Lenovo has expanded its Hybrid AI portfolio to include new services, solutions, and platforms aimed at accelerating the adoption and deployment of artificial intelligence in business environments.
The newly announced updates encompass Lenovo AI Services designed to support businesses in building and scaling AI capabilities, refreshed edge and infrastructure offerings targeted at enterprise customers, and the introduction of the Lenovo AI Centre of Excellence. These measures form part of a broader strategy to deliver a complete framework for enterprises to create, scale, and operate AI factories, utilising high-performance servers, enhanced computing, and collaboration with technology partners.
Responding to adoption challenges
Lenovo cited findings from its Global CIO Playbook which indicate that two-thirds of organisations have yet to see a return on investment from AI deployments, with challenges in scaling often tied to training, adoption, and technical gaps. The company referenced industry forecasts that anticipate AI budgets will triple to account for nearly 20% of total IT expenditures in 2025. Lenovo said it is positioning its infrastructure and services to address these challenges.

Services for scalable AI integration
New Lenovo AI Adoption and Change Management Services have been introduced in response to ongoing challenges around AI training and employee engagement. These services include assessments of workforce readiness, persona-based training programmes, integration support for generative AI applications such as Copilot, and frameworks for AI governance and culture change within organisations.
Key features for enterprises include the Lenovo AI People Readiness Assessment, tailored training and engagement based on staff roles, targeted change planning for generative AI tools, and strategies to help align leadership with responsible AI usage. These initiatives aim to accelerate adoption, reduce resistance, and track productivity outcomes.

Lenovo reported measurable impacts from these services across various industries, including a recent project that saw the company assist a leading airline with digital workplace transformation through a three-month advisory, planning, and design programme. Other deployments referenced improvements in medical diagnosis, scientific research, and manufacturing outcomes.
Validated solutions for enterprise deployment
Lenovo is also delivering new hybrid AI platforms built in collaboration with companies such as Cisco, IBM, and NVIDIA. These platforms focus on providing performance-tuned, tested solutions across sectors including manufacturing, hospitality, retail, and public safety.
Highlighted solutions include hospitality platforms leveraging data and real-time personalisation with Centific AI Data Foundry and NVIDIA, workplace safety monitoring systems using Avathon Visual AI and NVIDIA for hazard detection, and retail analytics utilising WaitTime and Intel technologies. In manufacturing, the partnership with Trifork and NVIDIA supports defect detection and sensor data analysis on the factory floor.
New infrastructure and ecosystem partners
An updated portfolio was also announced. The new Lenovo ThinkSystem SR680a V4 aims to meet the computational needs for large model development and simulation workloads and is specified with Intel Xeon 6 CPUs and eight NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, offering significant improvements in inferencing and computational power over previous systems. Additional enhancements include support for NVIDIA SuperNICs and the BlueField-3 DPU, aimed at accelerating network operations and securing AI deployments.
In partnership with IBM, Lenovo is offering a validated hybrid AI platform based on IBM watsonx, Red Hat OpenShift, and NVIDIA, supporting generative AI model development and governance. The enhanced collaboration with Cisco adds support for Nexus switches with NVIDIA Spectrum-X, aiming at improved network performance and data centre efficiency for AI factories, notably in environments using the Lenovo ThinkSystem SR675 V3 server and NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 GPUs.
The combined approach is designed to provide enterprises with integrated, trusted infrastructure adaptable to their stage in the AI deployment journey, whether at the outset, in scale-up mode, or seeking to optimise operations.
Lenovo states that the latest extensions to the Hybrid AI Advantage portfolio offer businesses the opportunity to integrate AI across devices, at the edge, and in the cloud, reflecting a shift towards more accessible and personalised AI deployment.

