It has not yet been confirmed what will be filmed.
The roads are being closed to ensure the safety of film crews, pedestrians, and other road users during production.
Restrictions may also extend to pedestrian movements when cameras are rolling, stunt scenes are taking place, or rehearsals are underway, to guarantee the safety of cast, crew, and the public.

Details on the film are sparse, with Josh O'Connor being the only confirmed cast member as of yet. O'Connor is an English actor who recently took up a starring role in the 2024 film Challengers, also starring Zendaya and Mike Faist. The Jack of Spades film crew will take over Glasgow city centre between September 22 and 30. Filming on Cochrane Street and South Frederick Street will take place specifically on September 28 and 29. The following road closures will be in place in Glasgow city centre: Single lane closure and parking suspension on Cochrane Street (south side) from September 22 Full closure of Cochrane Street and South Frederick Street to vehicles from September 25 to 30 Glasgow City Council has confirmed a number of restrictions will be imposed between September 20 to 30, affecting 10 streets. Joel Coen is an American filmmaker who is known for working alongside his brother Ethan on a number of projects.
