The best new products from March (so far): Shop Apple, Dyson, Therabody and more
This story is part of NBC Select's New & Notable column, where we highlight our favorite product launches. We'll continuously update this article throughout the month with new releases you should know about.
Footwear launches
Brooks Glycerin 22 SE
If you like wearing Brooks' sneakers as lifestyle shoes rather than running shoes, make room in your closet — the brand just dropped a special-edition pair of its Glycerin 22 sneakers with a pull-on, laceless design. They're easy to take on and off, and since they look less athletic than a typical Glycerin sneaker, they're more versatile in terms of what outfit you pair them with. The Glycerin 22 SE has plush nitrogen-infused foam, and there's more cushioning in the heel than the toe to soften your landings while walking. Its stretchy, flat knit upper is also slightly compressive to hold your foot in place.
Saucony Matrix
Saucony first launched its Matrix sneaker in 1999, and 25 years later, the brand is adding it back to its main shoe collection. It was originally designed by Brian Moore, who's currently Saucony's Chief Product Officer. He updated the Matrix for the 2025 re-launch by keeping the shoe's original colors, materials and silhouette, while adding new personal touches, including his wife's name in Mandarin characters on the back. The Matrix has reflective piping, breathable mesh uppers and a chunky outsole.
Staple x Brooks Adrenaline GTS 4
For the first time, Brooks re-released one of its oldest sneakers, the Adrenaline GTS 4, in collaboration with Jeff Staple, a New York-based streetwear designer. The shoe originally debuted in 2002, and together, Brooks and Staple revamped it to have the same classic look with new colors and details that are reminiscent of 2000s running culture. It's designed as a lifestyle shoe rather than a workout shoe, so don't expect to wear it during marathon training.
Tech launches
The MacBook Air is one of the best laptops you can buy, and this latest version starts at $999 — that's $100 less than last year's model. On the outside, it looks very familiar, but the inside has Apple's latest M4 chip, which should lead to improved all-around performance. The laptop also has a new webcam that can automatically keep you centered in the frame during video calls. It comes in four colors and two sizes: 13-inches (linked above) and 15-inches, which start at $999 and $1,199 respectively.
Apple iPad Air (M3)
The iPad Air sits in the middle of Apple's tablet lineup: it's faster and more capable than the brand's entry-level iPad (A16), but not nearly as pricey as the iPad Pro (M4). This latest iPad Air (M3) version looks identical to last year's model, but has a new M3 chip inside that should deliver slightly faster overall performance. It comes in four colors and two sizes: 11-inches and 13-inches.
You can pair it with the newly launched Apple Magic Keyboard attachment (sold separately), which now has function keys, and a larger trackpad at the bottom of the keyboard.
Apple Mac Studio (M4 Max)
Apple also launched new versions of its Mac Studio desktop computer: the Mac Studio (M4 Max) (linked above) and Mac Studio (M3 Ultra). These are powerful computers best suited for creative professionals with technically demanding workflows like composers, movie editors, 3D modelers or AI programmers, for example. Both new versions have more powerful processors than previous models and have built-in faster Thunderbolt 5 ports for quicker data transfer.
Beauty and wellness launches
Therabody Theragun Mini (3rd Generation)
The Theragun Mini is an NBC Select Wellness Award winner and our favorite massage gun for travel for a reason — it's smaller and more portable than most options on the market. This third generation version is even smaller than before, and now has a travel lock function that, when you turn it on, prevents the massager from accidentally turning on in your bag or suitcase, according to Therabody. Like the previous version, it comes with three ball head attachments and a soft case.
Therabody ThermaBack LED
This back wrap is meant to reduce back pain through different built-in treatment options. It has red light therapy, heat therapy and vibration therapy modes you can customize using buttons on the device or the Therabody app. The band is one size fits all — it's made with elastic compression straps and adjustable Velcro. The ThermaBack gets up to 180 minutes of run time on a single charge, though you can also use it while it's plugged in.
