Best deals on home appliances in the Amazon Spring Sale

Independent25-03-2025
The Amazon Spring Sale has officially begun. Running until 31 March, the event could save you hundreds of pounds on some of our favourite buys across tech, beauty and more. But while they might not be as fancy as the other deals on offer, the best home appliance deals might be the best discounts around.
From vacuum cleaners to coffee machines, home appliances tend to see some of the steepest discounts during annual sale events, and the Spring Sale is no exception. Umming and ahhing over an air fryer? Considering a new coffee machine? Thinking about replacing a rubbish microwave? Now's the time to buy. You may not see prices this low for months, so if you've been waiting for the moment to take the plunge, now's the time.
Amazon stocks almost all of IndyBest's tried and tested home appliance brands, from Shark and Eufy to Morphy Richards and KitchenAid, but not every deal is worth buying. We've tested hundreds of these products, so we know exactly which products are worth buying - and which discounts are too good to be true.
I recommend bookmarking this guide, or any of our dedicated Amazon Spring Sale guides for that matter, which we'll be updating until the sale comes to a close. Without further ado, let's dive into the deals to shop now.
If you're in the market for a corded vacuum cleaner, this one from Shark is reduced by 33 per cent. It has a floorhead which is designed to move from carpets to hard floors, while its LED headlights will make dust and pet hair easier to see. The brand landed the top spot in our review of the best corded vacuums too, so you could do a lot worse than this model.
Landing a spot in our review of the best air fryers, our tester noted how they were 'seriously impressed with how well, and how quickly, this model cooks such a wide variety of foods'. Owing to the brand using its dual-zone technology, 'it comes with two independent cooking zones that allow you to cook two different types of food, at different temperatures, at the same time'. From reheating to roasting, there are seven cooking modes for making a whole host of dishes.
This air fryer 'gets the job done, plain and simple', according to our IndyBest reviewer Lauren Cunningham. The most intriguing feature is that it's able to neutralise cooking odours, preventing the whole house from smelling like chips. It's easy to use, too – Lauren found that the 'simple dial at the top was incredibly easy to use, and instead of selecting your food type, all you have to choose is the function, temperature and time, like a regular oven'. At Amazon, it's 40 per cent off.
Taking the top spot in our review of the best slow cookers, this cooking appliance from Crock-Pot is reduced by 20 per cent, bringing the price down to less than £80. 'You can take the bowl out of this slow cooker and use it on the hob, which cuts down on washing up and faff', our tester noted. Its 'huge oval bowl has a generous capacity and was perfect for feeding a crowd', and there's a 'timer and keep-warm options', so you can 'leave it to cook away and get on with other jobs'.
Our tech critic Steve Hogarty recommended this robot vacuum cleaner above all others in his review, and it has £200 off at Amazon. It's a 'really smart little vacuum that needs almost no human input to work', Steve said, noting its excellent mopping function and 'best-in-class object avoidance tech, which has been trained like a self-driving car, dodging more than 100 different objects, including cables, slippers and socks'.
If you're looking for a deal on a kettle, we don't think you'll be disappointed with this model from Russel Hobbs, which took the top spot in our tried and tested review. 'It's incredibly easy to use', said our tester, and has 'one of the widest ranges of all the options'. But the best part is the tea-making design – there's a removable tea infuser basket which was 'perfect for loose-leaf teas', and 'has a three-minute steep function'. With this Amazon deal, it's nearly 30 per cent off.
Dubbed the best heated clothes airer for families in our review, Black+Decker's three-tier heated airer 'can handle a full washing machine load of clothes and more', said our IndyBets tester, Zoe Griffin. 'The rails are spaced out more than on other rail-based airer models, which makes arranging clothes over it fast and simple', she explained, while the airer is lightweight, making it 'impressively portable'. Invest in the model with this deal and you'll secure a £45 saving.
In her review of the best microwaves, IndyBest tester Rachael Penn dubbed this model the best for large families – and with this deal, you can save 33 per cent on the kitchen appliance. 'With a large 32l capacity, it's big enough to fit a whole chicken in, so you can cook almost anything in it', she said.
One of the more affordable coffee machines we've tried, Bosch's my way 2 is now even cheaper. In her review, product tester Zoë Phillimore found that it 'has lots of features found on bigger ticket coffee machines.' It's fitted with a Brita water filter, which means less limescale in your coffee. It's great for families, too - it can be programmed to remember up to four drinks, so everyone's favourite coffee is ready to go at the touch of a button.
