Steelers Host Potential Aaron Rodgers Plan B Quarterback
While the team patiently waits for a decision from Aaron Rodgers, they're reportedly also looking at other options.

The Athletic's Mike DeFabo reported on Friday that the Steelers will host a former SEC signal caller in April.
"Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart has a Top 30 visit scheduled with the Pittsburgh Steelers in April, per league source," DeFabo posted on X.
Dart began at Southern Cal before transferring to Ole Miss in 2022. He broke Eli Manning's program's career passing record of 10,119 yards with 10,617 of his own.
His collegiate career completion percentage is an impressive 65.2.
The Steelers haven't given up on Rodgers, but even if they sign him, they would do well to have a younger option behind him. While the top two QBs taken in the draft are expected to be Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders, they most likely won't be there at No. 21 when the Steelers select.

Dart just might.
The Ole Miss product probably wouldn't be ready to walk into the building and be a Day 1 starter anyway. His game could develop behind a veteran like Rodgers or anyone else.

Steelers HC Mike Tomlin names 2 rookies who impressed him the most vs. Buccaneers
Despite the Pittsburgh Steelers falling short to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their second preseason matchup of 2025, HC Mike Tomlin was impressed with the Steel City rookies — specifically the team's top two selections from last April's draft. Following the Steelers' 14-17 preseason loss, Tomlin revealed to reporters which rookies impressed him the most: first-round DE Derrick Harmon and third-round RB Kaleb Johnson. 'Harmon and Kaleb Johnson really took a step forward off of their first performance,' Tomlin said Saturday's postgame press conference. 'But again, that's a reasonable thing to expect. Second time stepping into a stadium, you see more of their talents.' Tomlin hit the nail on the head — as Harmon bullied Buccaneers G Ben Scott on his way to earning his first sack as a Steeler, while Johnson exploded for 59 yards from scrimmage on just 12 touches. Steelers receive injury update on 3 players following preseason loss to Buccaneers
Injuries hit Pittsburgh hard throughout the preseason Week 2 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — and HC Mike Tomlin has provided an injury update on three Steelers.