Glossier Milky Jelly Cleansing Balm
Glossier's Milk Jelly collection expanded with the launch of the brand's first cleansing balm. Using botanical oils, sugar-based cleansing agents and glycerin, this gel-balm is designed to remove makeup, sunscreen and grime from the face without stripping or drying out the skin, according to Glossier. You can massage it into your skin and rinse it clean immediately or use it as a moisturizing face mask by leaving it on for three to five minutes before rinsing off.
Suitable for all skin types, this serum helps strengthen the skin barrier, improve dullness and reduce the appearance of dark spots, hyperpigmentation and acne scars, according to the brand. It does so by using brightening and hydrating ingredients like vitamin C, tranexamic acid, squalane and niacinamide, all of which are ingredients dermatologists have recommended to me in my past reporting about how to target discoloration.
Dyson Supersonic r Professional Hair Dryer
Dyson's Supersonic r, originally created for professional and salon use only, is now available to the masses. It's the brand's smallest, most lightweight and most expensive hair tool yet. The hair dryer has an 'r' shape, which allows it to help quickly dry hair and comes with new technology to maximize its airflow and temperature, according to the brand. In addition to the dryer, you'll get five attachments, which have sensors in them that adjust their motor and heat settings to optimize the attachment's performance and prevent heat damage, according to Dyson.
Fur Chafe Cushion
This velvet-like stick helps prevent chafing by creating a protective barrier on the skin, soothing it and relieving any irritation from previous chafing. All you have to do is swipe the anti-chafe stick on any of your problem areas to target these concerns. Its formula has niacinamide, shea butter and a slew of other slippery, hydrating ingredients that will help keep the skin soft and moisturized without leaving a residue, according to the brand.
'Skinfix's Barrier+ moisturizers are some of my favorites,' says NBC Select associate reporter Bianca Alvarez. This new addition is especially great for those with oily, acne-prone and combination skin because it's lightweight and noncomedogenic. The cream, which is water based, is also great for these skin types because it helps reduce excess oil, redness and the appearance of pores, according to the brand.
This leave-in treatment takes a two-pronged approach to your hair: it's designed to improve its look by reducing frizz and adding shine and also repair it by minimizing split ends and breakage, according to the brand. To achieve these results, apply it to towel-dried hair and distribute it evenly by brushing it before allowing it to air dry.
The AirLight Pro, the first hair dryer from L'Oreal Professionnel, debuted at the end of 2024 and hasinfrared-light technology that helps leave the hair smoother and more hydrated, according to the brand. You can alternate between its two attachments (a diffuser and concentrator), and you can customize its settings on the tool itself or through its companion app.
Kitchen launches
Nutribullet's latest appliance comes with interchangeable attachments that let you use it as a personal blender, food processor and coffee/spice grinder. Each attachment is compatible with the included motor base, which activates when you add an attachment. You can run 30-second auto-cycles or use the pulse function whether you're using the system to make a smoothie, chop onions or grind coffee beans. The machine comes in finishes like gunmetal, stainless steel, satin black, brass and pearl white.
Our Place Titanium Pro Collection
Our Place introduced its Titanium Always Pan Pro last year, and now, the brand is bringing the same durable, nonstick, toxin-free material to other cookware. You can officially buy the Titanium Perfect Pot Pro in mini and standard sizes, and the Titanium Always Pan Pro in mini and large sizes (in addition to the already released standard size). All titanium cookware is stovetop-, oven- and dishwasher-safe, has 360-degree sealed rims with pour spouts and comes with built-in utensil rests. Metal and silicone utensils are included with your purchase.
Balmuda MoonKettle
Balmuda's electric MoonKettle is a modernized version of the kettles people used centuries ago in China and Japan, according to the brand. It comes with a plug-in base that has a LED screen, and you can adjust the water's temperature from between 122 to 212 degrees Fahrenheit using the built-in buttons. The kettle, which has a fixed handle, retains heat from up to 30 minutes, according to Balmuda. It has a 0.9-liter capacity, which is enough water to make about five to six cups of coffee.
