Conor McGregor
finally broke the silence. The UFC star has spoken out after his appeal was rejected. This appeal was about a civil trial from late 2024 where a jury said he sexually assaulted Nikita Hand.
He says he did nothing wrong. He says never offered any deal, and that she and her team tried to settle. He strongly denies a €1 million rumour and says when she was caught lying under oath, her lawyers then asked him for €3 million. He refused. This new statement comes just after the court decision on July 31, 2025.
Conor McGregor denies €1m offer, claims Nikita Hand's team sought €3m after court lie
On July 31, 2025 in Dublin, Ireland's Court of Appeal denied McGregor's appeal in full. He was previously ordered in November 2024 to pay nearly €250,000 to Nikita Hand, who accused him of rape in December 2018 at a hotel penthouse.
The judges ruled he must still pay damages and legal fees.
McGregor, 36, denied the allegation and said the encounter was fully consensual. He also argued that jury instructions and his
'no comment'
police interview responses were wrongly handled but the court found no errors. Hand, present at the hearing, said:
'You deserve to be heard … Today I can finally move on and try to heal'.
Conor McGregor's statement on settlement and lies
McGregor issued a detailed statement on X (formerly Twitter) the same day. He said:
'I offered this person, or her team, nothing! It was always them attempting to seek compensation to settle.' 'I believe they leaked press stories of a €1 million offer being refused. All of that was lies!'
He added that when Nikita Hand was
'caught in a lie under oath,'
her legal team approached his side and asked if he would pay €3 million to end the case before he had chance to respond. He said he replied:
'No chance.'
He wrote:
'The truth will set you free. I go forward where I know the truth'.
McGregor was not in court that day, he says he was on his yacht off the coast of Italy.

Image via: Sixty-One: Life Lessons from Papa, On and Off the Court/ Chris Paul Five men were convicted of the murder of NBA star Chris Paul's grandfather, Nathaniel Jones, over 20 years ago. However, the accused pleaded not guilty last Friday, delivering a new hope for the Winston-Salem five. Nathaniel Jones was killed on November 15, 2002, at the age of just 61. Four of the five men had tried to prove themselves not guilty of the crime; however, the judges dismissed their claim. According to Defense Attorney Chris Mumma, two of the five men were still behind bars, but they would be released from prison later on Monday. Christopher Bryant, Jermall Tolliver, and Dorrell Brayboy were said to be involved in the case, and they were released after serving 12 years of prison, each. As for Nathaniel Cauthen and Rayshawn Banner, they will have a hearing on Monday and will be released on Tuesday at any time. Winston-Salem Five's convictions overturned for the murder of Chris Paul's grandfather The accused in Nathaniel Jones's murder case pleaded not guilty. According to Chris Mumma, Rayshawn Banner and his brother Nathaniel Cauthen were the only two people of the Winston-Salem Five who were still held against. She further said, 'I had hoped that the boys would just be able to move on, and though they'll be happy to be home with their mom and reunite with their family, it's gonna drag on.' There was a woman at the scene of the murder who said she was with the men when the killing happened. However, she also committed a felony by falsely testifying at her previous hearings due to the immense pressure of the Police. The Defense Attorney, Chris Mumma, expressed her anger by saying, 'The order is very thorough and very clear and lays out the claims very well with supporting evidence. And yet the state still cannot accept the truth in this case and is not objective. ' Who were the accused involved in the murder case of Chris Paul's grandfather Nathaniel Jones? Five then-teenagers were involved in the murder case of Nathaniel Jones back in 2002. They are Christopher Bryant, Jermall Tolliver, and Dorrell Brayboy, who were released after serving 12 years in prison. Nathaniel Cauthen and his brother, Rayshawn Banner, are still struggling for their justice to be served. Their case will now proceed to the state Court of Appeals. Chris Mumma mentioned that Nathaniel Cauthan is being held in Eastern North Carolina, and his brother, Rayshawn Banner, is in the Western front. She also stated that the brother will receive the necessary support upon their release, which could happen anytime on Tuesday, after their appeal on Monday. Jon Gruden crushes NFL's arbitration shield, ignites fierce legal battle to expose league's secrets

