Detroit Lions safety Morice Norris was removed from the field on a stretcher in Atlanta following a frightening collision in Friday's preseason opener against the Falcons.
Players from both teams took a knee as Norris was treated by medical personnel and removed from the turf at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Later players joined hands for a prayer circle at mid-field.
Details of the injury were not immediately known.
Norris was seen lowering his head as he attempted to tackle Falcons running back Nathan Carter in the second half. Carter's knee appeared to hit Norris' helmet, sending the 24-year-old's head jerking backwards as he fell to the turf.

Shedeur Sanders confronts 'negative' journalist in the tunnel following his stunning Cleveland Browns debut

Shedeur Sanders was filmed calling out a critical local journalist just moments after his stunning debut for the Cleveland Browns on Friday night. Sanders has faced extreme scrutiny during this summer's offseason after his notorious slide down the NFL Draft board back in April. The son of NFL legend Deion Sanders, who coached Shedeur at Colorado in college football, finally landed with the Browns and got his first taste of NFL action on Friday night. The 23-year-old took his chance and completed 14 of 23 passes for 138 yards and two touchdown passes as the Browns defeated the Carolina Panthers 30-10. But, in the moments after the game, Sanders spoke with local Cleveland sports writer and radio personality Tony Grossi in the tunnel. Sanders was not confrontational but the quarterback did question why Grossi had been critical of him in his coverage this summer. 'Tony, I be hoping you have something positive to say about me,' Sanders tells Grossi in the footage captured by Deion Sanders Jr.'s Well Off Media. 'You only say negative stuff about me. And I'm like, "I ain't do nothing to you".' It is unclear what Grossi said in response but Sanders continued, adding: 'I ain't hear nothing positive you've ever said.' Whatever Grossi said in response prompted a laugh and playful shoulder pat from the quarterback, who remained steadfast in his opinion of the negative coverage. 'What I do to you, Tony?' Sanders asks as he starts walking back to the locker room. Grossi said after Friday night's game that Sanders' performance was 'outstanding'. In fact, his preseason debut was so impressive that even LeBron James took notice. 'That young (man) looking good out there,' James posted on X. 'Keep going UP!!! HEAD down on the grind and HEAD high to the most high.' Sanders, a highly-rated draft prospect who endured a dramatic fall into the fifth round in April, entered the game fourth on the Browns depth chart, but was pressed into starting duty because of injuries. His status could change after he led three touchdown drives in nearly three full quarters of action, showing tremendous poise and awareness in the pocket. Sanders said he's not worried about how the depth chart shakes out. 'When I get out there it's just doing what I gotta do,' Sanders said. 'Everything else is not in my hands, so I don't worry about it. I just don´t think that deep into everything because it´s nothing you´re gonna be able to control. So why put energy in something that you can´t control?' Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said he was pleased with how Sanders played, but said it's too early to know if he will get more reps in practice or start the next preseason game against the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in what is viewed as an open quarterback competition. 'I'm honestly not focused there,' Stefanski said. 'I think the guys need to continue to earn their roles. That´s what these guys are doing.'

Sydney Sweeney could get a massive paycheck if she signs deal with Bud Light after Dylan Mulvaney fiasco

Sydney Sweeney could rake in $10million amid speculation that she's set to become the new face of Bud Light. Industry experts believe the actress , 27, could turn the criticism over her American Eagle jeans campaign to her favor by taking advantage of her popularity among conservative Americans. Bud Light's parent company Anheuser-Busch is still looking to recover from an ad deal with the trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney that backfired spectacularly. The move cost the brand $1.4bn in U.S. sales and led to a 15.3 per cent drop in revenue. Christopher Chatham, an expert in negotiating celebrity endorsement deals at the consultancy Manatt, told the Daily Mail that Sydney is a 'compelling candidate' to resuscitate Bud's sales. He said: 'Sydney Sweeney's American Eagle campaign delivered undeniable commercial impact - denim sales surged and the brand's stock climbed. That kind of performance makes her a compelling candidate for Bud Light, especially as the brand considers options in responding to past criticism. 'Beer brands pay for reach, resilience, and relevance - and Sweeney delivers all three, so it would not be surprising if a Bud Light endorsement deal were to approach or potentially reach the seven-figure range.' The ad featuring Dylan prompted a national boycott and a steep decline in Bud Light's market position. Although Anheuser-Busch executives have attempted to stabilize the brand through partnerships with celebrities like Peyton Manning, Emmitt Smith, and Post Malone, Bud Light regained only 1.2 percentage points of its lost market share from May 2023 to February 2024. After the criticism, the company's CEO Michel Doukeris said the beer brand was making slow progress in recovering its customer base, adding: 'It's not at the fast pace that we were expecting or that we've been working for, but nevertheless, progress is in place.' Fresh ideas: Fox News contributor Jimmy Failla proposed the bold marketing ploy starring Sydney to help revive Bud Light's declining sales In a comment article on Tuesday Op-Ed, Jimmy Failla wrote: 'Hire Sydney Sweeney to be your next pitchperson immediately because she's everything your brand needs to get back on its feet.' Sydney's campaign for American Eagle, which used the tagline 'Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans', led to a 23 per cent increase in the clothing brand's stock. However, the ad also drew criticism from some commentators who accused American Eagle of using racially coded language. Critics claimed the pun on 'great genes' referenced Sydney's ancestry and suggested eugenics-related themes. The American Eagle add even caught the attention of President Donald Trump who rushed to the actress's defense against the 'woke' mafia coming for her after learning that she has been a registered Republican since last June. The president said: 'Sydney Sweeney, a registered Republican, has the "HOTTEST" ad out there. It's for American Eagle, and the jeans are "flying off the shelves". Go get 'em Sydney!' American Eagle has since denied the controversy surrounding the axd, stating on social media: 'Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans' is and always was about the jeans. Her jeans. Her story.' Sydney also defended the campaign, saying in a press release that the brand makes her feel 'confident and comfortable in her own skin'. If a deal with Bud Light ever actually comes to fruition, it could be a major boost for Anheuser-Busch. For now, no deal has been officially announced.