Gonzey Tread
The Tread is Gonzey's first plug-in portable pizza oven, which you can set up in a backyard or at a campsite, tailgate or beach. It has a gas burner and dial controls, and it can reach up to 950 degrees Fahrenheit in about 15 minutes, according to the brand. The lightweight oven has carry handles on the sides to help you move it around. Beyond using it to make pizza, you can cook meat, fish and vegetables as well. Gonzey launched a handful of Tread accessories (sold separately), like a carry bag, stand and roof rack that you can connect to the top of the oven and use as a prep station or mini table.
Home launches
Shark TurboBlade
Shark designed this quiet, oscillating, bladeless fan to eliminate the need for multiple cooling appliances in one room. You can pivot its head and twist its vents to point air in up to two directions at a time. It also has a telescoping pole, letting you adjust the fan's height depending on how you're using it. There's 10 airflow speeds and multiple modes to choose from, including sleep mode. The fan has a removable filter that traps dust particles, which you can easily wipe clean.
Tushy Cloud and Cloud+ E-Bidets
Tushy expanded its line of bidet toilet seats with two new models: the Cloud and the Cloud+. They both instantly heat water and have a nightlight, air dryer, heated seat and UV nozzle serialization system. But with the Cloud+, you get additional benefits, like a remote control (instead of using the Cloud's side control panel, which is attached to the toilet seat) and a built-in deodorizer that pulls air through a carbon filter while you're sitting. The bidet only fits elongated toilet bowls and comes with all the materials you need for installation, including tank adapters, hoses and hardware like bolts and washers.
Parachute Organic Plush Bath Collection
This is the brand's softest, fluffiest, most absorbent towel material yet, according to Parachute. It's made from 100% organic Turkish Aegean long-staple cotton, giving it a luxurious, lofty texture. You can buy bath mats, washcloths, hand towels, bath towels and bath sheets made from the material in a slew of neutral colors.
Travel launches
Yeti Ranchero Backpack
Yeti's newest water- and abrasion-resistant backpack is excellent for short trips and commutes because of its many internal and external pockets and additional straps. It also has a back panel and cushioned shoulder straps that work to alleviate neck and shoulder discomfort by evenly distributing weight and giving you stability. If you don't feel like carrying it, you can place it on the ground without worrying about it tipping over or attaching it to your carry-on.
'I took this on a recent weekend trip, and I was shocked with how much I fit in it,' says Alvarez, who got a courtesy sample from the brand. 'I stuffed it with enough shoes, clothes and toiletries for four days and still had room for more. But my favorite thing is that it could unzip fully, so I could easily access and see where everything was, which was especially helpful when I was on the train and bus.'
Quince Aluminum Carry-On Suitcase
Quince recently released its first aluminum carry-on, a lightweight and durable addition to its growing luggage collection. Its interior is large enough to hold five to seven outfits and has a removable laundry bag, compression panel and organizational compartments. The outside has a TSA-approved combination lock, leather luggage tag, a soft rubber handle and 360-degree wheels that make it easy and comfortable to hold and move the suitcase, according to the brand.

