Love Island winning couple 'revealed' just days before the final

Love Island is days away from the final, and fans have been sharing who their favourite couples of this year's series are Love Island couple Shakira Khan and Harry Cooksley have become the fan-favourite couple to win this year's series. After a tense few weeks, the remaining couples, including Shakira and Harry, Ty and Angel, Megan and Conor, Blu and Helena, Toni and Cach, Yas and Jamie, and Meg and Dejon, who have been together since day one. ‌ Viewers recently shared their predictions on which couple is next to be dumped, with fans taking to X/ Twitter to say Blu and Helena will be next to go as they're the only non-romantic couple in the villa after Harry chose to couple up with Shakira. Blu and Helena were then forced to couple up. ‌ ‌ With only days together, fans have also been picking who they want to win, and there has been a huge move in the Love Island betting market, with Shakira and Harry moving into 11/2 from 25/1. Bettings odds for the winners were previously dominated by Yas and Jamie and Toni and Cach (both joint 6/4). Meg and Dejon are coming in at 7/1, Megan and Conor at 12/1, Angel & Ty at 20/1 and Helena and Blu coming it at 100/1. ‌ A spokesperson for William Hill said: "We thought Love Island 2025 was a two-horse race but with days to go before the final, we have seen a significant mover in the betting. 'Shakira Khan & Harry Cooksley are now 11/2 to be named the winning couple, having been as big as 25/1 previously. Yasmin Pettet & Jamie Rhodes and Antonia Laites & Cach Mercer have been vying for favouritism all week and have taken exactly the same amount of bets – both priced at 6/4 – with Shakira & Harry now third in the market.' ‌ It comes as fans were weirded out by Harry's 'stink' obsession. After Harry recoupled up with Shakira, he took her to the dressing room for a private chat. "That was not easy. Not in terms of who I was going to pick, but just both of you [Shakira and Helena] being stood up there," he told her. Shakira replied: "I can't believe we're back at day two, right back to where we started. Further back if that's even possible. This is no good." The pair both vowed that they would take 'baby steps' in going forward so that they could get used to the situation, and enjoyed a cuddle together. But as Harry leaned in for a kiss, Shakira turned to give him her cheek. ‌ Harry brought up the fact that one of them smelled bad, and Shakira replied: "It's me, I'm ponging." An excited Harry said: "Are you? What a shame, come closer." T he moment did not go unnoticed by viewers and they flooded social media with their reactions as they began to discover Harry's secret thing for armpits. One viewer wrote: "Harry's armpit obsession needs to be studied," whilst another wrote: "I thought Emma was the weirdo for the armpit thing, but it turns out Harry is the armpit fetish freak."

Review: Alison Spittle bosses the stage at the Fringe

The Monkey Barrel, until August 24, 4.45pm (not August 12). Alison Spittle bursts onto the stage in an explosion of tulle and sequins. It's like a transformation challenge on The Great British Sewing Bee and they've raided the Strictly wardrobe. A seasoned stand-up, she's absolutely bossing that stage and she knows it. There's a couple of cracking Shrek puns and an Adele gag before she gets to the meat of this year's set. Big is the true story of the life-threatening reason for Alison's weight loss journey. How a brief but bolshie encounter with a man on a train triggered a series of events that changed her life. As far as confessional story-telling goes, Alison's already proved that she's a craic-shot. Two of her previous Fringe shows, Wet and Soup explored deeply personal issues. This year though, the emotion's been supersized. Strap yourselves in, because it's going to be a Thorpe Park roller coaster of a ride. Read More: Fat since the age of eight, weight has been a constant war in Alison's life. Childhood trauma had resulted in her using food as a means of comfort and control. Eating was her armour. She'd never really wanted to change, until that is, she found out that she couldn't. There's searing wit and wonderful self-deprecation in her stories. A skiing holiday with friends demonstrates why you should swerve the raclette and never get too big for your boots. Her humour is deliciously dark and at times, drier than an unbuttered Ryvita. Especially when recounting her time in hospital. Dangerously ill with septicaemia, she was grateful that she was now able miss that gig in Guildford. Even as her organs were shutting down she was still on the socials. The penny finally dropped that this was serious when she was too tired to doomscroll and we're treated to a sound-bite of the fever dream voice note she sent her distraught boyfriend. When it comes to Alison Spittle at the Fringe, less is most definitely more. This is a carefully-crafted, expertly-delivered show. There's a fabulous Love Island call back, a slam dunk of a Phillip Schofield gag and an exploration of Irish women's devotion to cardigans before it's time to pick up that pop-pom'd poncho and call it a night. It doesn't quite finish there, though. There's a unique photo-op for audience members, but to tell you more about that would be pointless. Go check it out for yourselves. For Fringe tickets see here
