Dhamar… Symposium at Al-Shamsiya School commemorating Prophet's Migration
Dhamar – Saba:
A cultural symposium was held on Thursday at Al-Shamsiya School in Dhamar city to commemorate the anniversary of the noble Prophet's Migration (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
The symposium was attended by the Director of Security in the province, Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Mahdi, along with a number of scholars, local and executive leaders, preachers, and mentors. Faisal Al-Hatfi, Director of the General Endowments Authority Office in the province, emphasized that the anniversary of the Prophet's Migration represents a faith-driven and motivational milestone to draw lessons from the life of the noble Prophet and return to the Holy Quran to rectify the Ummah's condition and restore its status, strength, dignity, and glory.
He highlighted the importance of recalling the lessons from the Prophet's Migration in confronting the forces of disbelief and tyranny, reviewing the profound impact of the Migration in bringing about effective change in the course of history and human life.
Al-Hatfi also touched on the stance of Al-Aws and Al-Khazraj tribes in supporting the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family), explaining that the Migration from Makkah to Madinah was not an escape from the persecution of Quraysh but a strategic step to build a free and independent society carrying the Ummah's civilizational project.
He stressed the importance of utilizing this occasion to fortify society against attempts of infiltration and to confront aggressive schemes targeting the homeland and the Ummah.
For his part, Sheikh Ismail Al-Washli, a member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, reviewed aspects of the noble Prophet's biography and his migration from Makkah to Madinah, emphasizing the importance of reflecting on the lessons learned as the foundational step in establishing the Islamic state.
Meanwhile, cultural activist Yahya Al-Moushki pointed out the fundamental differences between the societies of Makkah and Madinah, underlining the religious and educational significance of the Prophet's Migration, which calls for deep reflection and drawing inspiration to build a strong and cohesive society resistant to conspiracies and plots.