This deal will save you cash on one of our favourite tried and tested hand blenders. Our tester Jessica found that Dualit's hand blender set has a 'lightweight and compact design', so it 'can fit in a drawer or cupboard fairly easily'. Jessica was 'impressed with its chopping power on onions using the chopper bowl attachment, finely cutting the onion without pulverising it into a paste.' While it isn't up to sturdier vegetables, it was good for 'making chunky dips or purees for weaning babies'.
Dupray neat steam cleaner: Was £229.99, now £159.99,
'This may be our new favourite home appliance' – high praise from Zoe, whose tests found that this to be the best steam cleaner you can buy. 'It has a telescopic handle for carrying it around, and the cord wraps under the unit, so it's all neat and tidy', she said, while it also comes with two retractable handles for mopping and for cleaning high places. Zoe said it has 'five nozzle brushes, including one for cleaning brass, such as barbecue and oven racks – genius.' You can get £70 off right now.
What is the Amazon Spring Sale?
Amazon's Spring Deal Days sale has taken place in mid to late March for the last three years. Unlike Amazon's Prime Day, you don't need an Amazon Prime subscription to secure any of the offers. That being said, the free next-day delivery that comes with a Prime account may be handy throughout the event, especially as you can get a free 30-day trial. Just remember to cancel it when you no longer want it, as beyond the 30-day trial period it will cost £8.99 per month, or £95 per year.
When is the Amazon Spring Sale in 2025?
The Amazon Spring Sale started on 25 March and will run until 31 March.
What were the best deals in last year's Amazon Spring Sale?
Most of our favourite tried and tested brands slashed prices last year. If you were after a new vacuum cleaner, Shark's anti hairwrap upright vacuum cleaner (£140.56, Amazon.co.uk) was reduced to £149, down from £299.99. If you had a new microwave on your wishlist, you could have nabbed a Panasonic steam combination microwave (£389.99, Amazon.co.uk) with nearly £90 off. Meanwhile, keen bakers could have saved nearly £150 on the KitchenAid black classic stand mixer (was £499, now £429.75, Amazon.co.uk).

Amazon slashes £450 ‘powerhouse' laptop to just £230 – and it's ideal for students

SHOPPERS are raving about this uni-friendly tech deal, and it's well worth a look. The top-rated Jumper S7 15.6-inch laptop is now just £230 on Amazon, down from the usual £450. That's a hefty 49% discount on a laptop that packs some serious everyday power. Granted, Jumper might not be a household name, which explains the handful of reviews. But, with a perfect 5-star rating, it's clear it's something of a hidden gem. You get 4GB of high-speed RAM, 128GB storage and a 512GB TF card expansion. That's plenty of room to run multiple programmes without your laptop sounding like it's about to take off. For students, that means jumping between research tabs, lecture slides and last-minute essays without the dreaded lag. Better still, it comes with a one-year pre-installed Office 365 subscription (worth £89.99). That's Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook all included, so you can get stuck into coursework from day one, with no faffing over extra downloads or hidden costs. The 15.6-inch screen is a decent size at this price point; big enough for comfortable working and perfect for streaming your favourite shows after class. One reviewer raves: 'I was a bit sceptical about buying a laptop from a brand I wasn't familiar with, but I'm so glad I took the chance The same shopper continued, "This is a powerhouse for everyday use and an incredible value.' Another parent wrote: 'Gave it to my son for university activities. Speedy and reliable.' At just 3.6 lbs, it's light enough to slip into your tote or backpack without putting your back out. And you won't be tethered to a wall socket either. The 5,000mAh battery typically lasts six to eight hours, so you can work through lectures and still have juice left for Netflix. One shopper summed it up perfectly: 'It is light enough to carry around all day and the battery easily lasts for hours.' It's also kitted out with multi-functional ports, including Type-C, USB 3.0, Mini HDMI, and a headphone jack. If you're heading off to uni, pair it with one of the best extension leads I've tested to give your dorm a few extra ports. When is Black Friday 2025? Plus best deals to expect

Dare we say it, but with autumn just around the corner, you might already be thinking ahead to Black Friday and Christmas shopping. Last year, there were hundreds of discounts on major brands across tech, TVs, laptops, gaming, beauty, sleep and lots more. Some products dropped to their lowest ever price, making it a great time to save on Christmas gifts or treat yourself to your wishlist items. Whether you're looking for a Ninja air fryer, Shark cordless vacuum, Simba mattress, Lego set, Charlotte Tilbury products or new Apple AirPods, many of the biggest brands and retailers are set to reduce the prices of popular products. The IndyBest team and I are going to be tracking all of the best deals in the run-up to and during the sales event, but in the meantime, here's what to expect from Black Friday 2025. When is Black Friday 2025? Black Friday starts on Friday 28 November 2025, and runs until Cyber Monday on Monday 1 