Alia Bhatt was spotted outside Sanjay Leela Bhansali's residence on Wednesday night, putting to rest the recent buzz around a possible delay in the much-anticipated period drama Love & War. The film, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, is currently scheduled for a March 2026 release.
As speculation mounted about the film missing its deadline, Alia's visit to Bhansali's house has been interpreted by fans as a silent confirmation that the project is still on track. The actress looked cheerful as she greeted paparazzi with a warm wave and a big smile.
Dressed in casual chic, Alia opted for a simple white T-shirt paired with wide-legged blue denims. She kept the look clean with black sling-back heels and a black shoulder bag. Her hair was pulled back in a neat low ponytail, and she completed the look with minimal makeup and dainty gold hoops, radiating effortless elegance.

Reports earlier this week had claimed that the film might not meet its March 2026 deadline. A source had told The Hollywood Reporter India, 'After the sequence is filmed, which promises to be of an epic scale involving Vicky and Ranbir, the team aims to wrap up by January 2026. It will be impossible for Love & War to finish post-production and come on the big screen two months later in March. So the film might get pushed."
However, other sources close to the production have denied these claims, suggesting the film is progressing as planned.
Love & War was officially announced in January 2024 via a signature poster featuring the lead trio—Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal. The film marks Alia's second collaboration with Bhansali after the critically acclaimed Gangubai Kathiawadi and Ranbir's reunion with the director after his 2007 debut Saawariya. Details of the plot are still under wraps, but anticipation around the film continues to grow with every update.
With Alia Bhatt making time to meet Bhansali amid shooting schedules and rumours, it seems the team is focused and determined to deliver on time.
