Robbie Williams and wife Ayda splurge at Gleneagles ahead of Murrayfield concert
Williams will kick off his 'Britpop' tour at Edinburgh's Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium and as the capital gears up for road closures and thousands of fans this weekend, he and his family have been living it up one of Scotland's most exclusive hotels.
Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda have been living it up in Gleneagles before the start of his UK stadium tour in Scotland on Saturday.
Williams will kick off his 'Britpop' tour at Edinburgh's Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium and as the capital gears up for road closures and thousands of fans this weekend, he and his family have been living it up one of Scotland's most exclusive hotels.
Robbie's wife Ayda revealed they have been making the most of the drink offerings available at the £1600 a night five star hotel.
She shared some pictures enjoying the whisky offerings at the plush resort, a favourite of Prince William and Princess Kate, John Travolta, Oasis and Sir Sean Connery, when he was alive of course.
Showing off the beautiful gardens where she and Rock DJ star Robbie have been enjoying walks, she also shared pictures of the nearby stream.
After some rambling, she then made her way into one of the hotels restaurants where she showed off an ice bucket containing six bottles of wine including the non-alcoholic Wild Idol priced at £30 a bottle in shops, making it one of the more expensive non alcoholic alternatives.
Ayda joked: 'My drink order just arrived.'
Ayda also couldn't resist taking a picture of her table's next order which consisted of four bottles of The Macallan whisky including one Time: Space Mastery 200 anniversary edition that was worth £1200 in the shops and considerably more at Gleneagles.
She laughed: 'My other drink order just arrived.'
She then showed off a vintage bottle of £1500 Eschenauer Cognac from 1825 as well as a £300 Macallan sherry oak cask Highland Single malt.
Her celebrations continued with a crepe flambé as she joked: 'There may or may not have been alcohol in my dessert.'
Williams recently admitted to The Record that he had come to terms with his status as a cabaret artist.
The former Take That singer said he now sees himself as 'cringe' as he prepares to play in Scotland.
Williams, 51, said: 'I'm going backwards in time to Tommy Cooper and Morecambe & Wise, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin with a sweary twist. That's how I see myself now.
'Whereas before, I wanted to be rock 'n' roll and high octane, I'm Robbie from a boy band and I can now be this guy, the creature that I always really meant to be.'
He added: 'I'm embracing parts of showbusiness that people don't embrace these days.
'I want to be cabaret, world-class cabaret but with an edge, sweary cabaret I suppose.
'I think that it's cringe for a lot of people and not necessarily a high art form but some of the best people in the world have been cabaret. Count Basie, Liza Minnelli, Tom Jones.
'That's where I'm trying to propel myself and give myself purpose, to embrace this tour and get through it.
'I want to be the best entertainer there is. I don't see anybody trying to carve that lane out for themselves so that's what I'm trying to do.
'Music is healing as namaste as that sounds and nostalgia is also healing. Come and relive those moments that they lived with me in the past. It'll do them good and it'll do me good too. I'm really looking forward to it.'
The singer and Ayda have four children, Theodora, 11, Charlton, nine, Colette, five, and Beau, three.

Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher's red 1997 Bentley Turbo R has gone on sale priced at £1.2 million. The four-door saloon car listed on Auto Trader was previously owned by the 58-year-old, despite the fact he cannot drive, once telling Zoe Ball on the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show that he gave up learning after being mobbed by children when he was told to park close to a school for a lesson. The car also has the number plate 'OASI6 2', in reference to his Britpop band, who will reunite to play a run of gigs this year in the UK and Ireland, featuring stops at Manchester's Heaton Park, London's Wembley Stadium, and Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium, throughout July, August and September. Despite not being able to drive, Gallagher was ordered to pay a court £1,000 and was handed six penalty points in April 2023, for failing to tell police who was driving his Range Rover, when it was clocked speeding at 41mph on a 30mph stretch of the A40 in Edgware Road, West London. Speaking about his driving lesson in the 1990s, Gallagher told Ball in 2023: 'I have had one driving lesson in the 90s and I was driving round a housing estate in Slough and she (the instructor) said to me, 'if you just indicate and pull over here' then I pulled over. 'She got out the car she said, 'I'll be back in a minute', she came out with her mum, she drove me to her house. 'Then the local comprehensive bell went and they all came out. 'This is at the height of Oasis-mania and I was like, 'never, never again'.' Gallagher began his career in the 1990s with Oasis, who he formed alongside his brother singer Liam Gallagher. The band has gone on to have eight UK number one singles and eight UK number one albums, and is best known for songs such as Wonderwall, Rock 'N' Roll Star and Live Forever. The guitarist formed the High Flying Birds after Oasis's initial break-up in 2009, who have gone on to have four UK number one albums.

