Risca Beach Party attracted almost 2,000 people this year
The free event saw the return of the 'giant urban beach', and offered a range of free activities including donkey rides, craft workshops, and an exotic animal experience.
Stalls selling hot food, drinks, and crafts lined the park, with community information provided to visitors.
Local businesses said they benefitted from the increased footfall, with Risca's high street attracting more attention.
Councillor Jamie Pritchard, deputy leader and cabinet member for prosperity, regeneration and climate change at Caerphilly County Borough Council, said: "It's fantastic to see events like this bringing people into our town centres and supporting local businesses.
"The community really got behind the Risca Beach Party again this year, and we're proud to keep delivering fun, family-focused events that help our high streets thrive."
Sergeant Liam Brown from Gwent Police added: "It was a great turn-out at the annual event, and a great opportunity for myself and the neighbourhood team to speak to residents, traders and visitors, and share some of the work we're doing to keep Risca and the wider community safe."
Risca will next host a Food Feastival later in the year, with more details to follow.

Caerphilly Town 2035 plan: Residents to have their say
Residents in Caerphilly are sharing their ideas for the long-term regeneration of the town centre's 'Top of Town' area as part of the Caerphilly Town 2035 project, with a series of public engagement events running throughout the summer. The scheme focuses on the upper Cardiff Road area, from the train station to the Twyn, and aims to gather feedback from people of all ages to inform future development. The engagement programme, called the Festival of Ideas, began in early August and includes a range of events leading up to a public finale on September 6. Ceri, founder and chairperson of Valley Daffodils, a charity supporting individuals with disabilities and additional learning needs, said: "It's really encouraging and important to see inclusivity built into the plans for Caerphilly Town 2035. "This makes it even more important that this demographic is consulted and included in any plans that will affect the day-to-day of all who live in, work in, and visit Caerphilly. "Valley Daffodils have been really grateful to be involved at various stages of the community engagement work done behind the scenes of the placemaking plan, and we're really excited to see how the town evolves as a result of the Festival of Ideas." The festival is designed to reach groups often underrepresented in planning discussions, including young people, families, and those with disabilities. The final event will take place in Y Banc and Windsor and Stockland Square on September 6. A spokesman for Caerphilly County Borough Council said: "The Caerphilly Town 2035 plan has been bringing ambitious revitalisation to make Caerphilly the very best place to live, work, and visit it possibly can. "To build on our success further, we are once again asking for your input to create the Caerphilly you want to see."
