Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy breaks down in tears as she marks nine months since the One Direction star's tragic death
The One Direction star died aged 31 on October 16 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and was found to have alcohol and cocaine in his system.
Content creator Kate, 26, who had been dating Liam for two years, has been documenting her grief journey on social media.
Wednesday marked nine months since Liam's death, and Kate became emotional as she shared a realisation she had had about the passing of time.
Kate revealed she had recently cut her hair, got new tattoos and had her ears pierced, which felt like big changes to her.
The big changes however were bittersweet as it made her think about how she would look different to how she did when Liam knew her.
She said: 'I don't know how heaven works but is Liam going to look how he looked the last time I saw him?
Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy broke down in tears as she marked nine months since his tragic death
'Since the last day that I saw him? Is he still going to be that beautiful, youthful human that he was and that he is?'
And Kate went on to say that she had been looking at old photos of herself with Liam before he died and admitted that she looked different.
She continued: 'And then I started thinking further ahead, that if I am blessed to live a long, happy, beautiful life - when my time comes will Liam recognise me?
'Like I'm going to be old I'm going to have wrinkles, grey hair, bony hips. How will Liam find me? How will he recognise me? And I just got really emotional.'
Kate revealed she had been with a friend when she got upset, but was given some touching advice.
She said: 'I was with my friend and my friend said "Kate of course he's going to recognise you" - sorry I'm shaking - "of course he's going to recognise you, he's going to recognise you no matter what you look like, it doesn't matter how old you are he's going to recognise you and you know what he's going to say to you? He's going to come up to you and look at you and he's going to say to you he's so glad you look the way you look. He's going to say you're lucky you were able to age and have these wrinkles and have the white hair and have the evidence of living these years without him by your side. He is going to be happy that you lived, and lived fully, and lived a life. And he's going to want to sit there and hear all about it."
'And it just really reminded me to stay strong and to carry on and to live my life to the fullest for what I can right now, not only for myself but for him. So here's to another day of living life without the person that I love. I miss you so much and I love you so much.'
Earlier this month Kate remembered the moment her and the late singer adopted their pet dog Nala.
The internet personality shared a sweet previously unseen clip to Instagram on Tuesday that bean with her and Nala enjoying a day at the beach.
Captioned: 'There wouldn't be this... without you,' it then switched to a video with Liam from when they first adopted Nala.
Kate wrote: 'I remember the day we got Nala, we walked into the room at the animal shelter and Nala was the only dog not barking.
'Liam pointed her out and we took her home now I need to learn how to get her to stop barking.'
And last month Kate revealed a sweet moment in her day that made her feel connected to her late ex.
Kate took to her Story to reveal that during her trip to get her nails done, the salon starting playing One Direction song What Makes You Beautiful on the speaker.
The timing of the song coming on was particularly poignant for her as when it started playing she had just done a post about her changing appearance over the years and which tweakments she has had done.
She said in a clip: 'I just left the nail salon I am in awe.
'I was in the nail salon and I did a post about the last two years and about how I feel about my appearance and how my looks have changed the literal second I pressed post What Makes You Beautiful Came on.
'The first line of that song is 'you don't need makeup to cover up, being the way that you are is enough', and it couldn't have been a more perfect song to come on. I'm so happy I can't explain it.'
Her previous clip said: 'Please volume this so hard to hear. PLS CHECK MY LAST REEL AS SOON AS I PRESSED POST you don't know you're beautiful came on at the salon. I'm in awe.'

Dog the Bounty Hunter's grandson, 13, shot and killed by his own dad in family tragedy
DOG the Bounty Hunter's 13-year-old step-grandson has been shot dead by his own dad. The reality star's step-son shot and killed Dog's step-grandson - in what is believed to have been a tragic accident, TMZ reported. 6 6 6 6 Dog, whose real name is Duane Chapman, is married to Francie, whose son Gregory Zecca, 38, reportedly killed his teenage son Anthony at their apartment in Naples, Florida. The freak accident occurred on Saturday night. Dog, 78, is not directly related to Zecca or his tragic teenage son - since he was born during Francie's previous marriage. Police confirmed that they responded to a call about a shooting at around 8pm local time. No arrests have been made yet in what they described as an "isolated incident". An investigation into the circumstances of the horrific accident is still ongoing. A spokesperson for Dog and Francie told TMZ: "We are grieving as a family over this incomprehensible tragic accident and would ask for continued prayers as we grieve the loss of our beloved grandson, Anthony." Dog and his wife married in 2021 after each of their partners passed away. They said they bonded over their shared grief during their relationship. Zecca reportedly works with Dog on his bounty hunting team alongside Dog's daughter, Lyssa. Dog's step-son was also a gun enthusiast - and has previously shared photos of him "getting some range tine in" with his son and their rifle back in 2021. Reality personality Dog is a renowned bounty hunter and former bail bondsman. In a 2010 interview with The Guardian, Chapman revealed the hidden meaning behind his name. Chapman told the media outlet: "When I was in a motorcycle gang I was made sergeant of arms. "He's the smallest guy with the biggest mouth who starts all the fights. "The club president called me 'God spelled backwards' because I spoke about God and I was man's best friend. "In the bounty hunter world it turned into 'this dog can hunt'." Chapman rose to fame as a bounty hunter in 2003, after his successful capture of Max Factor heir Andrew Luster in Mexico. He went on to catch more than 10,000 fugitives according to an interview published in The New York Times back in January of 2020. This is not the first time the bounty hunter has been plagued by a freak tragedy. The night before his wedding with former partner Beth in 2006, Dog received the horrific news that his daughter Barbara, 23, had been killed in a car accident while in a stolen SUV in Alaska. 6 .

