Cowboys' Dak Prescott Predicted To Be Top-10 QB In NFL's Top 100 Players
Cowboys' Dak Prescott Predicted To Be Top-10 QB In NFL's Top 100 Players originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott divides opinion, unlike any other player in football, as his regular-season play does not consistently translate to the playoffs.

However, while many criticize Dak for his playoff failures (2-5), that is fair play. Overall, the general consensus is that he is a top-10-ish quarterback when at his best.
Let's not forget that he finished second in MVP voting in 2023, before last year's "blow it up" season began. However, for some, it seems like it's only downhill for Dak, who will be 32 years old when the season starts.
Still, Prescott, as he enters 2025, hasn't lost all fans, with CBS Sports' Pete Prisco naming his top 100 NFL players, and he has Dak at No. 90, down from 49 last year.
"A year after leading the league with 36 touchdown passes, Prescott was limited to eight games because of injury," Prisco writes. "Even before the injury, he wasn't as sharp as the year before with just 11 touchdown passes and eight picks. But I think he's closer to the 2023 Prescott again."

Dak as a top 100 player isn't exactly newsworthy, but there is a little nugget of information in this list that will make the Prescott haters a little agitated.
For some, Dak isn't a top-10 or even top-15 quarterback in football despite his regular-season numbers, but a glance at Prisco's top 100 list shows that there are only 11 quarterbacks on the list.
And Prescott is No. 10, above Jordan Love.
So even after a poor season, which was then ended due to injury, Prescott, at least in Prisco's eyes, is still a top-10 quarterback entering the 2025 season.
Yes, we get it, the list is subjective, but this will likely give the haters more ammunition to go after Prescott.
Not that he cares.

Yohel Pozo has RBI single in the 11th to give the Cardinals a 6-5 victory over the Reds
ST. LOUIS (AP) — Yohel Pozo had a two-out RBI single in the 11th inning to give the St. Louis Cardinals a 6-5 comeback victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday. The Cardinals overcame a 5-2 deficit, tying it in the ninth on Nolan Arenado's leadoff homer off Emilio Pagán. Alec Burleson had a two-run homer and an RBI single for St. Louis. Phil Maton (1-2), the Cardinals' sixth pitcher, threw one inning for the victory. Rookie Chase Petty (0-3), the eighth Reds pitcher, gave up the deciding hit to Pozo. Reds star Elly De La Cruz, who overcame getting sick on the field in the fourth inning, hit a changeup 435 feet to center in the seventh for his team-leading 17th homer and a 5-2 lead. With two outs in the fourth, the game was halted after De La Cruz — who also had a triple — vomited. After the trainer came out, De La Cruz remained in the game. Two ground crew members cleaned up the spot at shortstop. Matt McClain had three hits for the Reds. Key moment In the second inning, De La Cruz tripled when the ball eluded center fielder Victor Scott II. The relay throw bounced by Arenado. Pitcher Sonny Gray was backing up the play and De La Cruz took off for home. A fastball from Gray easily nabbed the sliding De La Cruz. Key stat The Cardinals are 6-2 in extra innings. The Reds are 1-6. Up next Cardinals RHP Miles Mikolas (4-4, 4.35) was set to face LHP Andrew Abbott (6-1, 1.84) on Sunday in the series finale. ___ AP MLB:

Bill Simmons Names His Sleeper Pick Ahead of 2025 NBA Draft
Bill Simmons Names His Sleeper Pick Ahead of 2025 NBA Draft originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Bill Simmons briefly discussed the 2025 NBA draft on the latest episode of The Bill Simmons Podcast, giving some praise to Gonzaga guard and projected late second round pick Ryan Nembhard. Advertisement After acknowledging he and his co-host, Ryen Russillo, were bypassing the NBA draft talk they had prepared to instead talk about the Finals, Simmons shared "this little tidbit". "Nembhard's little brother, who's like a late second rounder, I bought some stock," Simmons said. "Ryan Nembhard at Gonzaga averaged almost 10 assists per game last year. I watched him too, I like him." "You're already doing second rounders?" Russillo quipped, before Simmons said, "I have my sleeper." Nembhard averaged 9.8 assists with the Zags last year, shattering the school and WCC record in a single season. His 344 dimes is in fact fifth all-time in recorded college hoops history and the second highest since 1990 - trailing only Kendall Marshall's 351 for North Carolina in 2011-12. Advertisement He also shot a career-high 40.4% from the three point line, and proved his shooting was no joke with a lights out performance in the drills at the NBA draft combine about a month ago. The 5'11 guard whose brother, Andrew, is currently playing in the NBA Finals with the Indiana Pacers, has worked out with a handful of NBA teams including Atlanta, Golden State, and Toronto, who all have picks in the second round. Nembhard was recently mocked No. 58 overall to Cleveland in an ESPN article, while some have him in the 40's and still others have him out of the draft entirely. That was the extent of the NBA draft talk on the nearly two hour episode, but a shoutout from Simmons certainly won't hurt Nembhard's chances of getting picked, especially this close to the draft.
