WWE fans furious as surprise return gets 'spoiled' hours before tonight's Raw

Metro19-05-2025

WWE has announced a major return for tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw with just hours to go.
There's not long to wait until the weekly show gets underway live on Netflix at 1am, with the Money In The Bank qualifiers set to continue on the red brand's final show before Saturday Night's Main Event this weekend.
Earlier in the evening, WWE's social media accounts posted a video of Kairi Sane, who has been out of action due to injury since December 2024.
Alongside a video of the former Women's Tag Team Champion arriving at the arena, WWE wrote: 'Woah! 😳 @KAIRI_official is here in Greenville ahead of #WWERaw! 👀'
In a separate video, Raw general manager Adam Pearce confirmed Kairi will be in action against Zoey Stark and Rhea Ripley in a Women's Money In The Bank qualifying match.

More than six months after her last match, Kairi's poised for a comeback – but it won't be the kind of surprise return WWE has done so well over the years.
While fans are undoubtedly excited to have the Pirate Princess back in the fold, plenty of people wished her appearance hadn't been revealed ahead of time.
'Why wasn't this made a surprise?? 😭😭,' cried @SethJoseph95, while @EpicArtsii added: 'Happy to see her return but this could have been a surprise.'
'Should have been a surprise, but happy to see my sky pirate back on action. Now if only we could get Asuka back too then we will be cooking with gas,' wrote @RockyOkamiVT
And @ForeverBlue_07 complained: 'Nahhhh why will you spoil it like this?'
Others are already calling for Kairi to go all the way and win the Money In The Bank briefcase in a few weeks.
Fan @tigeyyy234 tweeted: 'What a great news and u guys still complaining at least she is returning guys I am excited 😍🥳 Less go. Kairi for MITB briefcase. (sic)'
And the appropriately named @KairisVotage agreed: 'KAIRI TAKING THAT BRIEFCASE HOME!!!!!'

Elsewhere on tonight's Raw, a second Women's Money In The Bank Qualifier has been announced.
Becky Lynch is looking to keep her own comeback on track, but she'll have to beat Roxanne Perez and Natalya to secure her spot.
In the main event tonight, World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso will face Bron Breakker in a non-title bout, while the champ's Saturday Night's Main Event opponent Logan Paul is in the building.
The next WWE Saturday Night's Main Event special takes place this weekend on Saturday, May 25 at 1am. More Trending
Rather than the usual Netflix live streams, UK fans will be able to watch the show live on YouTube.
Here is the current card: World Heavyweight Title : Jey Uso (c) vs. Logan Paul
: Jey Uso (c) vs. Logan Paul Non-title : WWE Champion John Cena vs. R-Truth
: WWE Champion John Cena vs. R-Truth CM Punk and Sami Zayn vs. Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker

Alison Hammond shuts down bizarre pregnancy claim in best way possible

Alison Hammond has shut down speculation that she's pregnant in the most hilarious way possible after false rumours spread online. The Great British Bake-Off and This Morning host, 50, has reportedly been the subject of false AI-generated stories that are claiming she's with child. Alison has one child – her son Aidan who was born in 2005 – but she appears to be determined not to have any more if her latest comments are anything to go by. Naturally, Alison has responded to the pregnancy rumours with good spirit and humour, taking to social media to deny them in the best way possible. Posting to her Instagram account, which has 1.7 million followers, she said: 'Lots of AI stories online about me being pregnant, I can confirm I am not having a baby.' She continued: '[I'm definitely not pregnant] as I'm not sure my 50-year-old womb could take it. However, I do think we should all dance like Meghan.' To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video The statement was accompanied by a video of Alison dancing around her living room after stuffing her dress with a giant pillow to mimic a pregnant belly. Referencing the already famous video of Meghan Markle dancing while heavily pregnant with daughter Princess Lillibet, Alison busted a move or two while waving her hands in the air like she just didn't care. In the video, which was taken four years ago, the heavily pregnant Duchess of Sussex is shown dancing in a hospital room to the sound of Starrkeisha song Baby Momma. Meghan posted on her Instagram to celebrate Lili's fourth birthday on Wednesday, writing: 'Four years ago today, this also happened. 'Both of our children were a week past their due dates – so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work – there was only one thing left to do!' The happy video has (of course) drawn some criticism on social media after Meghan was seen to twerk at one point, with online users criticising her behaviour. For Metro, Kirsty Ketley argued back: '[The video] shows something powerful: joy. A woman, supported by her partner, using music and laughter to cope with one of the most intense moments of their life.' Commenting on Alison's video, Bryony Gordon called Alison 'our queen' while Lisa Snowden applauded, celebrated, and laughed at the clip with a group of emojis. More Trending Scottish radio presenter Jenni Falconer commented saying 'You are just brilliant' and added three big love hearts in her message to Alison. Alison's son Aidan, now 19, was born in 2005 when the Big Weekend presenter was engaged to Noureddine Boufaied – the couple split in 2014. She confessed, 'I felt that failure with [Noureddine] when we broke up, but he moved on and has three other kids now and they are part of our life,' but revealed that they have successfully co-parented over the years. ‘Omg hope there are more' – Samantha Irvin turns heads while going braless after quitting WWE for music career

