McDonald's drive-thru blocked off after car shot up in DeKalb County
Officers have taped off the drive-thru window at the fast food restaurant in the 2700 block of Panola Road.

Channel 2's Steve Gehlbach spotted a car with several gunshot holes in its front windshield.
A witness told Gehlbach that another car pulled up to the drive-thru and started shooting.
Channel 2 Action News has reached out to DeKalb County Police to confirm if anyone was injured.

Mass. man arrested after stealing truck with two French bulldogs inside, police say
Police arrested a Brockton man on Friday after he stole a pickup truck with two French bulldogs inside it from a McDonald's parking lot in Weymouth the day prior, according to police. Marcus Morse, 29, has been charged with two counts of animal cruelty and larceny over $1,200 and one count of larceny of a motor vehicle, receiving a stolen motor vehicle and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, Weymouth police said in a press release. Morse is also facing criminal charges out of Winchendon and Falmouth District Courts. On Aug. 7, Weymouth police responded to the McDonald's at 701 Bridge St. around 4:30 p.m. for a report that a vehicle had been stolen, the police department said. At the scene, a woman said she'd left her Nissan Frontier in the parking lot unlocked with the keys inside as she picked up food from the restaurant. Two small French bulldogs were in the truck when it was stolen. Detectives continued their investigation into the theft the next day and soon found that someone was trying to sell the stolen pickup online, police said. The seller's listing included a photo of the truck with its license plate. Investigators soon discovered that the pickup was now located at Morse's home in Brockton, police said. Officers found the two dogs still in the truck, which had heated up internally. Brockton Animal Control evaluated the dogs before releasing them into Weymouth police custody, police said. Officers arrested Morse at the scene. No further information has been released. Kin of tragic tot tossed into East River suing NYPD for $60M, claim cops told mom, ‘So what?'
The grieving mother of a 2-year-old boy tossed to his death in the East River is suing the city and the NYPD for $60 million, accusing them of failing to try to save him when told he'd been taken by his dad. Cierra Carroll, 17, claims in a new complaint that police misclassified her call when she reported little Montrell Williams missing in May — with someone even hanging up the phone after asking, 'So what?' 'Montrell Williams should be here today if it wasn't for the NYPD being neglectful in finding him,' family spokesman Rev. Kevin McCall said at a press conference outside the NYPD 40th Precinct stationhouse on Friday, according to the Daily News. 4 Montrell Williams, 2, was killed when he was tossed off a Bronx overpass on May 11, allegedly by his father. 'No amount of money will bring him back,' McCall said. 'However, the NYPD has to be held responsible.' Carroll said she called police on May 11 after Montrell's father, 20-year-old Arius Williams, failed to return him — but cops blew her off when she called 911, she claims. 'They told me not to follow him and to go to the police to file a complaint,' Carroll told the Daily Mail. 'I told the police that he had a warrant, they said, 'So what?'' That official then 'hung up the phone,' according to Carroll's own mom, Octavia Roane.
