RCMP arrest final suspect in armed Fort Smith home invasion

Northwest Territories RCMP say they have arrested the last of three suspects wanted in connection with an armed home invasion in Fort Smith in May.
Police arrested the 25-year-old at the Super 8 in Yellowknife at around 10:50 a.m. Monday, RCMP said in a news release Monday.
They arrested the first of the suspects on May 8, and a second individual turned himself into police on May 12, they said.
Fort Smith RCMP received a report on May 5 that three men had broken into a home on St. Ann Street in Fort Smith and threatened to shoot the occupant approximately two hours prior to the call.
One of the suspects was reported to have brandished a gun.
No one was injured during this incident.
The 25-year-old suspect is charged with
Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Carrying a concealed weapon
Possession of a firearm while knowing possession is unauthorized
Possession of a weapon contrary to a weapons prohibition order
Three counts of failure to comply with a probation order
Breaking and entering with intent
Using a firearm in the commission of an offence
Two counts of uttering threats
Mischief under $5,000
Intimidation
Failure to comply with undertaking
The suspect has been remanded in custody and will appear before a Justice of the Peace, police said.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir praised the security personnel involved in the operation, saying, 'This is the policy – acting with determination, on the ground, with zero tolerance, and the results speak for themselves..' Later on Tuesday afternoon, police arrested three Palestinian illegal residents who were discovered in a transport truck. The driver and the owner of the cargo were also detained for questioning. A fourth Palestinian was also arrested, but police found that he had a valid residence permit. The other three were interrogated at the Modi'in Illit police station and later jailed at Ofer Prison.