Woman who fell to her death from tower block ‘was suing celebrity antiques dealer ex for their £2.7m London home'
A MUM who fell to her death from a tower block was entangled in a bitter legal battle with her celebrity antiques dealer fiance over their £2.7million London home. Rachel O'Hare was tragically pronounced dead at the scene in the heart of Manchester on Monday, June 30, after falling to her death. 3 3 As reported by the Mail, the 49-year-old was suing her ex-lover Owen Pacey, 60, over their £2.7million four-bedroom London home. Tributes poured in for the widely-respected charity fundraiser, who co-founded a group which worked to help vulnerable women in refuges. Her charity Elle for Elle aimed to support women in need with basic toiletries and beauty products, with the charity's work said to have been praised in Westminster. She is also believed to have held a role with The Cheshire Magazine, coordinating charity events both in the Cheshire area and further afield. O'Hare died just four days after a hearing in a bitter property dispute with her fiance at Leeds Combined Court on June 26. The mum-of-three had stated in legal documents that she paid for the Wilkes Street home using divorce settlement funds and a loan, and that it was rightfully hers. She claimed: 'The first defendant said he had no money to contribute when the property was purchased but would be able to pay the claimant for his share in due course.' She also alleged that Mr Pacey later locked her out of the house, refused to pay bills, and threatened to 'trash' the interior of their luxury London home. The glam pad was said to be filled with Italian chandeliers, designer furniture, and swanky art. Mr Pacey, a self-made antique fireplace dealer has boasted a celebrity client list including Mick Jagger, Naomi Campbell and Kate Winslet. Woman who died after 'falling from UK city building' is pictured as tributes paid to 'widely-respected' charity worker He said he did not have the funds to put towards the property but would pay for his share "in due course," according to court documents seen by the Mail. The couple met in 2020 after Ms O'Hare bought a table from his showroom and began a rapid-fire romance. Pacey claimed it was "love at first sight" in an interview and by June 2021 they had purchased the property together. According to the MailOnline, they had reportedly signed documents - drawn up by solicitors overseeing the purchase of the house - agreeing that the house would pass fully to the surviving partner if either of them died. Because of this, Mr Pacey became the sole legal owner of the property following his fiance's death. O'Hare had remained in Cheshire with her teenage kids while Mr Pacey moved into their Spitalfields home. She reportedly claimed he had promised to pay her back once he sold a £1.2million apartment above his shop in Shoreditch. To reassure her, he had allegedly agreed to put half of his £5million fireplace business in her name, but never did. Ms O'Hare said they had promised to share the cost of renovation work, but she footed most of the bills when he failed to pay contractors. This included a whopping £14,000 bill for radiator valves alone. The mum had already taken a loan to pay for the property and used funds from her divorce with millionaire investment boss ex Steve O'Hare. Mr Pacey allegedly gave her documents to sign, which led her to believe he was in the process of sorting out the legal side of things. According to the MailOnline, she said that she also received messages telling her her name was on the title deed of the flat or shop to reassure her. Later, she allegedly claimed Mr Pacey had been controlling and that their relationship had broken down multiple times. Legal papers reportedly described their relationship as 'turbulent.' They were engaged in December 2022, but by May 2024, the pair had separated permanently. She was pursuing legal action in the High Court, and the pair were due to face off at trial in the coming months. Tragically, her body was found on June 30 outside her apartment block in Manchester city centre. Police have confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death, and an inquest is due to open this week. Documents show Ms O'Hare believed she was entitled to full ownership of the Spitalfields property. But due to the agreement they signed in 2021, writing that if either of them died, the other would automatically inherit the house, the property reverted to Mr Pacey. He now has full ownership of the home after O'Hare's sudden death. In a defence statement submitted to the court, Mr Pacey denied persuading Rachel to buy the house in their joint names. Mr Pacey says that Rachel agreed to do so because they were in love. He also claimed that there was no discussion about him paying for half of the house or transferring over 50 per cent of his business. The defence document said: "The parties (Ms O'Hare and Mr Pacey) were going to get married and there was just no discussion about who owned what. Mr Pacey also has denied being controlling and claimed that the couple only seriously argued twice - once in Kent, during the summer of 2023, and once in New York in May 2024. He says that Rachel was drunk during both occasions. In his defence statement, dated February this year, he also denied refusing allowing Rachel access to the house or not paying bills and threatening to trash it. Mr Pacey claims that he paid £70,000 towards the house's refurbishment and that provided much of the furniture from his shop. According to him, he installed six Italian fireplaces worth £350,000. According to his statement, Mr Pacey wanted to get the Georgian Townhouse and the maisonette, in order to buy Rachel out of both properties. When approached by the Daily Mail, Mr Pacey refused to speak about any legal disputes with Rachel. Instead, he said: "I worshipped the ground Rachel walked on." Mr Pacey also claimed that his former fiancée had been suffering from poor mental health in the weeks leading up to her death and had allegedly recently been treated in hospital. He added: "I'm suffering with my own mental health. I don't want to be here without her." 3

