Rihanna chose a very fashionable way to announce her third pregnancy: the 2025 Met Gala red carpet.
Tonight, the singer and Fenty founder showed off her baby bump in a Miu Miu dress as she departed the Carlyle Hotel to walk the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art on the first Monday in May.
After all, she had to show up and support her man, A$AP Rocky, one of the stylish co-chairs this year. And in typical Riri fashion, she did not disappoint with her own look.
Rihanna has always enjoyed a high-profile pregnancy moment: She announced her first while wearing a hot pink Chanel puffer jacket and ornate body chains—and a little over a month later she arrived at the Dior show wearing a sheer black lace babydoll dress that showed off both her stomach and her lingerie. 'When I found out I was pregnant, I thought to myself: There's no way I'm going to go shopping in no maternity aisle. I'm sorry—it's too much fun to get dressed up. I'm not going to let that part disappear because my body is changing,' she told Vogue at the time about her pregnancy style.
This will be her third child with A$AP Rocky—they already have an almost-three-year-old son, RZA, and a one-year-old son, Riot Rose.
As a seven-time Met Gala attendee, Rihanna is a seasoned pro at delivering a head-turning fashion moment on the Met steps. When she first attended in 2007, she went the more classic and glamorous route in a white empire-waist Georges Chakra dress replete with rhinestone embellishments. As the years have progressed, however, her Met Gala looks have only gotten more elaborate and avant-garde.
One of Rihanna's most famous Met Gala looks to date was back in 2015, when she hit the red carpet in a yellow Guo Pei coat-dress featuring an elaborate 16-foot train. In 2018, for 'Heavenly Bodies,' she made internet waves in a Maison Margiela papal look. For her most recent appearance, meanwhile—at the 2023 Karl Lagerfeld-themed exhibition—she chose a white Valentino floral cape and gown.
Tonight, however, she and Rocky proved yet again that the Met is their event. Everyone else just comes close.

Labubu doll fetches 1.08 million yuan at China auction as demand rages
[BEIJING] A human-sized Labubu doll fetched a whopping 1.08 million yuan (S$193,341) at an auction in Beijing, in a testament to the popularity of the collectible toy flaunted by celebrities. The one-of-a-kind mint green Labubu, a monster character created by Hong Kong-born artist Kasing Lung, went under the hammer at China's Yongle Auction house on Tuesday (Jun 10), along with 47 other Labubu collectible items. Another limited-edition brown Labubu was sold for 820,000 yuan, taking the total value of the sales to 3.73 million yuan, according to a local media report. The so-called world first auction of Labubu artwork attracted thousands of buyers on site and online, the report said. Pop Mart International Group, the Beijing-based maker of the toothy monster dolls, has seen its shares surge more than 180 per cent this year amid the craze for its soft toys seen carried by the likes of Rihanna and BlackPink's Lisa. Labubu fans are known to brave long queues and often ready to pay inflated prices to get their favourite toy. A Chinese bank recently used Labubu as free gifts to lure depositors, prompting the regulator to step in and ban such practices. Infant buyer The youngest registered buyer at Tuesday's auction was a nine-month infant, whose family bought a co-branded version of Labubu doll for 32,000 yuan in the baby's name, according to the report. The popularity of the toy has led brokerages to raise Pop Mart's price target. Deutsche Bank boosted its target for Pop Mart shares by 52 per cent to HK$303 (S$50), citing strong overseas growth momentum. Morgan Stanley lifted its target to HK$302 from HK$224, saying it should be valued at a similar level to Sanrio and Walt Disney. A-ha front man Morten Harket diagnosed with Parkinson's disease

In a statement on the band's website, and confirmed by record label Sony Music, Harket, 65, said he had undergone several rounds of brain surgery and that he was managing the symptoms of the disease. Parkinson's causes deterioration in the brain's nervous system, leading to tremors and other symptoms that can become progressively worse over time. The disease can be treated with surgery and medication, but there is no cure. Harket said he last year underwent neurological procedures to have electrodes implanted inside his brain and that this had reduced the symptoms. Known for the wide range of his voice, Harket said he did not know if he would be able to perform again. "I've got no problem accepting the diagnosis," he said, adding that it was difficult to balance medication and managing side effects of the treatment. "I'm trying the best I can to prevent my entire system from going into decline," Harket said. Formed in 1982 by Harket and his friends Paul Waaktaar-Savoy and Magne Furuholmen, A-ha saw a global breakthrough in 1985 with their debut album "Hunting High and Low" which yielded several hits such as "Take On Me" and "The Sun Always Shines on TV". "Take On Me" was recently featured in the second season of HBO's hit series "The Last of Us" when the main character Ellie, played by Bella Ramsey, performed an acoustic version of the song.
