Stacey Solomon shares emotional family update after heartbreaking news
Stacey Solomon shared an emotional update with her followers after a heartbreaking health condition struck one of her family. The TV host previously revealed in April that her dog Teddy had to have surgery after discovering he has a "predisposed condition".
She shared with her followers on Instagram at the time that he had become "suddenly unwell" prior to the procedure. Then in May Stacey, 35, confirmed that Spaniel, Teddy, had returned home but he had suffered a burst disc and "lost the use of his back legs".
Then last month she updated her fans further confirming that it was "likely" that he will "never get the feeling back" in his legs. She added that he will also need help emptying his bladder and walking.
Now in her latest update Stacey has debuted Teddy's new way of getting around since developing the devastating condition. Posting a video of him with his assisted wheels she shared her delight at seeing him able too run and play again.
She wrote, "Our Darling Teddy has his wheels. We have spent the last few days trying to teach teddy a new way of getting around & he's finally learning to love his wheels. He was very nervous at first but seeing him today walking around with peanut again was so special.
"We have spoken to our vet & have bought teddy some wheels. If we are doing anything wrong please be kind. This is a totally new journey for us & we are doing our best to give teddy the best life he can possibly have so just let us know if you have any tips."
She continued, "Teddy you've been such an amazing boy. We know your whole world has turned upside down but you've been so calm and patient and we hope we are giving you the second chance that you deserve. To the moon & back Teddy."
Stacey and husband Joe Swash originally rescued Teddy as a companion for their other dog, Peanut. When they first learned of his condition she told fans at the time: "Our darling Teddy. Teddy became suddenly unwell on Thursday. It turns out he has a predisposed condition we had no idea about as he was a rescue."
Stacey continued: "He has been operated on by incredible vets and the next 3-4 days are crucial for him to get through, even then, he might not ever fully recover. We are praying and hoping so hard that he pulls through & that we can care for him in the best way we possibly can to give him the best life he can have."
She concluded the original post by sharing her family's devastation over the situation. She wrote: "We are all truly devastated. He is the sweetest, most protective, loving dog. He's our family. And far too young to be going through this."
In a message to Teddy, she said: "We love you Ted. So so much. Pickle cottage is far too quiet without you. I miss my toilet buddy. Peanut is so sad without his best friend."

Kelly Clarkson cancels Las Vegas residency dates over ex-husband's illness
Kelly Clarkson is taking a pause from the spotlight to focus on her family during a difficult time. The American Idol champion, 43, announced in February that she would be taking up a residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, following in the footsteps of Celine Dion, Adele, Madonna, and Sir Elton John. But the Grammy-winning singer and talk show host has now announced that she is postponing the August dates of her Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The move, she said in a social media post, is due to health issues her ex-husband is experiencing. 'While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them,' Clarkson wrote. 'I appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding.' The postponed shows were scheduled for August 8-9 and residency is expected to resume in November, with performances set for the 7th, 8th, 14th, and 15th. According to Caesars Palace, fans with tickets to the postponed shows can hold onto them for newly announced 2026 dates or request a refund within 30 days. This isn't the first disruption in Clarkson's schedule this year. Earlier in 2025, she missed ten episodes of The Kelly Clarkson Show without explanation, prompting speculation about the cause of her absence. Additionally, at the beginning of July, she cancelled a Vegas show just 90 minutes before she was due to take to the stage. She began in a statement to her Instagram followers: 'We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans. 'I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow's opening at Caesars. 'The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice. I want the shows to be perfect for y'all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve.' Now, her newest statement suggests that behind the scenes, she's been navigating more than just a packed schedule. Clarkson shares two children – daughter River Rose and son Remington Alexander – with ex Brandon Blackstock. The pair married in 2013 and separated in 2020, with their divorce finalized in 2022 after a protracted legal battle. While Clarkson has largely kept the details of her family life private, glimpses into her post-divorce reality have surfaced in recent interviews. In a January 2024 conversation with People, Clarkson described the split as 'extraordinarily hard.' 'You feel alone,' she said, 'and it's just a blessing to be able to have that outlet for those emotions that are overwhelming,' referencing her confessional album Chemistry, which explores heartbreak. On a March 2025 episode of Kylie Kelce's Not Gonna Lie podcast, Clarkson opened up further about the emotional toll of co-parenting, revealing how her children seem to give more leeway to their father when he's absent. 'Even from a young age, we didn't teach them, just innately you're like . . . he's allowed to be somewhere, but you're not?' she said. 'That is like real interesting.' More Trending She added, with a touch of sarcasm: 'Co-parenting is fun! It's like, 'Oh, he couldn't come cause of this.' I'm like, 'OK, cool. What! Do you think I just leave and just sit in the park all day?'' Clarkson's divorce from Blackstock, who once served as her manager, was complex. In March 2023, she was awarded $2.6million in a dispute over improper commissions paid to Blackstock, after a California ruling found that he had secured deals that should have gone through her licensed talent agents at CAA. Though both parties reached a confidential settlement in May 2024, the saga had dragged on for years. For now, though, Clarkson is putting her role as a mother ahead of her on-stage duties. While some fans expressed disappointment at the delay, many have rallied around her with support, echoing her message of prioritising family first. Got a story? All EastEnders spoilers for next week as character reported to the police
