Bigg Boss Season 19 will kick start with 15 contestants. Three wild card contestants will join the show in the upcoming week, and towards the end, some ex-contestants from the show might also reportedly enter the house. A source close to the show said, 'The bedroom can only accommodate 15 people in the house this year. There will be 15 beds, and most likely there might not be any double beds in the house this time.' Another source also informed us that the show has been preponed from its earlier premiere date of August 30. The reason behind the same is the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations that will begin from August 27. Now Salman Khan will shoot for the show on August 22nd and 23rd.

While the politics-themed format for this season has been officially confirmed, we've learned some additional details about what viewers can expect. According to our source, contestants will reportedly be divided into two teams upon entering the house — the ruling party and the opposition. This division is expected to take place through a fun on-stage activity on stage with host Salman Khan.
Each party will be required to nominate one member from their team every week to contest for the position of leader. The final decision will be made through a ballot vote, and the elected contestant will form the 'sarkaar' for that week. In an interesting twist, the leader will have the authority to assign responsibilities, not just within their own team but also to the opposition. They may also be given the power to appoint ministers, such as a kitchen minister, bedroom minister, etc., who will be responsible for ensuring tasks are completed. Additionally, both teams will receive secret tasks, either as a group or individually, and successfully completing them will help earn ration for the week.
According to Bigg Boss Tazaa Khabar, Sreerama Chandra and Hunar Hali have been confirmed as contestants for the upcoming season. Gurucharan Singh has also been approached for the show. Others who are reportedly in talks include Aamir Ali, Mugdha Chapekar, Chandni Sharma, Niyati Fatnani, Amaal Mallik, Mr. Faisu, Jannat Zubair, Rati Pandey, Dhanashree Verma, Apoorva Mukhija, and Gaurav Khanna. Additionally, several social media influencers are said to be in the running this season.
Bigg Boss 19 is going to premiere on JioHotstar and Colors TV. As per reports, the show will stream on JioHotstar at 9 pm and air on Colors TV at 10:30 pm.

Saiyaara Actor Varun Badola Takes Dig At Film's PR Team: 'They Went Overboard With IV Drips'
Saiyaara star Varun Badola reacts to viral theatre frenzy, saying PR team went overboard with IV drip stunts and bangles-breaking antics. Calls success real. Ahaan Panday's debut film Saiyaara may be breaking box office records, but not everyone is on board with how the film has been promoted. Veteran actor Varun Badola, who played Ahaan's father in the romantic drama, has taken a subtle yet scathing dig at the film's PR machinery. The Mohit Suri directorial, also starring Aneet Padda, has now crossed the Rs 500 crore mark globally, with over Rs 300 crore earned in India alone. While its box office run has been historic, Saiyaara also went viral for dramatic audience reactions — fans fainting, crying uncontrollably, tearing their shirts, and even showing up to theatres hooked to IV drips. While producer Akshaye Widhani and director Suri have maintained that the reactions were organic and not planted, Varun Badola offered a more grounded take in an interview with Screen. 'When we were working on the film, we hadn't thought it would get so big… But on the third day of the release, when the film blew up at the box office, we realized it had gone big. I still haven't watched Saiyaara," he revealed. Commenting on the viral videos, Badola didn't hold back: 'By the third or fourth day, the film was being talked about. I saw the euphoria on Instagram. Log jo chudiyaan tod rahe hai, chaatiyaan peet rahe hai (People were breaking bangles and beating their chests). I think the promotions team went a little overboard… putting IV drips. Those people must have been told to give content. Thank god, people didn't get their legs broken and go crawling to see the film." Despite his candid remarks, Badola acknowledged the film's real impact. 'It's okay. We understand promoting the film, but it's good only up to a certain level. However, the film cannot earn so much money just based on Instagram promotions. People have gone and seen the film, and they have loved it," he concluded. With Saiyaara continuing its golden run, Ahaan Panday has officially arrived in Bollywood. Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. 'Saiyaara' actor Varun Badola contradicts director Mohit Suri's claims of organic response, saying 'promotional team went overboard': 'Thank god people didn't go crawling to see the film'
Actor Varun Badola never shies away from expressing his thoughts on any matter. And this time, he talked about his recently released film, 'Saiyaara.' The actor shared that he has not watched the film yet. In the film starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda as lead actors, Varun played the role of the former's father. During a recent interaction, the actor went on to say that the promotions team went a bit overboard on social media. Here's a closer look at what Varun Badola said. Varun Badola says the promotions team of 'Saiyaara' went overboard In an interview with Screen, Varun Badola shared that after the third or fourth day of its release, he realised that the film was getting a massive response. The actor stated that he saw the "euphoria" on Instagram. He said, "Log jo chudiya todd rahey hai, chhaatiyaan peet rahe hai. I think the promotions team went a little overboard there, where people are going to see the film, putting IV drips." Badola's statement directly contradicts what the film's director, Mohit Suri , recently said during a podcast. The filmmaker had stated that all the reactions were organic. Varun went on to share that the people who shared posts about the film on social media must have been told to upload content in one way or another. He added, "Thank god people didn't get their legs broken and went crawling to see the film." Varun acknowledged the need for promotions for the film, but he feels it is good "only up to a certain level". Badola also clarified that a film would not score such a big number at the box office just because of the Instagram promotions. He added that people actually watched the film and loved it. 'Saiyaara' breaks lifetime records of 'War' and 'Dunki' by crossing ₹500 cr worldwide in 18 days. More about 'Saiyaara' The Mohit Suri-directed movie has crossed the Rs 500 crore mark at the box office globally. The film has broken several records and is now one of the highest grossers of 2025. Backed by Aditya Chopra , the film was released in theatres on July 18, 2025.

Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya in Bigg Boss 19? Actress says, ‘Such…'
Bigg Boss 19 is just around the corner, and the suspense is already building. With Salman Khan returning as host, fans are eagerly waiting to see which celebs will enter the house. One name that keeps popping up is Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya. Her entry has sparked major curiosity — but is she really going in? Divyanka Tripathi finally broke her silence. In a short and sharp reply to Telly Talk, she said, 'Fake, they spread such news every year.' And with that one line, the speculation around her stepping into the Bigg Boss house seemed to collapse. But if the rumour was fake, why are whispers refusing to die down? So, was she even approached? According to Bigg Boss Tak on X (formerly Twitter), Divyanka was approached. Not just her — her ex, actor Sharad Malhotra, was apparently on the list too. The post read, 'EXCLUSIVE: Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya and Sharad Malhotra have been approached for Bigg Boss 19. Likely to be confirmed.' 🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya and Sharad Malhotra have been approached for Bigg Boss 19. Likely to be confirmed. #BiggBoss_Tak — #BiggBoss_Tak👁 (@BiggBoss_Tak) August 6, 2025 And that one post was enough to send fans into a spiral — especially those who remember the past. What's the story with Sharad and Divyanka? Their story goes way back — the Banoo Main Teri Dulhann days. The co-stars were a couple for nearly eight years before calling it quits in 2015. Both are now married to different partners — Sharad to Ripci Bhatia, and Divyanka to Vivek Dahiya. But the idea of both of them under the same roof? That's Bigg Boss gold. Who else is in the mix this season? Fan pages have thrown up a wide net of names: Rati Pandey, Hunar Hali, Apoorva Mukhija aka The Rebel Kid, Dhanashree Verma, Mr. Faisu, Bhavika Sharma, Meera Deosthale, and Sreeram Chandra. And then there's the Taarak Mehta squad: Shailesh Lodha, Gurucharan Singh, and Jennifer Mistry. Yes, you read that right. There was a bizarre buzz that a UAE-based robot named Habubu might enter the house. But a report by The Indian Express hinted that the makers might've scrapped the idea altogether. So, what's the truth? In the world of Bigg Boss, nothing's real until it's on screen. Divyanka might've said 'Fake,' but reality TV has its own rules — and sometimes, they bend the truth just right.
