New Post Office opens after previous branch closed
The Islingword Road Post Office has reopened at a new premises following its closure last July. The branch, which shut down after the postmaster resigned, relocated to Down Stores on Down Terrace, Brighton. It was renamed as Down Terrace Post Office. The new branch, which opened at 1pm on Tuesday, July 29, will be open from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday and from 9am to 1pm on Saturdays, providing 49 hours of service each week.