Next week's EastEnders is packed full of confrontations, anxiety, and, of course, a few shock twists. Here's your day-by-day guide to everything happening in Albert Square… Avani Nandra-Hart's (Aaliyah James) pregnancy is taking a toll, with morning sickness kicking in and tensions rising. Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) is trying to convince Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) it's time to come clean to Ravi and Priya, but things get complicated when Avani attends Amy Mitchell's (Kamil Lipka-Konzaka) hot tub party. Feeling awkward and out of place, she's tempted to have a drink, but Suki and Eve show up just in time. A heated argument breaks out, and Avani storms off. Eve follows her and, after a heartfelt chat, agrees to support Avani's decision to have a termination. Over at the Slater house, Stacey is buzzing for Lily's return, until Jean and Freddie break the devastating news that her SecretCam photos and videos have been leaked online. Stacey immediately suspects Joel and storms around to confront him, but Ross intervenes. Later, Joel hands over his laptop to Ross to prove his innocence. Stacey, still unconvinced, reports him to the police. Elsewhere, Harry discovers Ravi and Okie are using Kojo's flat for dodgy dealings and tries to get involved behind the scenes. But with Ravi already under pressure from tax troubles, he demands the pair step things up. Meanwhile, Patrick returns home from the hospital but is clearly shaken. Honey, meanwhile, sets her sights on Mr Lister's job. Suki grows suspicious when Avani and Eve head off together, unaware they're planning to visit a clinic. Elsewhere, Stacey encourages Suki to be honest with Ravi and Priya, prompting her to finally go home and tell them the truth about Avani's pregnancy. Tensions mount as George learns Kojo's new mate, Okie, has gifted him a flashy watch. Wanting to avoid interfering, he accepts Elaine's offer to investigate. But things take a dangerous turn when she finds Kojo at The Arches, surrounded by an intimidating gang. The encounter escalates and Elaine ends up being thrown to the ground. Cindy and Elaine also make an unexpected discovery: it seems George is seeing someone new, and that someone turns out to be Nicola. Meanwhile, Joel remains unbothered by Stacey's police report, and Howie is hit with guilt as Patrick's post-attack anxiety becomes more evident. The fallout from Avani's termination rocks the Panesar family. Suki faces the anger of both Ravi and Priya, while Joel is furious after learning about Avani's decision, and even more upset that he wasn't consulted. More Trending Kojo and Elaine find themselves in a dangerous situation, but Okie arrives just in time to scare the gang off. Grateful and trusting, Kojo later gives Okie a key to his flat, but is that a wise move? Back on Bridge Street, Stacey receives news from the police about their investigation into Joel. And elsewhere, Gina and Harry take a break from the chaos with a long-overdue date. Joel, still reeling, takes matters into his own hands and storms over to No.5a to confront Avani. As Priya begs Ravi to stay calm, Joel tries to provoke him. Later, he catches up with Avani and unleashes his anger until Vicki arrives, drags him home, and gives him a brutal reality check. But Joel's reaction leaves her stunned. View More » Meanwhile, Honey and Zack both receive job updates, but will they be good news? Kelly Clarkson postpones Las Vegas residency after sudden crisis with ex-husband
American Idol alum Kelly Clarkson has had to make the tough call to postpone a full month of her Las Vegas residency due to family matters Kelly Clarkson has had to postpone a number of concerts last minute after making a sad family announcement. The former American Idol winner made the tough call on Wednesday evening as she told fans her Las Vegas residency was being cancelled throughout August. The Because Of You songstress, 43, began her residency in Caesars Palace last month, but is needing to postpone this month's offerings. It comes as she announced her ex-husband and father of her kids, Brandon Blackstock is sick. The duo share two children together, River Rose, 11, and son Remington Alexander, nine. Kelly and Brandon called time on their marriage in 2020, finalising their divorce two years later. Taking to Instagram to share the news, Kelly wrote: "Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas.. "While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them. I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding." Her followers were quick to acknowledge her situation and send well wishes in the comments section. One user wrote: "Those kids need you more than we do! Go be the best momma! Best wishes to all involved." Fellow singer Debbie Gibson added: "Priorities. Sending love to you and your family." And fashion designer Michael Costello said: "Sending you and your family love And prayers for healing." While there hasn't been any official notification about the rescheduled dates, Ticketmaster currently has dates for 2026 listed on its site. The cancellations come just a month after Kelly was forced to reschedule earlier dates. On July 4, Kelly revealed she was taking a short step back from the residency hours before taking to the stage to "protect myself". In a statement at the time, she said: "The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice. I want the shows to be perfect for y'all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve. The show is truly incredible." A week later, when she returned to her The Kelly Clarkson Show, she addressed the issue. In a clip shared on TikTok, the star said: "I'm so sorry. We can't help our bodies sometimes. You know, we get sick, and that happens. "But thank y'all for showing up. We are so excited. This is my favourite residency, my favourite show I've ever put together, because I love being in the studio."
