Southampton vs Arsenal Live Streaming: How to Watch the Premier League Match Online in the US, UK and India
A second place in the Premier League is all but secured for Arsenal, and now they'll aim to wrap up their season on a positive note when they travel to face a struggling and already-relegated Southampton side. Change is looming on the south coast, as Southampton begin planning for life back in the EFL Championship.
The Saints recently avoided setting one unwanted record by securing a hard-fought draw against Manchester City, pushing them beyond Derby County's infamous 11-point total years ago. However, another dubious milestone still looms. If Southampton lose to Arsenal on the final day, they could set a new low that will be even worse than Derby County's record.
Arsenal Want to Leave a Mark
Even Derby County didn't suffer 30 losses in that disastrous season, but the Saints are now on the verge of that grim achievement. On the other hand, Mikel Arteta is likely to approach this match in a more composed frame of mind, with Arsenal having all but confirmed a second-place finish.
The Gunners secured their spot in next season's Champions League thanks to a narrow win over Newcastle United last weekend, highlighted by a brilliant second-half strike from Declan Rice.
Despite concerns over a hamstring issue before the match, Rice played nearly the entire game. Credit also goes to goalkeeper David Raya, whose outstanding saves helped secure a clean sheet. The Spanish goalkeeper will now be aiming for the Golden Glove with another shutout at St Mary's.
In general, Arsenal will be desperate to finish their campaign on a winning note against Southampton and head into the off-season with a clear plan for strengthening the squad during the upcoming transfer window.
When and Where
The English Premier League match between Southampton and Arsenal will be played at St. Mary's Stadium, Southampton, England, on Sunday, May 25, at 4 PM BST/11 AM ET and 8:30 PM IST.

McLaren still flying despite Formula One's flexi-wing changes
McLaren's Australian driver Oscar Piastri (right) and Lando Norris (left) are sprayed with champagne while posing for a team photo after the Spanish Grand Prix. PHOTO: AFP The Spanish GP, ninth round of the Formula 1 World Championship was, according to some people in the paddock who don't wear papaya orange shirts, the race at which McLaren were Going To Be Found Out. When their super-flexible front and rear wings – supposedly the secret of their domination in 2024 and 2025 and their first world championship for Constructors' success since 1998 – were going to be outlawed once and for all. It was going to be the F1 equivalent of Samson's biblical haircut. Join ST's Telegram channel and get the latest breaking news delivered to you.

Serial winner Montemurro confirmed as new coach of Australia's Matildas
SYDNEY - Joe Montemurro was confirmed as the new coach of the Australian women's national team on Monday and handed the task of leading the Matildas to the Women's Asian Cup title on home soil next year. The 55-year-old Australian moves from Lyon Women to replace Tom Sermanni, who has held the role on a caretaker basis since Tony Gustavsson departed in the wake of last year's disappointing Olympic campaign in Paris. The Matildas have established themselves as one of Australia's most popular sports teams but despite runs to the latter stages of the Olympic Games in 2021 and the Women's World Cup on home soil two years later, silverware has been sparse. Serial winner Montemurro, who said the appointment was the "honour of a lifetime", will be expected to change all that. "To be given the opportunity to lead one of the best brands in the world, one of the most exciting teams in the world, and to do it at home, it's something quite emotional," he told reporters in Sydney. "It's all set up for me to take over and bring it to the next level. Is the Asian Cup winnable? Of course it is ... I want to win, I want to win playing a great brand of football." After a modest playing career, Montemurro started his coaching career at state level in Victoria before taking over Melbourne Victory's women's team in 2014. He quickly established a reputation for playing attractive football and moved across his hometown the following season to join Melbourne City, where his team won two W-League titles. In November 2017, he moved to England to take over as Arsenal head coach and within six months had steered the club to victory in the FA Women's League Cup. The Women's Super League title was to follow in 2019 before a switch to Juventus women, where he won the Serie A and Coppa Italia double in 2021 during a successful three-year spell. He was hired by Lyon Women to replace UEFA Women's Champions League-winning coach Sonia Bompastor following her departure for Chelsea in June 2014. Montemurro has long been Football Australia's prime candidate for the Matildas post and he was freed to take up the job when Lyon released him from his contract on Sunday. With a squad featuring Arsenal's UEFA Women's Champions League-winning trio Steph Catley, Kyra Cooney-Cross and Caitlin Foord along with Chelsea striker Sam Kerr, expectations on Montemurro to deliver long-overdue success will be high. "We are at an exciting moment for the Matildas with the Women's Asian Cup nine months away," said Football Australia interim Chief Executive Heather Garriock. "We expect this team to be focused, driven and ready to show the world what we believe they're capable of." REUTERS Join ST's Telegram channel and get the latest breaking news delivered to you.

Pyramids are champions of continent but still second best at home
Soccer Football - CAF Champions League - Final - Second Leg - Pyramids v Mamelodi Sundowns - 30 June Stadium, Cairo, Egypt - June 1, 2025 Pyramids' Mohamed Chibi celebrates with the trophy after winning the CAF Champions League REUTERS/Amr Abdallah Dalsh Pyramids are champions of continent but still second best at home CAIRO - Unfancied Pyramids of Egypt might have been crowned African champions on Sunday, but their Croatian coach Krunoslav Jurcic said they still faced a struggle to assert themselves in their own country. The club - who changed their name, moved to Cairo and won promotion to the Egyptian top flight seven years ago - triumphed in the Champions League with a 3-2 aggregate win over two legs against Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa. It was only a second trophy, after Egyptian Cup success last season, for the club in just their second Champions League campaign. They have been seeking to emerge from the shadow of Cairo giants Al Ahly and Zamalek, who have not only dominated Egyptian competition but the Champions League as well. "When I started with the team last season, we played excellent football and had a long run of winning matches in a row but even then, this was not enough to be champion here,' said Jurcic. "This year again, we were very close but you know that Al Ahly is the best club in Africa, they are very good, they are very strong and it's very difficult to compete against a club like them." SUPPORT The 55-year-old Jurcic was delighted that his appeals for support ensured a 30,000-strong crowd at Sunday's decider in the June 30 Stadium, usually largely empty for their games, where they won the second leg 2-1. Cairo's passionate football followers traditionally support either Al Ahly or Zamalek, with little affection for any of the other sides based in the city. 'I'm very grateful for the crowd that came today,' he said after lifting the trophy. 'Usually we get to the stadium 90 minutes before kickoff and there is noone here. 'It's disheartening for the players, and I find it's my job to transmit positive energy to try and get them up for the matches,' Jurcic added. The former Croatia international, who played for his country when they finished third at the 1998 World Cup, patrolled the touchline like a man possessed, jumping up and down and cajoling his players throughout the 90 minutes of action. 'I believe that I can transmit my energy in a positive way, and I think that we can be competitive in the future with all the best teams in Egypt. 'But whether we can stay a force is something to see in the future,' he added. REUTERS Join ST's Telegram channel and get the latest breaking news delivered to you.