Job losses as Dundee games company liquidated
One of Dundee's first phone games specialists Cobra Mobile has been liquidated. The firm faced a number of extreme difficulties in the run-up to its collapse, including partner companies going bust and the death of chairman Peter Mackintosh last year. A total of eight staff have been made redundant as a result. Cobra Mobile are regarded as pioneers of the mobile games industry in the city, being one of the first to recognise the markets' potential ahead of the ubiquity of smartphones. It was founded in 2005 by Mark Ettle, and produced games sold in their millions globally including Storm In A Teacup and iBomber. As well as selling on Apple's App Store and Google's Play Store, Cobra Mobile also made games for platforms like Steam and Nintendo. Mark told The Courier a series of bad outcomes had contributed to Cobra Mobile's liquidation. He said: 'It has been a really sad combination of events. There is the recent sudden death of our chairman Peter Mackintosh. 'We have had clients go bankrupt on us during projects, leaving us hugely in debt. 'There has been a downturn in the sector, which has made it harder for us to operate moving forward with the roadmap we wanted to follow. 'This has all hit us at the same time. 'It is really sad, but it has been a fun ride too for the last 20 years.' Cobra Mobile won numerous accolades, including a European Gams Award and were nominated for multiple BAFTAs. An in 2008 the company greeted the arrival of the iPhone and the App Store, having switched their focus from developing for Java based mobile phones. 'We have made a tonne of great games,' Mark added. 'And we've won lots of awards and been nominated for loads more. We had business commendations for the way we operated and worked. 'But there are things in business you simply don't control and events you cannot foresee. 'And there is a downturn in the industry right now. This is not an isolated event. 'We had one thing on top of another — a cascading waterfall of bad outcomes.' Steven Wright of Glasgow company Dains Accountants has been appointed as the interim liquidator of Cobra Mobile. The company's eight employees will be helped through the redundancy process, a spokesperson for Dains said.

I went to Apple iPhone event today and I'm obsessed with 6 new tricks – ‘hold robot' for phone calls is best of the lot
A FLURRY of new features are about to appear on the Apple gadgets you already own. I sat for two hours as Apple doled out smartphone freebies on stage at its WWDC event in California – and there are six you'll want to look out for. iPhone owners, buckle up. 12 NEW APPLE TRICK #1 – TEXT QUESTION PLEASE? The Messages app is getting three upgrades – and they're very handy. Apple is finally adding the ability to create and send polls to pals. You'll be able to quiz them on a restaurant or holiday destination – or vote on who should win Strictly. It's a feature that WhatsApp added back in 2023, and is very popular. Now you can do it in Messages too. Another added bonus for Messages users is the option to add custom backgrounds to each of your chats. They'll sync with the contact too, so you both see the same wallpaper. Fun. Third, you get the ability to screen messages from unknown senders. "In Messages, users can now screen messages from unknown senders, giving them more control over who appears in their conversation list," Apple explained. "Messages from unknown senders will appear in a dedicated folder where users can then mark the number as known, ask for more information, or delete. iPhone 16e review – I've secretly tested Apple's cheapest mobile and I love the new button but that's not the best bit "These messages will remain silenced until a user accepts them." NEW APPLE TRICK #2 – GAME DAY All the signs are there: Apple is getting very serious about gaming. The company has shown early signs of wanting to boost its gaming offering with its increasingly powerful Mac chips. And just a few years ago, Apple Arcade launched – serving up a subscription-only library of premium mobile games. Now Apple has taken it one step further with a brand new and dedicated Games app. This is a bit like the App Store but just for games (finally!), and also lets you locate Apple Arcade titles too. There are ways to play with and challenge pals. And it's a good sign of things to come: your iPhone is immensely powerful, and has a lot of potential as a gaming device. 12 Watch out, Nintendo. NEW APPLE TRICK #3 – ALL SMILES Emoji are effectively the world's shared language. Almost all of us use them – and we all know what they mean. Last year, Apple created an AI feature called Genmoji to let you dream up your own custom emoji. But that wasn't enough for the fiendish emoji lovers out there. So now Apple has added the ability for users to mash up two emoji together. Think 'smiling football' or 'zebra cat'. The possibilities are endless. NEW APPLE TRICK #4 – AIR WE GO! By far and away my favourite trick of the lot is a new perk for holidaymakers – though it's handy at home too. There's a new feature that translates foreign languages in real-time. So you can have a conversation with someone who doesn't speak English, and understand every word they say. This is a game-changer for any of you that have been abroad in a country where you're not fluent in the native tongue. Live Translation should make it much easier to order in restaurants, find your way around when you're lost, and potentially avoid being scammed too. NEW APPLE TRICK #5 – HOLD ON A MINUTE Another brainy new trick is Hold Assist. 