Ex-Celtic and West Brom kid could be on his way to Motherwell
Motherwell are set to snap up former Celtic striker Eseosa Sule on loan from West Brom.
The 19-year-old, who is eligible for Scotland and Nigeria, is expected to seal a deal at Fir Park until the end of the coming season.
Glasgow-born Sule, who signed for West Brom from the Scottish champions in 2023, excelled in PL2 last season, scoring nine goals in 11 games, but only managed one first-team appearance with the Baggies.
He has signed a new long-term contract with the EFL Championship club, who are keen for him to go out and get first-team games.
Motherwell boss Jens Berthel Askou has won the race to sign the talented teenager, ahead of likes of Lyon and Newcastle.
The news that will please Motherwell fans who are looking for new players comes as if emerged that Rangers had a cheeky bid for Lennon Miller booted out nearly 15 months ago.
It's common knowledge that Celtic's advances for the young midfielder were rebuffed by the Fir Park club, but the Rangers offer only came to light in recent days.
Miller is easily the most attractive young prospect in Scottish football right now, and won't be short of offers.
The 18-year-old won every Scottish Premiership Young Player of the Year award going, broke into the Scotland first-team set-up and made his debut, and excelled in a Motherwell side that struggled last season amid two manager walk-outs in Stuart Kettlewell and Michael Wimmer.
Rangers are believed to have verbally offered £1million for the Wishaw hot shot, which was instantly refused.
Clubs in England and around Europe are circling, knowing they're looking at £3million just to enter a conversation, and Miller has admitted himself that he fancies a move abroad, hopefully in the vein of the likes of Lewis Ferguson, Scott McTominay, Billy Gilmour and Max Johnston.
Dad Lee also says that would be an attractive proposition for the star, who is currently in pre-season with Motherwell and travelled to their base in Delden last week.
In the meantime, should Sule sign for Motherwell, fans might get their first glimpse of the player during their Premier Sports Cup Group G opener against Clyde at the Hamilton Community Stadium on Saturday.
Askou's side are then at home to League Two champions Peterhead on Tuesday, July 15.

It's mad – Ethan Williams in dreamland after first senior goal for Man Utd
The 19-year-old academy product ended last season on loan at Cheltenham, scoring two goals in 17 appearances during a fruitful spell in League Two. Williams had expected to spend much of this summer working with the Under-21s, only for Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim to last week give him the nod for their pre-season tour to the United States. A post shared by Manchester United (@manchesterunited) A whirlwind week peaked on Wednesday night in Chicago, where he replaced Amad Diallo in the 70th minute and went onto score a fine strike in a promising 4-1 win over Bournemouth. 'It's mad, I can't believe it,' Williams said. 'It still hasn't really sunk in, to be honest. It's a dream come true and I'm so happy right now. 'I'm thinking about all the moments, all the hard work I've been through,' he said. 'You know, I feel so blessed and so happy to be given this opportunity. 'To score, it's mad. I can't even explain how I am feeling, to be honest.' Williams was an unused substitute in their first Premier League Summer Series friendly against West Ham at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, where next year's World Cup final will be held. 2️⃣ wins in 2️⃣ at the #PLSummerSeries 🙌 — Manchester United (@ManUtd) July 31, 2025 It is a position the winger did not expect to find himself in at the start of last week, when he was primed to stay home having been an unused substitute in the senior side's pre-season opener against Leeds. 'It was last-minute,' Williams told club media. 'I was kind of told I wasn't (going) and then I was. 'I remember just… not really jumping around the bedroom, but I was buzzing. 'I've been trying to train well as these guys are the best players I've ever trained with, know what I mean? To be around it and be learning every single day is a real blessing and I'm just thankful for it all.'

Dor Turgeman transfer chase heats up as Rangers face serious competition from MLS and Europe
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) DOR TURGEMAN has been a name consistently linked with a move to Rangers this summer. But the Israel international certainly isn't short of interested parties. He netted 15 goals in 32 games to fire Maccabi Tel Aviv to title glory. The Light Blues have been watching Turgeman, capped eight times for his country, for some time but no deal has happened. Less than two weeks ago, Maccabi Tel Aviv boss Zarko Lazetic claimed it would take a FAIRYTALE offer for the club to consider selling Turgeman. The conflict between Israel and Iran has complicated matters further with Maccabi Tel Aviv extra keen to hold on to their top Israeli stars due to the decreasing likelihood of being able to attract foreign players. But Rangers are far from the only interested party. MLS Insider Tom Bogert is reporting that New England Revolution are interested in signing Turgeman. Fellow MLS outfit Portland Timbers are also credited with an interest. Turgeman would be an attractive signing for MLS clubs as they could bring him in on an U22 Initiative deal due to his age. That sort of contract allows MLS sides to sign up to three players aged 22 or under to lucrative deals - but at a reduced budget charge. Major Mikey Moore Rangers loan doubts & 'strange situation' at Celtic + transfer news Go Ballistic The report also notes that there is 'a lot of competition' from European clubs for Turgeman. Rangers' interest in signing a striker could depend a lot on the futures of Hamza Igamane and Cyriel Dessers. Morocco international Igamane has been the subject of plenty of interest but despite reports of him being close to a move to Lille, the French club have yet to firm up their interest. Dessers had looked likely to join AEK Athens earlier in the summer but it has all gone quiet on that front. Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page