Kate Beckinsale the pillar of strength: How she supported mother Judy Loe before her passing despite her own health woes and being 'paralysed' with grief after stepfather Roy's death
Kate Beckinsale was a pillar of strength and support for her mother Judy Loe before passing away aged 78. The actress, 51, shared the heartbreaking news that her mother had passed away on July 15 after 'immeasurable suffering', leaving Kate 'paralysed' with grief. Judy's cause of death wasn't confirmed however Kate previously revealed her mother been battling stage four cancer for the last two years. Kate has been by her mother's side throughout her cancer battle and flew to LA from the UK to care for her, despite the Underworld actress dealing with her own health woes and the death of her stepfather Roy. In 2024, Kate sparked concern among her fans as she was hospitalised for six weeks due to 'copiously vomiting blood caused by the stress'. However, she continued to care for her mother, whose death comes just 18 months after the death of Judy's second husband and Kate's stepfather Roy, who died in January 2024. He was hospitalised in Los Angeles in December 2023 after suffering 'a massive stroke' while battling two forms of cancer, which he was diagnosed with in the summer prior. Tragically this wasn't the first time Judy was widowed after the shock death of her first husband Richard Beckinsale in 1979, when Kate was just five-years-old. The actor, famed for his roles in popular shows Rising Damp and Porridge, suddenly passed away on March 19, 1979 at the age of just 31, leaving behind his devastated wife Judy and Kate and her sister Samantha. Sharing the news of her mother's death on Thursday, Kate posted a compilation of snaps as she penned: 'I don't want to post this. I am only posting this because I have had to register my mother's death certificate and it will soon become public record. 'She died the night of July 15th in my arms after immeasurable suffering. I have not picked all the best photos, nor the best videos, because I cannot bear to go through my camera roll yet. 'I deeply apologise to any of her friends who are finding out this way or through the press, but I cannot go through her phone. 'I am paralysed. Jude was the compass of my life, the love of my life, my dearest friend. The vastness and huge heart of this tiny woman has touched so many people who love her dearly. 'She has been brave in so many ways, forgiving sometimes too much, believing in the ultimate good in people and the world is so dim without her that it is nearly impossible to bear.' She finished: 'Mama, I love you so much. This has been my greatest fear since finding my father dead at five and I am here. Oh my Mama.. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I am so sorry.' Kate's father Richard died when she was just five-years-old after he suffered a shock heart attack in his sleep brought on by undiagnosed coronary artery disease. At the time was in fact Judy who was the family's focus then, as she was in hospital recovering from an operation to unblock her fallopian tubes, so she could have more children. When she emerged, she learned her operation had been a success, but that her husband had died. The day before his death, Richard had taken Kate - who was just five-years-old at the time - to visit her mother in hospital and had no physical complaints, simply saying he felt tired. That evening, Richard attended a party for The Two Ronnies before returning to the family home in Sunningdale, Berks. The last anyone heard from the rising comedy star was in a phone call he made to friends before going to bed, in which he noted he had pains in his arms and chest but made light of it. Tragically, Richard never woke up. Kate, who had been looked after by a family friend who came to babysit her at home, has said she still suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder 'from discovering my very young father's almost-dead body as a very young child alone in the night.' It was a trauma which was 'reactivated' by losing Roy all these years later as she revealed a year after his passing that she'll forever be 'haunted' after seeing Roy die. Roy, the director of TV greats including Inspector Morse, Cracker and A Touch Of Frost, came into Kate's life three years after her father died. Alongside a beaming snap of Roy, Kate penned: 'Finding my father's dead body alone in the middle of the night at the age of five shaped my entire life. Seeing my beloved stepfather die a year ago today will haunt me forever. 'It does seem terribly careless to have managed to be present for both deaths and unable to prevent either, the second time trying with every single thing I had. It was not enough. 'In the process of losing my beloved Roy I lost family, friendships, at some points my own health, and all the money I had due to how disgusting the American healthcare system is for those who are not insured. I would do it again. No question. 'I cannot help feeling that I dreadfully failed -but I am trying to console myself today with all the preparation that he did in the last years of his life, how deeply he studied and practised as a Jungian and how thin the veil is between the energy of this life and whatever is next, that some part of him was at peace with it. 'It does feel like a lie I am telling myself to try and feel better, however. Perhaps I am just unfortunately not enlightened enough to sell that to myself over my sense of loss, guilt and failure.'