December. As we've seen in previous years, many retailers start their sales as early as the beginning of November. I'll keep this page up to date from now until the official sales start, so you can stay across the best early Black Friday discounts as soon as they arrive. What is Black Friday? Black Friday is the biggest sales event of the year. It falls on the fourth Friday of November, the day after Thanksgiving in the US, and is seen as the best time to snap up deals ahead of Christmas. Typically, discounts will continue right through the weekend, until Cyber Monday. We often see popular products, such as the Apple AirPods Pro 2 or Meta Quest 3, reduced to their lowest ever price, making it an ideal time to save on bestsellers. What are the best brands to shop on Black Friday? Some brands host just a couple of sales during the year, and Black Friday is often their biggest. If you want to bag a rare bargain, I recommend making a beeline for brands and retailers such as Pandora, Shark, Dyson, Nintendo, Ninja and Sonos. Apple is also one to watch, with Cyber Monday being the best time to save on the tech giant at third-party retailers such as Amazon, John Lewis and Carphone Warehouse. When it comes to variety and choice, Amazon and John Lewis are your best bets. The retailers sell everything from beauty and fashion to tech, so you can tick off your Christmas shopping list all in one go and save on multiple shipping fees. If you're after beauty, Boots is the place to shop, while Currys should be your go-to for appliances, and head to Amazon for tech. How to avoid fake deals Black Friday is a good time to snap up discounts on items that have been on your wishlist for a while, but it pays to do your research. While there are plenty of bargains on offer, some deals are not as generous as they seem at first. The prices of electric toothbrushes, for example, fluctuate throughout the year, often swinging between full price and half price from week to week. A half-price toothbrush deal on Black Friday might be closer to its normal price than it appears. If you know ahead of the sale that there's a particular product you want to buy, check its usual price with online price checking tools like camelcamelcamel (for Amazon products) or PriceRunner. I'd also suggest comparing prices across multiple retailers before jumping on the first Black Friday or Cyber Monday offer you see. Here at IndyBest, the rest of the team and I keep track of prices throughout the year, so we can spot a decent deal from a dud. Keep an eye on our Black Friday and Cyber Monday guides for top offers on tried-and-tested products. Why you can trust us to find the best Black Friday deals The IndyBest reviews experts and I track the price of popular products year-round. We've covered Black Friday and other major sales events for years, so we know how to spot a good deal from a bad one. On top of knowing our way around a sale, we are experts in our fields. We've spent countless hours testing and reviewing everything from phones and laptops to beauty products, mattresses, air fryers and toys. Within our Black Friday guides, we only recommend deals on products we've tried and tested, from brands we trust. That means we bring you genuine savings on products we think you'll love as much as we do. Here's what you can expect to find a Black Friday deal on: Tech critic David Phelan says that the AirPods Pro 2 earbuds offer a 'significant improvement over the already-splendid first-generation model.' In his review, David's tests found that you get six hours' use on a single charge, and there are touch controls on the buds themselves, so you can adjust the volume without having to take your phone out of your pocket. You'll also get a MagSafe case with a lanyard loop, for easy charging and storage. The wireless headphones were reduced to their lowest ever price in last year's Black Friday sale, so I'm keeping an eye out for more price drops in the lead up to the next one. 'If you're looking for a sleep tracker, activity tracker or just want to know as much as you can about your body, then the gen 3 Oura ring will tick a lot of your boxes, in one tiny package,' said Emilie Lavinina, our fitness and wellbeing editor. In her review of the device, E was impressed with its battery life and sleep insights, as well as fertility and period tracking. It's rare to see a discount on the smart ring, but last Black Friday, John Lewis reduced it by £50. I'll be sure to let you know if there are similar discounts available this year. Last year saw the release of the PS5 Pro, just weeks before Black Friday. The EE Store cut the price of the games console by £36 in its Black Friday sale, and right now there's an even bigger saving. I'm expecting further discounts when the sale rolls around in November. Boasting 8K graphics, 2TB of storage for even more games, improved ray tracing and upscaling through Sony's PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) technology, it's a powerhouse of a games console. Ninja had some excellent discounts over the Amazon Prime Day sale in July, so I'm hoping to see more on Black Friday. One appliance to keep an eye out for is the double stack air fryer. In her review, our tester Katie found it 'a strong, space-saving option for smaller kitchens.' In July, the regular-sized model (7.6l) was reduced to £199, so expect even more discounts in the lead-up to Christmas. Considered the best ereader in our review, The Independent 's tech critic David Phelan loved this device. David explained: 'Unlike other Kindles, this one uses a newer type of e-ink, which offers a faster page turn and smoother transitions'. It was reduced to its cheapest ever price in last November's sale, so it's worth waiting for another price cut this year. 