Lindsay Lohan Wants to Do 'Some More Serious, Dramatic Roles' After ‘Freakier Friday'
Freakier Friday reunites the duo as mother and daughter Tess and Anna Coleman, who swapped bodies in the original film and, in the sequel, discover that lightning may indeed strike twice.

At Freakier Friday's L.A. premiere on Tuesday, Lohan told The Hollywood Reporter that the follow-up movie is 'bigger, we have more stories to tell. It's a four-way swap and there's more music and there's a lot more physical comedy than the first one, which I love. Any moment that I can pull a Lucile Ball, I'm down for it.'

Lohan and Curtis have remained close friends since they worked together two decades ago, as Lohan explained, 'She was there for me at a time of my life when my mom was busy with my siblings, and she was kind of like another mother figure to me out here in L.A. That's kept us pretty tight-knit over time, and we've always just been in contact.'
Curtis added that in working with the 15-year-old Lohan in the first film, 'I said to her from day one, 'I want nothing from you except your own peace and serenity. And I am safe, I'm a home base; I don't want anything, I'm not going to ask you to come to anything.'' She continued, 'I don't want her to feel transactional with me, I want her to feel love.'

The film is a return to the big screen for Lohan, who has marked her Hollywood comeback with a series of Netflix films over the past few years. Looking forward, the star said she's 'doing a TV show with Hulu that I'm really excited about and I'd like to take on some more serious, dramatic roles. And I love doing romantic comedy because that's where my home is and I feel like where my fans want to see me, but I'd like to take on some things that are different; maybe find something that's an action-packed film. Just really show people a different side of me.'

Also returning for the sequel is love interest Chad Michael Murray, who joked of Curtis and Lohan, 'I'll ride those girls' coattails anytime. I came in, and you never know what to expect, you're sitting there going, 'Oh God, let's not screw it up.' You're going to make a sequel and I hate to say it but it's as good, if not better — they delivered.'
Also at the premiere, the film's fictional band Pink Slip surprised guests with a special performance prior to the screening, and Lohan was joined on the carpet by her Parent Trap co-stars Lisa Ann Walter and Elaine Hendrix.

'You know, the fun part is Robert Downey Jr. was such an integral part of the beginning of my career at Marvel," he confessed. "It's great to have him back and continue the legacy he built with the MCU.' By the sounds of things, it almost feels like he never left after his original Iron Avenger, Tony Stark, made the killer snap that brought back half the MCU in Avengers: Endgame. Not only working with stars he left behind in the 2019 film, Downey is also welcoming in the newcomers to the MCU that are set to join in on this super-sized endeavor. Speaking to The Happy Sad Confused Podcast, The Fantastic Four: First Steps star discussed what it was like to see the original star of the MCU in action and behind the scenes. 'He's the most incredible human being—soulful, deep, kind. He's been an amazing leader to us, considering we're the newbies, you know," she explained. "And a lot of the others have known this world for a really long time. He's just doing the most amazing work.' 'Spider-Man' and 'Fantastic Four' Could Finally Team Up in New Marvel Crossover
Johnny Storm wanted it, and now Marvel fans may get it. Joseph Quinn, who plays Johnny Storm in the new Fantastic Four: First Steps movie, has expressed his desire to team up with Tom Holland's Spider-Man. During a prior interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Quinn responded to a question about the comic book friendship between Storm and Peter Parker. 'That pairing makes sense to me and I think he's brilliant and I'm up for it,' Quinn said. 'I think we'd have a laugh. I've never met Tom and I think he's brilliant; his Peter Parker is the best one ever, I think he's our best-ever Spider-Man, so why not? Let's do it, get it moving.' While Quinn's comments drew plenty of attention, Marvel president Kevin Feige's recent roundtable interview also brought mention of a potential Johnny Storm-Peter Parker collaboration. As ScreenRant revealed, Feige called it a "blue sky dream" but one that's now "in the realm of possibility." "We didn't do chemistry reads, but whenever we cast it is with that blue sky dream in mind of one day being able to do that," Feige said. "And that's a great example. That's one of the key relationships in Marvel comics is Johnny Storm and Peter Parker." "And we've never been able to come close to it before and now it is in the realm of possibility. That's exciting. That gets me up in the morning." Holland first portrayed Spider-Man in the 2016 film Captain America: Civil War. 'Fantastic Four's' Vanessa Kirby on Robert Downey Jr.: ‘The Most Incredible Human Being'
Star of the newly released film Fantastic Four: First Steps, Vanessa Kirby, seems to be enjoying her new role as Sue Storm. Thus far, as a part of the Marvel universe, Kirby has only had rave reviews for her castmates throughout the process. While Kirby and on-screen husband Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards) spent plenty of time bonding ahead of Fantastic Four: First Steps filming, she's also gushed about Joseph Quinn (Human Torch) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm). Now, Kirby and the rest of the Fantastic Four will make the leap over to filming Avengers: Doomsday, the highly anticipated 2026 film. In doing so, Kirby is set to work alongside longtime Marvel star Robert Downey Jr., who'll portray the villain Doctor Doom. While speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Kirby had the highest of praise for Downey Jr., calling him an "incredible human being."
