks with hardly any effort at all. You have every reason to feel optimistic about your activities and the progress you are making. Pisces (Feb 20 - Mar 20) Get in touch with someone who is on your mind. Even if you lost touch with them a while ago, it won't take a lot of effort to get their number. Make an effort to get to know a new neighbour. Despite their different communication style and behaviour, you will value their beliefs and perspectives.

Robert is close to exposing killer John in Emmerdale – but a twist follows
Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) has had John Sugden's (Oliver Farnworth) card marked since he met him in Emmerdale. Robert has had his suspicions ever since he gate-crashed John and Aaron's (Danny Miller) wedding. Then he began to sense something amiss over Nate's death and he is now perilously close to uncovering the truth. The last time someone came close to outing John, they ended up in a coma. John is out to protect himself as investigations into Nate's murder get a little too close to home. He chose to frame Owen, the man who drugged Robert, telling others that Owen had confessed during a medical appointment with him. The next thing anyone knew, Owen turned up dead with a suicide note confessing to Nate's murder. While the village was awash with shock and John was confident that he had neatly tied things up with a bow, Robert's internal alarm system was going berserk. He arranged to meet with Owen's brother Steve who gave him a crucial bit of information – Owen had a solid alibi for the time of Nate's murder. Robert is on to John in a big way and is going full throttle in bringing John down. As Robert starts to scrutinise John, his next suspicion lands on the fact John has seemingly saved so many lives. He starts to probe how John saved Jacob's life, but Jacob rushes off mid-conversation. Pollard (Chris Chittell) fills in a few blanks for him, including just how many other lives John has saved – too many to be in the right place at the right time. Robert remains steadfast inn his mission and when he airs his opinion against John to Chas (Lucy Pargeter), he's not bothered that she won't hear a word said against him. Then the next opportunity to investigate falls into Robert's lap – John leaves his phone on the table. Robert grabs the phone and tries to unlock it, but despite having no luck getting in, he still strikes gold – as he hands the phone back to John he implies he's seen something, and he can see John is shaken. Scandal confirmed as major Coronation Street legend cheats on husband
The Coronation Street air has been seething with unresolved sexual tension ever since Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) arrived in Weatherfield and set eyes on his sister-in-law Abi Webster (Sally Carman). And it looks like they're finally about to give in to their feelings in episodes airing soon. When Abi realised that the handsome man she'd been flirting with in Freshco's car park was actually Kevin (Michael Le Vell)'s brother, it obviously came as a shock. Over the months as they've got to know each other, the attraction between them hasn't died down, although Abi has insisted that it's a love that can never be, because of her loving Kevin and him having cancer. Recently Kevin has discovered two things. One is that his wife and his brother seem to either be having an affair or are on the verge of it. The other is that he doesn't have cancer any more as his treatment has been successful. However, he's pretending that he still does have cancer in the hope that this will make Abi think twice about leaving him – and so far that's working. It's a complex situation, and Carl is dealing with complexities of his own as he owes a lot of money and has been using Kev's garage as a venue for doing up stolen cars as a side-hustle to try and make some money. These situations all come together in an upcoming episode when Kevin overhears Carl talking to his accomplice Fiona about a flash car he's working on and how, if she steals it, they can split the profit. Kevin attempts to pursue Fiona as she drives off in the car and soon collapses, unwell. Glenda (Jodie Prenger) takes him to the hospital and soon Carl turns up. Kevin reveals that he knows that Carl has been up to something dodgy with Fiona. Carl turns the tables by telling his brother that he's been chatting to the medical staff and he knows that Kevin is now cancer-free. When Abi hears what Carl has been up to she has a go at him for the trouble he's caused. He resists the urge to tell her that Kevin is deceiving her about still having cancer. She does find out, however – from Tyrone (Alan Halsall). She's worrying about how to tell Jack (Kyran Bowes) that Kevin's cancer hasn't responded to treatment and Tyrone knows he can't let her do that and breaks it to her that Kevin has been lying about his health since receiving the all-clear. Abi's obviously furious and upset and confronts Kevin. He explains that he only told the lie to try and stop her from leaving him and going off with Carl, but Abi refuses to listen to his excuses and heads out.