'The Meta Quest 3 is an astounding virtual-reality headset, and is arguably the best consumer VR device currently out there,' said Senior tech critic, Alex Lee. In his review, Alex found that 'With full-colour passthrough, a faster processor, a more comfortable and ergonomic fit, as well as better hand tracking and, of course, those sweet, sweet pancake lenses that make everything so much more stable, this is the VR headset to beat.' The price of the headset has dropped since the last Black Friday sale to £469.99. Right now, the cheapest you'll find it for is at the EE store, with a small £10 discount. If you're buying it as a Christmas gift, I recommend holding out for Black Friday, as there's likely to be a better discount. One of my favourite beauty cleansers, Elemis' pro-collagen cleansing balm has reached cult status for good reason. While it needs very little introduction, it landed a spot in beauty expert Louise 's review of the best cleansing balms. She noted that after she'd removed the product from her face, her skin 'felt soft and smooth, with a subtle glow that you often find after having a facial. There's a tiny 6 per cent saving now, but it's often discounted during big sales events – for example, it was reduced to £35 in Amazon's July Prime Day sale. I'll be sure to let you know if the price drops again this year. Our tech writer Steve has tested all of the best electric toothbrushes, and he found this one the smartest choice for most people. It's not the fanciest toothbrush around, but it doesn't have to be. Steve says that it 'balances powerful cleaning action with an affordable price'. Right now, the toothbrush is on sale for £34.89, but that's not far off its most common sales price of £45. Don't believe the Amazon or Boots listing that has this brush at £100, as it hasn't been this expensive in years. As is often the case with electric toothbrushes, this is a discount that never really disappears. If the price drops even more, I'll be sure to let you know.

'Easy set up' home treadmill that 'saves buying gym membership' now under £100

"I am so pleased that I did buy this instead of paying £30 a month for gym membership." It's not easy to fit trips to the gym into our schedules three our four times a week. And sometimes paying for a membership can feel like throwing money away. But for those looking to venture into home workouts which can be done at any point in the day or even in front of the telly, a top-rated home treadmill is currently on offer on Amazon. And what's more, it's under £100. The UMAY Walking Pad Treadmill with 9 per cent Incline usually retails at a whopping £179.99, but shoppers can currently grab it at a 44 per cent discount on Amazon for £99.99, offering a saving of £80 for a limited time only. Walking or running on an incline helps accelerate calorie burn, enhances fat-burning effects, and supports better body shaping, allowing exercisers to achieve their fitness goals faster. The walking pad with incline is equipped with a high-power motor, making workouts noise-free, and it can fit under a desk when in use to allow for working or browsing the internet while exercising. UMAY Walking Pad Treadmill with 9% Incline £179.99 £99.99 Amazon Shop Product Description The treadmill's brushless motor extends its lifespan to four times that of a brushed motor, while its energy consumption is only a quarter of that of other motors, rendering the product both eco-friendly and cost-effective, according to its product description. Equipped with a high-definition display screen that shows real-time data, including time, speed, distance, and calories burned, the gadget provides clear feedback on workout progress, helping to track performance, as well as boost motivation and results. It also features an efficient shock absorption system that can reduce the ground impact on the body by up to 30 per cent, protecting the knees and spine, and reducing the risk of injury. Those browsing alternative home treadmills may opt for the Opti Motorized Walking Folding Treadmill on Argos for £299, or the discounted Horizon Fitness Evolve 3.0 Treadmill with Bluetooth, now £499 down from £699. But fitness fanatics adore the discounted Amazon treadmill, which has raked in some glowing reviews. One happy customer said: "I have noticed a real difference after I have used this product every time I am so pleased that I did buy this instead of paying £30 a month for gym membership, value for money." Another added: "Easy set up, easy to use, worth the money" and a third added: "It's very quiet, even at the highest speeds, and the motor is sufficiently powerful." But not everyone was pleased with the product, as one unhappier customer said: "Do not order from this company. Their products are not sent as promised, their communication team is outsourced, unresponsive, and unable to solve basic problems with their faulty equipment." Yet another satisfied shopper said: "It's very quiet, it's everything they said it is." The treadmill can be purchased on Amazon with the limited-time discount.
