Pro-Net teams up with four charge point operators to expand EV charging access for apartment and condo residents
With its collaboration with Charge+, ChargeSini, RExharge and Charge N Go, Pro-Net aims to strengthen the national EV ecosystem and to support the increasing number of Proton e.MAS and smart owners.
Pro-Net provides e.MAS and Smart owners access to 1,053 EV charge points at condominiums and apartments
At the moment, Proton e.MAS and Smart customers can conveniently charge their EVs at 320 condominiums and apartments nationwide, and this includes its existing partnership with EV Connection (EVC) in December 2024. In total, Pro-Net now lists a total of 1,053 charging points at high-rise residential buildings across Malaysia.
Pro-Net added that these initiatives contribute to Malaysia's 90 per cent coverage milestone for public charging needs, which compliments the current network of 2,500 public charging points nationwide.
In addition, Pro-Net aims to make EV ownership easier and more affordable by working directly with the four CPOs to install chargers at residential condominiums and apartments.
Singapore-based Charge+ is installing chargers at 18 condominium locations while Time's Charge N Go is installing chargers at 93 condominium locations.
Meanwhile, ChargeSini is the largest player by coverage with over 1,010 charge points nationwide and it is expanding its charger installation to cover 204 condominium locations. RExharge is also supporting the partnership with charging solutions backed by more than 1,000 residential projects and more than 100 EV chargers, and they will be installing chargers at 5 condominium locations.
As the public charging network continues to grow, home EV charging is still the cheapest option but it is often limited to residents of landed property. The initiative aims to provide Proton e.MAS and Smart owners access to charge at their condo at lower rates than typical public chargers, with the aim of reducing the cost of owning an EV.

To celebrate the collaboration, Pro-Net is offering a limited-time promo where Proton e.MAS and Smart owners can enjoy discounted rate for EV charging at participating condominium charging points provided by each CPO. Each partner CPO will offer customised promotional pricing from RM0.75 per kWh as listed below:
Charge+ – AC Charging from RM0.75/kWh
ChargeSini – AC Charging from RM0.84/kWh, DC Charging from RM1.11/kWh
RExharge – AC Charging from RM0.75/kWh, DC Charging from RM0.99/kWh
Charge N Go – AC Charging from RM0.75/kWh
To enjoy these rates, you'll need to activate and pay for EV charging via the Proton e.MAS app which has built-in EV charging integration with live map for each CPO's charging platform. KPKT Targets Additional RM1 Mln Allocatiion For Public Clearning Efforts
PUTRAJAYA, Aug 19 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) is targeting an additional allocation of over RM1 billion to intensify public cleaning efforts following the agreement of the Selangor and Penang state governments to adopt Act 672. Its minister, Nga Kor Ming said the additional allocation will enable the implementation of several reforms, including the target of 20 per cent of public cleaning vehicles switching to electric vehicles (EVs) by 2027. 'This is in line with the national decarbonisation policy towards a zero-carbon economy. KPKT will also introduce public cleaning initiatives at night as well as deep cleaning programmes in tourist hotspots to keep them free from dust and garbage," he said. Nga said this to the media after attending the Budget 2026 Initiative Engagement Session with KPKT Stakeholders here today. Today's event was also attended by KPKT deputy minister Datuk Hajah Aiman Athirah Sabu and secretary-general Datuk M Noor Azman Taib. Nga said that the session attended by over 300 stakeholders received 55 proposals and views from over 30 representatives of associations, professional bodies and community organisations, including the Real Estate and Housing Developers' Association Malaysia (REHDA), National House Buyers Association, volunteer fire teams and Rukun Tetangga. "We will formulate all the input received to be submitted to the Ministry of Finance on Sept 4, to ensure Budget 2026 continues to benefit the people," he said. Nga said that KPKT will introduce over 10 new initiatives under Budget 2026, including focusing on public infrastructure projects with a target of 10,000 public facility projects to be implemented next year. 'Based on an excellent track record, last year, we completed 6,611 projects including parks, markets, food courts, hawker centres and public toilets. Therefore, we aim to double the allocation for BP1 (Federal Small Allocation) to at least RM500 million," he said.

Minister: Batang Ai floating solar plant set for December launch
Julaihi highlights some points in his speech during the programme. KUCHING (Aug 19): The state's floating solar power plant, including the 50-megawatt (MW) facility at the Batang Ai Dam, is scheduled to begin operations this December, said Dato Sri Julaihi Narawi. The Minister of Utility and Telecommunication said the facility only covers three per cent of the dam's surface area, leaving room for potential expansion to other hydro reseirvoirs such as Murum and Bakun. 'This initiative will attract foreign investors and help Sarawak achieve its vision of becoming a high-income state in the future,' he said when officiating the 10th edition of the Project Of Dream Realized (PRO-DR) Roadshow 2025 at the Dewan Pembangunan Sebuyau yesterday. Julaihi, who is also Sebuyau assemblyman, said this added that the development reflects how technology and innovation, combined with Sarawak's natural resources, can drive economic growth. 'Not only that, this also proves that Sarawak is on the right track to becoming a green energy hub in the region and contributing to Malaysia's ambition of being the 'Battery of Asean',' he said. Julaihi further noted that China's rapid development today was made possible through long-term investments in education, particularly in STEM and digital learning. 'Their progressive approach in education has enabled advances across industries. Likewise, it is not impossible for Sarawak to achieve rapid progress with a younger generation equipped with STEM and digital knowledge,' he stressed.
