Wrong-way suspect driver arrested in Colorado, facing charges in deaths of couple killed
Colson is facing the following charges: two counts of vehicular homicide, two counts of vehicular homicide- reckless driving, reckless endangerment, reckless driving, driving motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs or both, driving the wrong way on a divided highway.
Michael and Debbie Carman were both killed in the crash. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said the crash involved five people in three separate cars.
Colorado State Patrol said the crash was caused by the driver of an Acura RL driving the wrong way in the northbound lanes. That driver, later identified as Colson, struck two cars and was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Investigators said Colson struck one car, and that other driver was taken to the hospital "as a precautionary measure," according to CSP. Then a third car, with a male driver and female passenger- Michael and Debbie Carman- was struck. Both were killed.

Northern Colorado thrift store looking for rightful owner after valuables accidentally donated
A thrift store in northern Colorado is hoping to find a woman they say accidentally donated highly valuable items earlier this year. The Loveland Police Department said the woman donated a couple of small bags of items to the Arc Thrift Store around lunchtime on Jan. 16. The bags were kept in the store's storage area for several weeks until staff could process them. When staff went to inspect the donations, they reportedly discovered some highly valuable items hidden inside a box inside one of the bags. The thrift store staff believe these items were donated by mistake, and they notified the Loveland Police Department in the hopes they could find the owner. After checking through surveillance footage, police believe they found footage of the person who made the donation. Authorities said the woman was driving a dark-colored, newer model Hyundai Palisade with a black Colorado custom license plate. They encouraged anyone who can help identify the owner to contact the police department at (970) 667-2151. "♥️ This story has the potential for an incredible ending, and we are eager to surprise the owner with the return of something truly special and incredibly valuable," the department said on its Facebook page.

Violent, unruly passenger on flight to L.A. restrained twice, arrested
A Breeze Airways flight headed for Los Angeles on Wednesday was forced to divert to Colorado after a reportedly intoxicated passenger began starting fights with flight attendants and other passengers, the company confirmed to KTLA. The offending suspect, a man wearing a dark shirt and a baseball cap, later identified as L.A. resident David Leroy Carter, was yelling racial slurs and swinging a skateboard and a belt, according to witnesses on the flight. 'I stayed calm the entire time and when he threw a bunch of trash on the floor and used some racial slurs toward a flight attendant, it made me a bit upset and I told him to calm down,' passenger Jason Murchison explained. Flight attendants were eventually able to subdue the man, but said he managed to break free of his restraints twice. 'She wanted to try to restrain him and was like, 'Can anybody help?' and the big guy was sitting right behind him, he was like, 'Oh, no problem,'' another passenger said. Breeze Airways confirmed the incident in a statement to KTLA, saying in a statement: 'A passenger onboard initiated a physical altercation with other guests and flight attendants. One flight attendant and one guest were evaluated for minor injuries. The crew was forced to make an emergency landing in Grand Junction, Colorado, where police were waiting on the tarmac.' So far this year, the FAA has recorded 1,000 unruly passenger incidents and like Wednesday's ordeal, some of them have disrupted and delayed a plane full of passengers. Motorcyclist killed in crash on Hampden Avenue: Police
DENVER (KDVR) — Police are investigating a deadly motorcycle crash that occurred on Sunday night, according to a post on X from the Denver Police Department. The crash involved multiple vehicles and a motorcycle, police said. Polis declares emergency after wildfire balloons in 6 hours The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene. East Hampden Avenue near South Yosemite Street is closed in both directions while investigators are on the scene.
