Arsenal XI vs Barcelona: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup, injury latest for Women's Champions League final
The first of which is who gets the nod in between the posts. Daphne van Domselaar returned from injury for the semi-final second leg victory against Lyon but hasn't featured since because of a niggling ankle issue.
Van Domselaar has trained this week in a bid to prove her fitness ahead of the final and is expected to start, though Manuela Zinsberger is on standby to deputise once again, though she has conceded 12 goals in her last three appearances.
Slegers confirmed ahead of the match that her squad has close to a perfect bill of health, saying: 'We have a great squad and a lot of players available. The only player not available tomorrow is Rosa Kafaji.'
Chloe Kelly and Beth Mead are battling for a spot on the right-hand side of the attack. The pair have often rotated in this competition and that logic suggests the latter will be picked after Kelly started the second leg win over Lyon.
The rest of Sleger's XI is fairly easy to predict. Women's Super League Player of the Year Mariona Caldentey is set to start in midfield against her former club, Leah Williamson lines up in defence, Alessia Russo leads the line and Kim Little captains the side.
Predicted Arsenal XI: Van Domselaar; Fox, Williamson, Catley, McCabe; Maanum, Little, Mariona; Mead, Russo, Foord
Injured: Rosa Kafaji

Arsenal 26yo suffers knee injury
Kai Havertz has suffered a knee injury, with Arsenal actively exploring the market for a signing to provide cover for the forward. Photo via Arsenal on Twitter David Ornstein reports for The Athletic that Kai Havertz is set for a spell on the sidelines with a knee injury, with the current prognosis and duration of a potential lay-off unclear. Assessments are still at an early stage, but Ornstein adds that Arsenal are now actively exploring the transfer market for potential reinforcements. For the time being, Mikel Arteta will be relying on Leandro Trossard and Mikel Merino as his alternatives to Viktor Gyokeres, perhaps adding another justification to reports in the last 24 hours that Trossard has finally agreed a new deal with the club. Photo byArsenal wouldn't necessarily need to sign a striker to cover for Havertz. As mentioned, the Gunners have Gyokeres, Trossard, and Merino as options, with Gabriel Jesus to return later this year. But if Havertz is out for an extended period, and Trossard moves to a more central position, that would then leave the Gunners light on the wings. Trossard's versatility gives Arsenal some flexibility. If they can sign a striker, Trossard can play wide, if they can sign a winger, Trossard can play centrally. Photo via On a personal level, Havertz's new injury is certainly a blow. After working hard to recover from his three-month hamstring setback last season, he only managed three competitive appearances as a substitute before this new injury. The striker played a significant role in pre-season, but he'll be frustrated he can't now contribute when it really counts.

Arsenal ‘set to enter transfer market' after injury that could derail Liverpool challenge
Arsenal is facing an anxious wait to discover the extent of a knee injury suffered by Kai Havertz, with the Gunners considering signing a new player as cover. Havertz came on as a second-half substitute against Manchester United on Sunday, but he has since sustained a knee problem and did not take part in an open training session on Wednesday. The Athletic reports that assessments are at an early stage, with the anticipated lay-off time still unclear. It is a cruel blow for Havertz, who was sidelined for over three months between February and May last season with a hamstring injury. READ MORE: Alexander Isak could use little-known FIFA rule to force Newcastle transfer exit READ MORE: Bruno Guimaraes posts cryptic Instagram story minutes after bombsell Alexander Isak update Havertz's injury leaves new signing Viktor Gyokeres as the only striker currently available to Mikel Arteta. Leandro Trossard does have experience playing centrally but that is not where is at his most effective. Spanish midfielder Mikel Merino was also used as a striker toward the end of last season, while Havertz and Gabriel Jesus were sidelined through injury. Merino acquitting himself well, scoring against PSV Eindhoven, Real Madrid, Leicester, Chelsea and Fulham while playing up front, but while the transfer window remains open, it would make sense for the Gunners to recruit a more conventional forward to deputize for Havertz. Brazil international Jesus remains unavailable with a serious knee injury that he sustained during an FA Cup game against Manchester United in January, and he is not expected to return any time soon.

Kai Havertz injury — Arsenal lose German for undisclosed period, seek forward in transfer market
Arsenal is back into the transfer market for forward help after versatile German striker Kai Havertz suffered a knee injury, according to David Ornstein. The injury to Havertz, 26, leaves the Gunners with just one healthy center forward — new signing Viktor Gyokeres — as Gabriel Jesus has yet to return from last season's ACL injury. Havertz did not train on Wednesday and Ornstein said there's no set duration for the player's absence. Failing to account for Havertz's midseason injury last season is seen by many as a big reason for their stumble in the Premier League title race. Havertz scored nine times with three assists in 23 appearances last season and made 30 starts in each of his the previous two Premier League seasons. Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta had planned to use Havertz as a second striker but has also deployed the valuable German in the midfield and as a winger. Kai Havertz injury — Who could the Gunners sign in transfer market? The length of absence will dictate the investment required to deputize for Havertz, of course, and a lot of center forwards have already moved in the market. Could Yoane Wissa be an option? Brentford are asking $80 million for the 28-year-old scorer, and Wissa is has been sitting out from Bees camp as Newcastle have not raised their bid from $54 million. The Gunners have made moves with Chelsea in the past, and the Blues are reportedly looking to offload Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku, while Manchester United hope to sell Rasmus Hojlund. But would Arsenal be desperate enough to help their Big Six rivals out of jams? As for further long shots, Ollie Watkins is known as a long-time Arsenal fan, but would surely be looking for a more crucial role in an attack than Gyokeres' No. 2. Adding Alexander Isak would be bonkers given the outlay for Gyokeres as a clear No. 1 striker, but we suppose there's a non-zero chance the Gunners could approach Newcastle. More to come...