12 This is effectively a robot that holds on a phone call so you don't have to. It'll wait for a human to pick up, and then alert you when the conversation is ready. That way, you don't have to spend hours in call centre misery, listening to those awful tunes for a problem that might take just seconds to solve. NEW APPLE TRICK #6 – HUNG UP! Another clever spam-prevention feature is Call Screening. This is similar to Apple's Live Voicemail feature that lets you read a transcription of voicemails in real-time. Now Apple will gather info from callers, and then share that detail with you. So your iPhone can ask the caller for their name and why they're calling – and then tell you the answer that they give. Then you can decide if you want to pick up the call or totally ignore it. CUT OFF! Sadly, not everyone will be able to claim this bonanza of tech tricks. Anyone with a very old iPhone will miss out on the whole lot. The list of supported devices getting iOS 26 is as follows: iPhone 16e iPhone 16 iPhone 16 Plus iPhone 16 Pro iPhone 16 Pro Max iPhone 15 iPhone 15 Plus iPhone 15 Pro iPhone 15 Pro Max iPhone 14 iPhone 14 Plus iPhone 14 Pro iPhone 14 Pro Max iPhone 13 iPhone 13 mini iPhone 13 Pro iPhone 13 Pro Max iPhone 12 iPhone 12 mini iPhone 12 Pro iPhone 12 Pro Max iPhone 11 iPhone 11 Pro iPhone 11 Pro Max iPhone SE (3rd gen) iPhone SE (2nd gen) So if you've got anything older than the devices on that list, you're going without. That includes the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max, which received last year's iOS 18 update – but has since been cut off from iOS 26. EXPERT VIEW: 'ACTION-PACKED' APPLE EVENT Here's the expert view from Paolo Pescatore, industry analyst at PP Foresight... "Another action-packed event with Apple delivering a slew of new features for its platforms," Paolo said. "Overall, it looks like Apple has done enough in what promises to be a year of transition as it further builds out its AI capabilities. "There was plenty of Apple Intelligence under the hood. New and subtle features that build upon its relentless focus on privacy and security such as screening of calls and text messages will be sought after and widely used by users. "While it might seem, others are leading the AI race, it is not a sought-after feature among users and there's no revenue uplift (for now). Considering the negative perception, Apple needs to tread carefully not to frustrate and disappoint its loyal base of (iPhone) users. "With these latest updates providing a more coherent feel, Apple remains in an enviable position given its large installed base of users. The subtle addition of Apple Intelligence across key services will help grow awareness and provide users with confidence to drive further engagement. The tight integration between hardware, software and services really stands out with this latest move. "A unified software experience is paramount as more users buy and use a slew of Apple devices. This ensures a more comfortable look and feel driving further stickiness among users. All of which underline the growing importance of software and services at a time when people are looking to keep devices for longer. More importantly owning more devices from Apple. "The biggest visual change and redesign in years will coincide with a new iPhone later in the year. This will be significant as Apple is providing something new at a time when it is challenging to differentiate with a sea of sameness. Significantly it will put pressure on rivals as it makes their software a bit out of date. "People will feel like they have something new for free with a software upgrade. Noticeably, this will be a very different software update and one they will remember unlike others. "The name change is a very big deal which suggests a similar move might happen for the new iPhone to provide more consistency for users. "Other new features like live translate while available on rival platforms are much needed and will resonate with its customer base. "New gaming app follows in the footsteps of Apple TV in being a one-stop-shop for users gaming needs. This suggests a move to make bigger investments in gaming as others are doing. It represents a key battleground among providers. But the company is not resting on its laurels in TV with the new OS redesign to provide a more intuitive watching experience for users and families alike. "It might not steal the headlines, but the iPad finally takes a huge leap forward bringing it into line with other product segments for multitasking." Picture Credit: Paolo Pescatore