SAMANTHA Irvin still has wrestling fans singing along to her beat despite quitting WWE. Irvin, 36, left her career in the ring to chase her music dream. 2 But her Instagram page is still music to the ears of her adoring fans. Real name Samantha Johnson, the former ring announcer has provided regular updates on her new venture. One of her most popular posts remains her "hump day dump" from last summer. She posed in a denim jacket while seemingly not wearing a bra underneath. And her revealing post left fans desperate for more. But wrestling fans will have to stay tuned to her music career for any more updates. Samantha received her big break when she was hired by the WWE as a ring announcer for WWE 205 Live in April 2021. She initially tried out to be a wrestler but was unsuccessful in the quest. After receiving her ring name, Irvin, she later went on to serve as a announcer for WWE NXT. Samantha became a ring announcer for WWE Smackdown on Fox in January 2022. WWE legend's daughter tearing it up in her own sport as she wins FOURTH successive title And she then took over on Raw by February 2023 as her star continued to rise. Irvin's performances drew praise from the likes of legendary ring announcer Michael Buffer. But her departure from WWE was confirmed last October as she turned her attentions to music. Samantha had a desire to become an entertainment star from a young age, starting off as the Drama Club director at Normandin Middle School for a few years. After trying out for America's Got Talent a number of times, she got her break in 2015. She impressed the judges with her performance of Aretha Franklin's (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman. Samantha was eliminated after the semifinals of the competition. But America's Got Talent provided a valuable springboard for her career. 'It was the best experience of my life, honestly," she told the New York Post. "I really felt like I can do this now."

We Tried The Lululemon Maxi Dress Everyone's Obsessed With – And Yes, It's Worth the Hype

What's the most fashion forward dress you can wear this summer? That viral Nobody's Child polka dot dress? A celeb-approved Dôen dress? Neither, actually, if the internet is to be believed. No, it would seem that the dress of the season is a maxi from Lululemon. You might be more familiar with Lululemon as the go-to spot for buttery soft Align leggings and athleisure sets that take you from Pilates to brunch with ease, but the activewear brand evidently has a few more tricks up its sleeve. The most recent addition that's calling our attention is the brand's 2-in-1 maxi dress. Unlike most dresses we wax lyrical about, the Lululemon 2-in-1 maxi is simple and largely devoid of intricate details and trendy patterns. Yet, it more than manages to justify its £128 price tag thanks to its genius versatile design. As the name suggests, the dress can be worn two ways: as a strapless drop-waist maxi, and as a long skirt with the bodice folded over. As well as offering an easy blank canvas that can be dressed up or down with ease, the maxi dress also benefits from the brand's activewear know-how and is crafted from its signature four-way stretch, sweat-wicking and naturally breathable fabric that feels luxe while keeping you comfortable and looks good on an array of body types. ©Instagram/@christinalasekstyling 2-in-1 Maxi Dress in Green I could go on and on about how effortlessly elegant and wearable the Lululemon maxi dress is, but that's no use to you without some styling guidance, and the multi-wear dress presents an array of styling options. On our Instagram feeds, influencers are sporting the strapless dress with a raffia bag and wedge heels or suede sandals for a relaxed sunny day. Of course, you could also lean into the athleisure of it all and wear the dress with a denim jacket and chunky trainers or dress it up with kitten heels and plenty of gold jewellery. As a skirt, it'll work wonders with a baby tee and elevated flip flops on holiday, while a boho blouse and cowboy boots will put you in a festival state of mind no matter if you're heading to Glastonbury or not. The Lululemon website proclaims that the dress is 'voted most versatile', and if I'm being honest, we're inclined to agree. As with most viral hits, the 2-in-1 maxi is also selling out fast, so if you manage to find your size in stock, we suggest you skip the hesitation. Trust us, this is a dress you'll be wearing multiple ways for years to come. 2-in-1 Maxi Dress in Black 2-in-1 Maxi Dress in Brown 2-in-1 Maxi Dress in Ivory Main image credits: ©Instagram/@meg_legs @iamcarissarenee Hitanshi Kamdar is a senior commerce writer for Grazia.
