STRICTLY Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke has opened up about his wife Hannah Summers' deeply harrowing experience with endometriosis and the effect it had on their journey to parenthood.
The 59-year-old, who recently joined Celebrity Gogglebox, got married to marketing executive Hannah in 2017 and the pair welcomed their twins George and Henrietta through IVF.

Now Anton has revealed that his spouse had big reservations about her ability to start a family as a result of her condition.
While appearing on Giovanna Fletcher's Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast, the BBC One star expressed: 'I knew I wanted to be with her, I saw her with her nephews. She's so kind and so caring, I just couldn't understand the universe.
'And whoever is upstairs, if anyone's upstairs, looking down and going 'you are the most perfect person to have children, but I'm not going to let you have any children because I'm going to give you this'.
"And I'm going to say 'you're going to have this endometriosis, and you're going to suffer with this all of your life, chronically, and I'm not going to let you have any children.
"I thought that was peculiar, cruel, and inexplicable and unforgivable. And if ever I go up to somewhere and meet this person I would say 'I think you're not OK with decisions like this, this doesn't make any sense to me,' he lamented.
The dancer went on to praise women for the things they have to go through with their bodies and health and shared his sadness about not being able to take Hannah's pain away.
He continued: 'Then we went through the process of IVF, well crying out loud. You girls are extraordinary. As much as I want to get involved, all I can do is hold your hand.
'It makes me emotional every time I talk about it. The injections, the stress, the anxiety. I have anxiety and stress but it's not my body.
"She has these injections and the bruises in the bum, in the thigh, in the stomach. And you're trying to help but what can you do?
'Whatever you want, tell me and I'll do it but that's all you have and it's horrendous as a man to watch it.
Fuming Strictly viewers accuse 'mean' judge Anton DuBeke of being 'horrible' to celeb - did you spot it?
'You feel so inadequate and you want to do so much more but I can't do anything. And that's why you girls are so extraordinary, you're extraordinary that you do all this stuff."
Anton and Hannah were fortunate enough to conceive after their first round of IVF and are now a happy family of four.
This isn't the first time Anton has opened up about Hannah's endometriosis as he discussed her battle while appearing on Loose Women in 2020.
He told the ladies: 'For a woman, it affects the quality of your life to a degree because it sort of comes in three parts.
"First, there's the excruciating pain, second there's the swelling. It sometimes makes you look like you're pregnant, which is quite a perverse thing because people come up to you and say 'congratulations' and you're like 'actually, no'.'

Myleene Klass warns she 'has receipts' as she breaks silence on ex-husband's affair with fellow celeb