Jon Gruden crushes NFL arbitration shield (Image credits: IG/X) Jon Gruden has won a critical legal battle allowing his lawsuit against the NFL to move forward publicly, marking a seismic shift in how league disputes are handled. The Nevada Supreme Court ruled the NFL cannot force arbitration in his case, rejecting its attempt to bury the claims behind closed doors. This decision paves the way for Gruden to challenge the league openly over the 2021 email leaks that rocked his career. It's a landmark moment that could reshape the NFL's internal accountability. Nevada supreme court overturns NFL arbitration clause , empowering Jon Gruden The Nevada Supreme Court delivered a decisive 5-2 ruling that invalidated the NFL's arbitration clause in this context. The court deemed the clause "unconscionable" and unfairly imposed on Gruden, a former employee. This rejects the league's bid to force arbitration, which would have shielded the NFL from public scrutiny. The ruling asserts that the NFL cannot unilaterally change its constitution to evade accountability. Gruden's lawsuit challenges NFL's handling of email leak scandal Gruden's lawsuit alleges the NFL orchestrated a 'malicious' campaign by leaking his private emails to damage his reputation. The suit claims this was a deliberate effort to undermine his career. The emails surfaced in 2021, triggering Gruden's resignation and massive media fallout. Now, with arbitration blocked, Gruden can push forward for justice in an open courtroom. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 15 Most Gorgeous Women, Ranked BigGlobalTravel Undo Legal experts see broader implications for NFL governance and transparency This ruling exposes flaws in the NFL's governance, highlighting the problematic role of Commissioner Roger Goodell, who was named in the lawsuit. The court criticized Goodell's power to arbitrate disputes involving his own conduct. Gruden's attorney Adam Hosmer-Henner hailed the ruling, saying it 'vindicates Coach Gruden's reputation' and 'holds the NFL accountable.' The decision could inspire more challenges to league authority and demand greater transparency. The verdict not only propels Gruden's case but sends a warning to the NFL about unchecked power. Fans and insiders will closely watch how this lawsuit unfolds, potentially altering league politics forever. Gruden's fight symbolizes a rare pushback against the NFL's opaque control mechanisms, resonating globally beyond just American football. For now, the NFL faces renewed pressure to reform how it handles internal disputes and public controversies. The incident took place at the Lansdowne Place Mall parking lot on July 29, police said. The video, said to have originally posted by the victim on Facebook, shows three men inside a pickup truck harassing the couple. (X/@ImpoliteCanuck) The disturbing footage, now viral on social media, showed the Indian couple being targeted with racial slurs, and even threats of violence. Video of harassment goes viral The video, said to have originally posted by the victim on Facebook, shows three men inside a pickup truck harassing the couple. When the Indian man attempts to film their license plate, one of the men shouts, 'Do you want me to get out of the car and f*****g kill you?' The group also insults the man with slurs such as 'big nose' and 'f*****g immigrant.' Viewer warning: Disturbing content At one point, one of the individuals exits the vehicle gestures toward the couple in an obscene manner, including simulating sexual acts against their car. The victims have also alleged that the group rammed their vehicle, causing damage. The video has sparked outrage online, with scores expressing concern over what they see as rising hostility toward Indian immigrants in Canada. 'First-world manners on full display," one user posted on X (formerly Twitter) while sharing the clip. The user named the suspects and called them 'all shining examples.' What Peterborough Police said The Peterborough Police Service said in a press release it has made an arrest in connection with the incident. 'On Friday, August 8, 2025, officers began an investigation into the incident, which happened on July 29, 2025. The investigation included viewing videos, some of which were circulating on social media, and that included hate-based language,' the press release read. The release said an 18-year-old male from the City of Kawartha Lakes has been charged with "Utter threats - Cause Death or Bodily Harm". The accused has been released on an undertaking and will appear in court September 16, 2025. While there is no specific charge for hate crime in Canada that applies to this incident, there is a hate crime element to this case and that will be addressed as the case moves through the court process. "Anybody who has seen the video in this case will understand that that type of behaviour is not acceptable in our community, nor any community. I would like to thank everyone who came forward with information in connection with this incident. Clearly this is not the standard of acceptable behaviour in our city. We encourage residents to continue to report hate bias incidents/crimes that take place in our community. Reporting these incidents to police is crucial to ensuring we have the information needed to investigate and pursue charges when appropriate. We are committed to keeping our community safe for everyone who lives, works, or visits here." Peterborough Police Service chief Stuart Betts was quoted in the statement.