Lenovo climbs to eighth in 2025 Gartner Supply Chain Top 25

Lenovo has been ranked eighth in the Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 for 2025, moving up two places from the previous year, among peers from industries including pharmaceuticals, automotive, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), and technology. The annual Gartner ranking is designed to recognise organisations that display consistent leadership in supply chain strategy and execution, using a methodology that combines business performance indicators such as financial and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) metrics, with peer and analyst opinion. Digital growth Central to Lenovo's supply chain strategy has been its focus on digital transformation, with artificial intelligence (AI) playing a prominent role in improving operational efficiency and building resilience across its global operations. AI is also a factor in helping the business respond effectively to external challenges. "At Lenovo, our mission is to create Smarter AI for All. To build the kind of technology our customers expect, we need to lead by example within our own business. By integrating AI across our global supply chain, we're not only able to support the growing business demand, but also improve the customer experience, and cut order-to-ship times in what is arguably one of the most complex and dynamic global business environments," said Che Min Tu, SVP and Group Operations Officer. Lenovo has worked to streamline its business operations over the past eight years, focusing on enhancements in planning, procurement, supplier collaboration, and logistics visibility. Many of these steps were taken in tandem with the company's environmental targets, as the business aimed to bring supply chain improvements into alignment with its ESG undertakings. The deployment of AI has accelerated these efforts. According to Lenovo, its teams now use AI-powered tools to enable faster decision-making and gain deeper insight into operations. The technology has also been used to support problem resolution processes, with specialist AI agents assisting teams to address issues efficiently. A specific group of over 75 Lenovo researchers, which includes 22 PhDs, has been credited with the development of a suite of AI-enabled solutions designed to strengthen the objectives of the company's global supply chain. Efficiency and outcomes Within this supply chain, Lenovo reports that AI has delivered improvements in planning accuracy and accountability, leading to efficiencies and cost savings. The introduction of AI-driven production scheduling has further contributed to sped-up, more responsive manufacturing decisions. "The use of AI in our systems is ultimately benefiting our customers. AI-driven customer sentiment analysis has provided deeper insights into customer needs and recurring issues, resulting in improved customer satisfaction and better warranty-related performance," said Guan Wei, SVP and Head of Global Supply Chain. These changes are reflected across an extensive global footprint. Lenovo's supply chain incorporates more than 30 manufacturing sites in 11 markets, located across the Asia Pacific, China, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, North America, and South America. In early 2025, the company started development of a new plant in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in partnership with Alat. This new facility is expected to begin manufacturing millions of laptops, desktops, and servers for the region from 2026. Through this network, Lenovo aims to maintain flexibility in its operations, allowing it to respond rapidly to changes in the global environment as required. Anti-fragile approach Looking forward, Lenovo is now seeking to advance beyond traditional concepts of resilience in its supply chain management. "As supply chains become more complex, staying resilient is no longer enough. Lenovo is now focused on becoming 'anti-fragile'—not just withstanding disruption but getting stronger because of it," Ben Massie, Vice President of Global Supply Chain for Lenovo's Infrastructure Solutions Group, said. Ranking methodology The Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 is compiled using a composite score that combines business performance over a three-year period, based on public financial and ESG data, with an opinions component drawn from experts and peers within the supply chain community. The list is constructed from a pool of companies on the Fortune Global 500 and Forbes Global 2000, with an annual revenue threshold of USD $15 billion applied, and is limited to businesses with significant physical supply chain operations. The recognition of Lenovo in the eighth position marks an increased standing in global supply chain management across sectors and geographies for the company.

Additionally, the partnership with Trifork and NVIDIA brings automated quality inspection solutions for the manufacturing sector, using AI-powered insights for defect detection and model retraining on the factory floor. Hybrid platforms and infrastructure The expansion includes new high-performance systems such as the ThinkSystem SR680a V4, equipped with Intel Xeon 6 CPUs and eight NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs interconnected with NVIDIA NVLink technology. The platform is designed to offer up to eleven times faster AI inferencing capabilities on large language models and up to seven times computational capacity compared to previous versions. Other components include the hybrid AI platform with IBM watsonx, which integrates with Lenovo ThinkSystem SR675 servers, and a collaborative platform with Cisco, supported by NVIDIA Spectrum-X technology. The IBM watsonx platform provides validated, ready-to-deploy generative AI infrastructure, while the Cisco collaboration is aimed at boosting network performance for enterprise AI deployments. The Hybrid AI platform with Cisco is built on the ThinkSystem SR675 V3, supporting up to eight NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs, and is intended as a universal data centre system that shifts workloads from CPU-based to GPU-accelerated environments. Lenovo states that regardless of an organisation's stage in its AI journey, these offerings are designed to deliver measurable business outcomes using established infrastructure and frameworks, aiming to support enterprises from initial adoption through to scaling and optimisation.