Myleene Klass has broken her silence on social media after revealing the moment she caught her ex-husband cheating on her in her own home with another female celebrity. Myleene Klass has warned she "has the receipts" as she thanked fans for their support after opening up about being cheated on by her ex-husband. The former Hear'Say singer, 47, told fans she had "found my voice and it's clear, unapologetic and brutally honest" after recalling the unforgettable moment when she caught her ex-husband Graham Quinn cheating on her with another celebrity during her own birthday party. ‌ On the We Need To Talk podcast, the Loose Women star retold the shocking incident that took place at her own home before their nuptials. Myleene revealed: "I walked in on him with a famous person on my birthday on a balcony. I'm in my house, it's my party. They weren't having sex, but they were unzipping each other". ‌ In response to the horrifying betrayal, Myleene explained: "I kicked everybody out of the party – including his mum and dad." The identity of the celebrity was not disclosed but Myleene hinted that this woman was known for cultivating "a family brand." ‌ Fans have been begging Myleene to expose who the unknown celeb was as the mum-of-three has spoken out about the reaction to her revelations, the Mirror reports. Writing on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Myleene said: "Wow. What a week it's been! Firstly, thank you. I have quite literally tens of thousands of messages of love and support for me and my family. ‌ "I took a long time to learn there's strength in vulnerability. In a varied week where my interview with @paulcbrunson and @needtotalk went viral and reached the people who needed to hear it, where I was part of the incredible @stjohn_ambulance team who helped to save a persons life and where my children and I somehow managed to rescue our passports from the bottom of the Adriatic, it's been a mixed bag!" She continued: "All this to say, at 47, I've finally found my voice and it's clear, unapologetic and brutally honest. "To those that fear its truth, you probably have reason to, I have receipts, to those that need to hear it, I've got you and I fully intend to continue using it to change the laws and legislation that neglect women and children in this country and around the world." ‌ Myleene concluded with the bible quote "And the truth will set you free' John 8.32,' before adding her own words: 'And then some." After the incident with the unnamed female celebrity took place, Myleene said that her ex-husband pleaded for her forgiveness and blamed his actions on alcohol. ‌ Speaking to Paul on his podcast, Myleene said she has come to terms with the past ordeal, despite it turning her life "upside down". Myleene and Graham, who was once her bodyguard, began their relationship during her time with Hear'Say and were together for six years before welcoming their daughter Ava in 2007. They welcomed their second daughter, Hero Harper, in 2011, which was the same year they got married. ‌ However, Graham exited their marriage just six months in, leading to their divorce in 2013. Myleene opened up about her gut-wrenching feeling before her doomed wedding, confessing that "something didn't feel right". ‌ Recalling the night before the ceremony, she said: "I was in the bath and I was just sobbing." She also described the nuptials as catastrophic, saying: "My best mate wasn't even at my wedding. It was miserable... I literally cried the entire reception." She added: "We had to haggle our way through with the restaurant, could we have some burgers and put the tables together? There was no planning – I wasn't allowed to plan a wedding." ‌ The unravelling of her marriage to Graham came as her suspicions of infidelity resurfaced. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! She also revealed that Graham's refusal to sign a prenup led to a financial turmoil that took a toll on her mental health: "I couldn't breathe. Finances were spiralling. I thought, 'I'm going to lose everything,'". After such a traumatic experience with marriage, Myleene swore she wouldn't go through it again but she later found love with PR expert Simon Motson, whom she met on a blind date in 2015. The couple now share their five-year-old son Apollo together.

BBC presenter 'showed penis picture' to junior staff member in fresh scandal

A top BBC presenter reportedly showed a young staff member a picture of a penis, leaving the person 'horrified' and 'in tears' The BBC has reportedly been hit with another scandal with a top female presenter alleged to have shown a 'penis picture' to a junior member of staff - leaving them in tears. ‌ The star is alleged to have revealed an image of a man's penis on her phone during a casual conversation where she asked the producer if she "liked d*** pics". ‌ Insiders claim the star, who is listed among the BBC's 50 highest-paid employees, asked the young staff member an inappropriate question before showing the picture. The young producer was said to have been "horrified and in tears" over the encounter. It is unknown whose private parts were in the picture. ‌ Bosses were alerted about the encounter, and the presenter was brought into a private meeting where she was told to apologise for her actions. READ MORE: MasterChef's Gregg Wallace 'ruins' chance of redemption after 'slipping at first hurdle' The crisis has been described as a "ticking time bomb" by staff at the BBC, fearing there could be a widespread fallout if the presenter's identity became public. ‌ A source claimed to The Sun: 'This incident goes beyond ordinary workplace banter. The staff member felt intimidated and upset, believing the act was meant to shock under the guise of a joke. "There's a sense that if this had involved a male presenter, the repercussions would have been immediate and severe. The fact that it's a woman at the centre of this makes the situation even more striking.' The insider claimed the conversation was meant 'to be jokey, locker-room type banter' but it resulted in the young producer crying about it. ‌ A BBC spokesperson said: 'While we do not comment on individual cases, we take all complaints about conduct at work extremely seriously.' The BBC have been hit with a number of scandals in the last year, with the axing of a number of Strictly Come Dancing stars over their behaviour as well Gregg Wallace and John Torode being fired from MasterChef in recent weeks. The BBC also came under fire for their coverage of Glastonbury Festival. This year Welsh presenter Wynne Evans was axed from his radio job at the BBC over allegations about his conduct. The One Show host Jermaine Jenas was also sacked by the corporation for sending inappropriate messages to two female colleagues. Meanwhile, Huw Edwards pleaded guilty to having indecent images of children and was spared jail when he admitted three charges of 'making' indecent photographs after he was sent 41 illegal images by a convicted paedophile over WhatsApp. The former BBC presenter was handed a six-month prison sentence suspended for 24 months. He was also placed on the sex offenders register for seven years. The Mirror have reached out to the BBC for comment.
