Trump's ‘Hollywood Tariff': Where to Move 7 Potentially Impacted TV Shows
Any hypothetical tariff would presumably extend to small-screen productions — and a lot of our favorite TV shows shoot internationally — so we decided to get out ahead of any executive orders and figure out where more than a half-dozen series (both scripted and unscripted) will have to film if they're forced to find new shooting locations across the good ol' U.S. of A. What follows are seven very real, totally serious suggestions. 🇺🇸

In lieu of a race around the world, Phil Keoghan will now instruct teams of two to hotfoot it around the EPCOT World Showcase at Walt Disney World. — Ryan Schwartz
Paris, France is a global fashion capital, known for its understated elegance and classic styles. Alas, Emily Cooper will now be working in Paris, Texas, which (fun fact!) has a 65-foot replica of the Eiffel Tower topped with a red cowboy hat. — R.S.
The Game of Thrones prequel previously filmed in the UK and Spain. But now that the powers that be are limited to the continental United States, Daemon and Rhaenyra Targaryen will have to draw their swords at… the Medieval Times in Lyndenhurst, N.J. Sure, it won't look anything like Dragonstone. But on the bright side: unlimited turkey legs at craft service! — R.S.
The international offshoot has been praised for taking full advantage of the Sydney backdrop — which, in and of itself, has made TV's fifth NCIS series look special, if not downright picturesque. But if production has to relocate from the Land Down Under, they'll have to settle for… Sydney, North Dakota, which has a population density of 3.7 people per square mile. That should keep the multi-national task force busy for… well, at least a few episodes. Provided they can find naval crimes being committed in the Great Lakes. — R.S.
Forget Fiji. Have you been to Boca Raton? Our castaways will have to outwit, outlast and outplay each other alongside the sandy Florida beaches, with the added challenge of dodging swarms of snowbirds threatening their gameplay. Instead of competing for supplies and rice, the teams will have the chance to lower their property taxes! — Claire Franken
Alan Cumming will no longer lord over Peacock's reality show in outrageous regalia against the backdrop of a Scottish countryside. But if anyone can figure out how to elevate White Castle's medieval font and customary blue visor, it's this dazzling master of ceremonies. While the cast can't scheme within the confines of a sophisticated castle, nor meet at the iconic round table to make their cuts, they can gather around a giant, square slider and cast their votes with a dessert on a stick. — C.F.
HBO's Emmy-winning anthology has traveled the globe over the course of its three seasons: Hawai'i, Sicily and, most recently, Thailand. But what kind of social satire might Mike White be able to explore in a place like… Atlantic City? Forget the glitz and glamour of a five-star resort! Let's follow a new rag-tag group of individuals navigating the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and the boardwalk's robust offering of questionably maintained carnival rides. — C.F.

Starmer speaks with Trump after president's Ukraine ceasefire talks with Putin
Sir Keir Starmer has spoken with Donald Trump after the US president's summit with Vladimir Putin ended without a deal to stop the war in Ukraine. The Prime Minister joined a call with Mr Trump and Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky, as well as other European leaders, after the US-Russia ceasefire talks, Downing Street said. Mr Trump did not secure a deal to end the conflict in Ukraine after nearly three hours of talks with his Russian counterpart at a military base in Anchorage, Alaska. After the negotiations, which took place alongside senior officials, the two presidents refused to answer questions from reporters. However, both made statements, with Mr Trump saying 'some great progress' was made with 'many points' agreed and 'very few' remaining. In a call after the summit, Sir Keir and Mr Zelensky spoke with the US president alongside leaders from Italy, France, Finland, Germany and Poland, as well as Nato's Mark Rutte, and Ursula von der Leyen of the European Commission. Sir Keir is due to speak again with European leaders this morning.
