DeKalb County announces indictments of gang members, 4 murder suspects on weapons, drug charges
Yesterday, the indictment came down on the following individuals:

Joshua Demarquis Thomas, 19
Naseem Umar Triplett, 21
Caleb Nehemiah Dudley, 20
Ashton Patrick George, 18
Jameel Thomas Jones, 23
Camryn Anaya Byrd, 24
John Ben Frazier, 22
Jerry Devaun Johnson, 25
Fratavic Trevorious Goodwin, 20
Donovan Logan, 19
Tyrique Thomas, 20
Daniel Kenneth Solomon, 23
Officials say the 17 defendants are indicted on four counts of violation of the street gang terrorism and prevention act, possession of a Schedule 1 controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a machine gun and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Hutton is also indicted on an additional charge of violation of the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, along with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
In April 2024, DeKalb County police were contacted by the Cedar Park police in Texas regarding four unidentified armed robbery suspects that might have connections in DeKalb County.
DKPD, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, ATF and CPD executed a search warrant at a home on Cleethropes Drive in Lithonia.

While executing the search warrant, law enforcement officials recovered 20 firearms, including fully automatic long guns, as well as illegal switches used to turn handguns into automatic weapons and extended magazines.
Police also discovered an illegal psychedelic mushroom growing operation and seized a significant amount of other drugs from the house.
Thomas, Johnson, and Goodwin are charged with armed robbery and felony murder for the April 4 murder of Nicholas Grierson, 27.

Woman leads GA deputies on 140-mph chase, uses blinker to follow move over law
Georgia deputies arrested an Ellenwood woman accused of leading them on a high-speed chase. But deputies say there was one law that she appeared to follow. Walker eventually caught up to Bazi. During the second part of the chase, the video showed Bazi use her blinker to follow the move over law for a driver who was on the side of the highway. Deputies said Bazi got out of her car and ran toward the woods, where she was Tased and arrested. She faces the following charges: fleeing and attempting to elude, reckless driving and obstruction. Amber Alert issued in GA for 2 missing FL children, may be traveling to Atlanta area
A Levi's Call, Georgia's version of an Amber Alert, was issued Tuesday for a missing 3-year-old and 11-year-old last seen in Tift County. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Akachi Turner, 11, and Aizon Turner, 3, were traveling in a black Toyota with front end damage at 8 a.m. Monday with Audrey Turner. The children are believed to be in extreme danger, the GBI said. People are urged to call 911 or the Riviera Beach Police Department at 561-845-4123. Akachi was wearing a black shirt, black pants and black Fila sneakers. Aizon was wearing a khaki shirt, khaki shorts and black light-up shoes with a red trim. Audrey Turner was wearing a black tank top, cream shirt with black stripes, a nose ring, and a pony tail. Direction of travel is unknown, but a previous Amber Alert in Florida said they may be heading to the Atlanta area. Akachi Turner is described as 5 feet tall, weighing 72 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Audrey Turner, a female, who is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. They also may be accompanied by an unknown female. They were last seen in Florida in Riviera Beach. The Florida alert was issued after the children were last seen in the area of the 1200th block of West 6th Street. 3-year-old boy killed by ‘physical force'; father arrested
A 3-year-old boy was killed, and his father was charged with his murder, police said. When they arrived, they found the child dead.
