Oklahoma Sooners earn trio of predictions for 2026 linebacker out of Wisconsin
The Oklahoma Sooners are beginning to put the pieces together on the defensive side of the ball in the 2026 recruiting class. The Sooners earned their first defensive commitment in the cycle on Tuesday, gaining a pledge from linebacker Niko Jandreau.
OU is also trending favorably for Niko's brother Beau, a linebacker who was projected to land with the Sooners by Parker Thune of OUInsider and Rivals. On3's Steve Wiltfong issued a prediction favoring the Sooners for one of the more impressive defensive line prospects in the class, Brian Harris.
With the possibility that the Oklahoma Sooners could lose up to three of their top four linebackers after the 2025 season and with light linebacker recruiting classes over the last couple of cycles, the Sooners may need to load up in the 2026 class. On Wednesday morning, the Sooners were favored to land three-star linebacker Ben Wenzel out of Appleton, Wisconsin.
The Sooners earned a trio of predictions from Rivals national recruiting analyst Greg Smith and OUInsider's Parker Thune and Brandon Drumm.
Wenzel's considered the No. 4 player in the state of Wisconsin and holds offers from Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Kansas, Michigan State, Minnesota, Army, Wyoming, and North Dakota. He received his offer from the Sooners back on April 29, according to Wenzel's X profile, and has an official visit set for the ChampU BBQ June 20-22. He also has official visits set up with Wisconsin and Kansas.
Wenzel may not be the most highly rated player, but it's clear he's impressed Brent Venables, the Oklahoma Sooners coaching staff, and the front office led by Jim Nagy.
Wenzel has good size at 6-foot-3 and plays linebacker the right way. He does a great job working through the opposition to track down the ball carrier and make a play. He has plus athleticism and flows well to the football. Wenzel does a great job using his length to keep blockers from washing him out of the play.
Wenzel's a fast-rising player that's beginning to get more national looks across college football and it appears the Oklahoma Sooners have put themselves in a strong position to land his commitment.

We won't get into all eighteen teams and who they will play, but we assume you are interested in what the conference schedule looks like for the boys next season. Here's how it all lays out for next spring. All dates and series are three-game sets: Friday, March 6 through Sunday, March 8: vs. UCLA (Columbus, OH) Friday, March 13 through Sunday, March 15: at Washington (Seattle, WA) Friday, March 27 through Sunday, March 30: at Minnesota (Minneapolis, MN) Friday, April 3 through Sunday, April 5: vs. Maryland (Columbus, OH) Friday, April 10 through Sunday, April 12: vs. Penn State (Columbus, OH) Friday, April 17 through Sunday, April 19: at Purdue (West Lafayette, IN) Friday, April 24 through Sunday, April 26: at Rutgers (Piscataway, NJ) Friday, May 1 through Sunday, May 3: vs. Nebraska (Columbus, OH) Friday, May 8 through Sunday, May 10: vs. Michigan State (Columbus, OH) Thursday, May 14 through Saturday, May 16: at Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI) The nonconference part of the schedule has yet to be released. That will come to a media outlet near you at a later date. When it does, we'll bring it to you. Clemson vs. South Carolina 2025 game time announced, reactions to the early time slot
Clemson vs. South Carolina 2025 game time announced, reactions to the early time slot The kickoff time is set for Clemson's regular-season finale against rival South Carolina. The Tigers and Gamecocks will meet at noon on Friday, Nov. 29 at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, with the game airing on either ABC or ESPN. It's the third time in the past four years the Palmetto Bowl will be played at noon. Clemson will look to bounce back from last year's 17-14 loss at home, a game that ended the Tigers' seven-game win streak in the rivalry. Dabo Swinney's team will also aim to continue its road dominance in Columbia, where Clemson has won five straight dating back to 2015. With a win, the Tigers would secure six straight victories at South Carolina for the first time since a stretch from 1989 to 1999. The Gamecocks haven't beaten Clemson at home since 2013, and the Tigers will be eager to keep it that way this fall. Along with the announcement of the game time came reactions. Like last year, people are mixed on the noon game. Contact us @Clemson_Wire on X, and like our page on Facebook for ongoing coverage of Clemson Tigers news and notes, plus opinions.

The SEC reveals TV windows for Auburn football
The SEC reveals TV windows for Auburn football Mark your calendars! The SEC has officially revealed the TV windows for every Auburn game The football season is almost here, and it is time to begin planning for roadtrips to the Plains and beyond to watch the Auburn Tigers this fall. Weeks after major networks revealed the start times for Auburn's first three games of the season, the SEC has now released the television windows for the remaining nine games on Auburn's schedule to better prepare fans for the season. Auburn's start times are broken down into four categories: early (11 a.m. – noon CT), afternoon (2:30 – 3:30 p.m. CT), night (5 – 7 p.m. CT), and flex (2:30 – 3:30 p.m. CT or 5-7 p.m. CT). Several notable windows are its game with Georgia at home (night), Arkansas on the road (early), and the Iron Bowl against Alabama (flex). Auburn's SEC opener at Oklahoma gets the flex treatment on Sept. 20, with the following week at Texas A&M beginning in the afternoon window at Kyle Field. The Tigers' home opener at Georgia will be under the lights at Jordan-Hare Stadium, with two of their next three games against Missouri and Kentucky being labeled as "flex." The game in-between the Missouri Tigers and Kentucky Wildcats at Arkansas will be an early kick. The next two games, against Vanderbilt in Nashville, and Mercer at home, will kick in the afternoon. Auburn vs. Vanderbilt will begin in the afternoon time frame while the game against Mercer will begin at 1 p.m. CT and will air on SEC Network. Finally, the Iron Bowl at Jordan-Hare Stadium is flexed. However, as the trend has shown recently, fans can expect the game to kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT. The time and date for Auburn's first three games were revealed last month. Auburn will begin the season in Waco, Texas on Friday, Aug. 29 against the Baylor Bears at 7 p.m. CT on FOX. The next two games, against Ball State and South Alabama, respectively, will kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT and 11:45 a.m. CT.
