A man in his 50s has died after a tractor crashed into parked vehicles at a vintage car show - as a drink driver is arrested.
The horrifying collision happened in the village of Fiddington, Somerset, at around 11.25pm on Saturday, near the Severn Vale Vintage Club event.
A passenger was seriously injured, with members of the public and police officers providing first aid - but he tragically died at the scene near Monks Lane.
His next of kin and the coroner are aware.
A man in his 20s, who is believed to have been driving the farm vehicle, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving while unfit through alcohol.
Organisers of the nearby annual vintage car event, which had been set to enter its second and final day today, said it would close today following the crash.
Gloucestershire Police have now launched an urgent appeal for information and witnesses.
The vintage show, held near the town of Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, included 'vehicles and machinery from yesteryear', according to its website.
The event, dubbed a 'fabulous weekend of all things vintage', also had arena displays, dog classes and traditional country games.
In a brief statement on its homepage, the Severn Vale Vintage Club said: 'Any online purchases will be re-funded in due course. Please accept our apologies.'
Another on its Facebook page read: 'For unforeseen circumstances the show has had to close today, we will NOT be open Sunday.
'All online ticket purchases will be refunded in due course, very sorry for any inconvenience, thanks.'
The Severn Vale Vintage Club is run by lovers of classic vehicles and machinery, including tractors, steam engines, cars, motorbikes, lorries and caravans.
People can get in touch via the force's online form, quoting incident 591 of August 9.