Drive Noel Gallagher's Bentley! Oasis star's iconic noughties motor goes on sale for huge seven-figure sum
Oasis star Noel Gallagher 's former 'pride and joy' retro Bentley Turbo R has hit the market for £1.2million. The 1997 model, which packs a punch with its 6.8L engine, was one of Gallagher's many cars which he could famously never drive after quitting his lessons while being mobbed by fans. Instead the legendary songwriter opted to be chauffeured around, with the deep red saloon just one of his many luxury motors. Its doors open to a cream leather seated interior, complemented by wood trim which allows prospective buyers into 'a slice of British rock and roll history'. Described as being in 'excellent condition' and 'surprisingly reliable', the five-door saloon is also kitted out with a registration plate which reads 'OA6I6 2' in a nod to the upcoming reunion. It has clocked 100,000 miles in its 28-year life, having been registered on March 25, 1997, and the accompanying logbook proves that it was once owned by Gallagher and five others. The car can hit top speeds of 150mph, though having been 'rarely driven', it may take an extra bit of greasing to get there. Erin Baker, Editorial Director at Auto Trader said: 'Cars listed by music legends don't come around very often, and Noel Gallagher's Bentley Turbo R is certainly one for the Auto Trader history books.' The deep red saloon was one of Gallagher's many cars which he could famously never drive after quitting his lessons while being mobbed by fans in the 1990s Gallagher previously told how his driving instructor caused a group of fans to mob him in the 1990s, meaning the Bentley and other 'expensive mistakes' like his 1967 Jaguar Mark II spent most of their time gathering dust. He told BBC Radio in 2023: 'I was driving round a housing estate in Slough and [the driving instructor] said to me, "pull in here". 'I pulled over and she got out of the car. 'She said "I'll be back in a minute" and came out with her mum. She'd driven me to her house and her mum was taking a picture of me in the street.' Things quickly descended and further chaos ensued for Gallagher when a local school bell rang and floods of pupils ran towards him. He said: 'I'm in a red Nissan Micra with a massive great big triangle on the top of it with an L, with all these kids coming out. 'This is at the height of Oasis mania. I was like, "never, never again am I getting in a car".' Though Gallagher doesn't have a license, he still splurges on luxury cars today - though he did brand his purchase of a vintage Jaguar as his 'most expensive mistake'. He previously said: 'I thought when I became a fully-blown rock star, I was gonna need a car. So I got a Jaguar Mark II from 1967, the year I was born. 'But they take about 18 months to two years to build, so I thought I'll easily have learned to drive in two years. 'This low-loader pulled up outside the house with this car on the back. I was putting the kettle on, thinking, 'f***ing lovely car, that. I'm gonna get one of those, one day'. 'And the guy knocked on the door and said 'Mr Gallagher? Your car!' I'd forgotten that I'd bought the car.' The convertible was said to have only covered nine miles in five years. In recent years, the rockstar was even hit with a six-month driving ban after his chauffeur-driven Range Rover racked up a number of speeding tickets. He appeared at Lavender Hill Magistrates Court in June 2023 and was ordered to pay more than £1000 for not naming who the driver was.

Arsenal and Chelsea dealt blow in pursuit of £49m transfer target
Arsenal and Chelsea have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Athletic Club winger Nico Williams, according to reports. Both Premier League clubs are seeking wide attacking reinforcements in the summer transfer window and had earmarked WIlliams as a potential target. Arsenal, in particular, were keen on on securing a deal, having failed with a move to sign the 22-year-old following Spain's success at Euro 2024 Andrea Berta, the club's new sporting director, had even met representatives to discuss a deal for the winger who has a €58 million (£49m) release clause in his current deal. Williams enjoyed a solid season with Athletic, scoring 11 goals and seven assists in all competitions to help guide his boyhood club back into the Champions League. Barcelona were previously interested in Williams' signature, but the Catalan giants have indicated that they will not look to sign the Spaniard this summer. 'He was one of the candidates we were looking at when we were evaluating options,' Barcelona president Juan Laporta told TV3 when asked about Barca's interest in Williams. 'We have a good profile of this player, who is an excellent player, but I think at this moment they are evaluating other options.'
