The Block 'biggest losers' Dylan Adams and Jenny Heath bounce back with latest renovation project
Block stars Dylan Adams and Jenny Heath have turned to their next renovation project.
The couple were left heartbroken in 2022 when they walked away empty handed after their house failed to attract interest at auction.
To add insult to injury, the Gisborne property remained on the market of almost six months, eventually selling for $180,000 less than the reserve at $3.9million.
Also, the Palm Beach property they began renovating before their Block appearance failed to sell in 2023.
Unperturbed, the reality renovators have turned to their next 'fixer-upper' - a '90s-era holiday pad in Coolangatta.
The couple recently picked up the two-bedroom apartment for $920,000, which, in a reversal of fortune, was cheaper than the suburb's median unit price of $1.05million.
Speaking to the Gold Coast Bulletin, the couple said they were planning to bring a 'modern Mediterranean aesthetic' to the property.
'Since wrapping up our Palm House build, we've been itching to take on another project - but client work has kept up busy,' the couple said.
The couple have big plans for the 176-square-metre space, including replacing the kitchen's yellow and blue cabinets with Taj Mahal stonework, adding custom-designed rangehoods and modern lighting.
They also plan to create a flowing atmosphere, connecting internal and external living areas via French doors.
Multiple outdoor zones will be created, including a freestanding pergola with feature rafters.
It comes after the reality stars welcomed a baby boy, sharing the news to Instagram.

In one photo, their little man was wrapped in a blanket and cradled by the two doting parents in the hospital.
Another snap showed Jenny in the hospital bed pre-birth, while a third photo was taken of Dylan and Jenny touching Billy for the first time just after birth.
'HELLO WORLD I'M HERE. Billy Heath Adams. 24.07.24,' the caption read.
'I'm a happy healthy bubba, mum's recovering well, dad's taking care of us.'
The Block favourites first shared the good news they were expecting a baby back in January.
'We've been keeping a little secret... Baby Adams due July,' they wrote on Instagram alongside some images of the pair.
The photos showed the smitten couple cuddling on a beach as they showed off their ultrasound image.
The pair exchanged vows at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort on the Gold Coast in March last year, sharing a series of wedding photos to Instagram.

The opulent ceremony was attended by 150 guests including their former co-stars Ankur Dogra and Sharon Johal, Rachel and Ryan Carr, and Tom Calleja and Sarah-Jane Wilson.
The couple finally sold their Block home in February last year - three months after it failed to sell at the televised auction.
The Gisborne property found a buyer in a private sale and mystery surrounds its sale price or whether it reached its original $4.08million reserve.
Adams and Heath took to Instagram at the time to reflect on the sale while sharing a photo of themselves smiling on their verandah.

The 36-year-old also suffers unwanted comments and looks from strangers both online and offline - which meant going to the beach with her kids or doing the school run was always tough. Over nearly two decades, Tracy has undergone five boob jobs, a chin liposuction, an upper eyelid lift, a rhinoplasty, a BBL, labiaplasty, teeth straightening and more. She also got quarterly Botox and facial fillers, plus other beauty treatments like semi permanent make-up top-up or eyelash extensions. Tired of being scrutinised, Tracy has spent the last year stripping back her appearance. 'People judged me negatively and assumed that I would be self-obsessed and uneducated,' Tracy, who has 1.2m Instagram followers, said. 'They believed I was unhappy and hated myself so had to turn to surgery and aesthetics to feel 'beautiful' - which wasn't the case. 'What started off as a very innocent 'treat' to have pretty nails and a nice tan for summer in my teens ultimately turned me into an unrecognisable Barbie doll in time. 'But I feel that I had to reach that point of fake-ness in order to bounce back, wake up and return to my natural self. 'I realised my choices over my appearance were only taking me further away from my authenticity and personality, so removing it feels like returning home. Tracy started in August last year when she got her breast size reduced - paying £4,500 for the operation in Turkey to go from 32H to 32C. Since then, she's also had her fillers - which she gets in her chin, jawline, nose and lips - dissolved. The mother has cancelled her Botox appointments and ditched her hair and nail follow-ups. Tracy said: 'It's all too easy to spend £60 per week on lashes and nails, which then becomes hundreds per month when you factor in hair appointments, tanning, Botox and fillers top-ups. 'Before you know it, you suddenly have huge thick eyebrows, big lips and a motionless face with the smallest of imperfections becoming blindingly obvious. 'I realised that the woman staring back at me in the mirror isn't the person that I know myself to be.' Now, she is more confident in herself - and feels good about being able to go out with her children this summer without being stared at. Rod Stewart has described himself as 'devastated' after being forced to cancel a series of US concerts ahead of his Glastonbury set this month. The 80-year-old singer is scheduled to play at the iconic UK festival later this month, in its Sunday tea-time legends slot. However, the Maggie May singer has revealed that six more of his shows in the United States have had to be cancelled or rescheduled due to his falling ill. This comes after he was forced to cancel two shows in Las Vegas for the same reason. 'I have to cancel and reschedule my next six concerts in June as I continue to recover from the flu,' he wrote on Instagram on Saturday. 'So sorry my friends. I'm devastated and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience to my fans. I'll be back on stage and will see you soon.'
