Mr Blades became one of the best-known faces on British TV after The Repair Shop launched in 2017, with members of the public bringing their treasured possessions and heirlooms to be fixed.It began in a daytime slot and then moved to primetime after it became a hit.The show won a National Television Award in 2023, and also won a Bafta the same year for its royal special, in which the future King took a clock and a vase to the workshop.He has also hosted Money for Nothing, Jay Blades' Home Fix and Jay and Dom's Home Fix, and in 2022 he fronted a documentary about learning to read at the age of 51.He was honoured with an MBE in 2021.Mr Blades stepped back from presenting The Repair Shop last year.

As Joel walked out the room, Ross was left disgusted when he heard Drake saying feminism was a lie, and that a women's only job is to find a boyfriend. He was then left raging when he found a number of "100% illegal" up skirting and changing room videos on his teenage son's laptop, as he threw his laptop in the sink with the water running. "I do not want this filth in my house!", Ross exclaimed. "You are a revolting, arrogant disgusting little pervert!" Fans were left overjoyed that Ross had finally clocked on to how much of a "creep" his son was. Taking to Reddit, one fan penned: "Hallelujah Ross has finally wised up to his creepy son," as another penned: "Why has it taken that long for Ross to realise what a creep his son is? At least he's finally doing something about it." Another fan wrote: "wheyyyy ross finally grew a fkn backbone." The explosive scenes come just after Joel's mum was mentioned for the first time. Last night, we learnt Joel's mum was called Cleo, and cheated on Ross while in Australia. It came after fans believed his mum was Zoe Slater, in line with her return. Despite this, fans are still convinced that Zoe is Joel's mum, with many believing Cleo is a "cover up name." There's more drama for Joel next week, as spoilers reveal he's left reeling when he finds out Avani has had a termination without him even knowing she was pregnant with his baby. Terminally-ill woman plans solo round-the-world sailing voyage
A terminally-ill woman is planning on competing in a solo round-the-world sailing voyage. Jazz Turner, 27, lives with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, a debilitating genetic condition that affects connective tissue. She wants to take part in next year's Royal Western Yacht Club of England's WorldStar challenge, which would make her the first female, disabled sailor to complete such a feat. Ms Turner, from Seaford, East Sussex, was diagnosed with the illness, which causes fainting and seizures, when she was 18. Due to complications, doctors have told her that her condition is now terminal. 'As my condition has progressed, the one thing I made sure of was that I never stopped sailing,' she said. Next year's challenge follows her recent circumnavigation of the UK and Ireland, known as Project Fear, but she now needs to secure the right boat and sponsorship to carry her around the globe. 'I've always been drawn to challenges that push me to my edge,' she said. 'Project Fear was born off the back of the announcement of the WorldStar 2026. I face many a 'no' in my life, I do my best to turn them into 'yes'. 'The right partnership could turn this vision into reality. 'Whether it's a boat owner willing to lend their yacht or sponsors eager to back a remarkable human and sporting story, I'm inviting them to join me on this journey.' The WorldStar 2026 leaves Plymouth in September next year and tests sailors to circle the globe without outside assistance or stops. Adrian Gray, commodore of the Royal Western Yacht Club, said: 'Jazz is the epitome of why we created this Corinthian-style race. 'This is a race for sailors, run by sailors and the only one of its style in the UK. 'When we initially reached out to Jazz and she told us her 'Project Fear' campaign, a solo, non-stop, unassisted circumnavigation of the UK and Ireland, was started following our announcement of the WorldStar, we knew we wanted to help Jazz fulfil her life's dream.'
